http://www.11alive.com/rss/article/273729/3/Moody-AFB-briefly-on-lockdown-Wednesday-afternoon according to this all clear. dont freakin scare us like that Dave........
-
excuse me if this is simplistic, but why not open in the one format (say dds) then save as filename.jpg? so long as you have the software (with plugin) that can view both. have not messed with dds much myself, but pretty sure i did this awhile back to convert........

Thank you! works good in CS6 as well.

not much. the last ones were retired end of 83, with the last flight being Feb of 84. IRL they carried mostly the same loadouts as in Nam, with the Weasels being used as stopgap to train crews on technique til the F-4G came online. the D's would have been the same ole bombtrucks they were in Rolling Thunder. of course in your world cant say what they might have been uprated to carry......

Icarus i goofed on the initial release and forgot to add the decals. i've uploaded the corrected file including decal folder. if you d/l'd after yesterday morning or still have probs after getting the new version let me know. Again to all who got it w/o the decal folder at first, my apologies. mandatory screenie. somewhere in England, early 80s.......

np Stary. Slarti, it would most certainly be appreciated. i'm more USAF and Europe centered in my gameplaying and modding even tho i'm trudging thru a naval Phantom mod. any help with other services and terrians is much appreciated.
-
Stary there is a Realism Mod in the works. Started by Dave, worked on by Malibu43 and Home Fries and myself. I currently have the files so far and am working to sift through and package for a release. i've been directing efforts to improvement of what is available through TW, but there is alot of good stuff in there. not gonna leave anything out, but might shift somethings to a modder folder if its : not 1956-1984 (stock year spread), not covered in the 4 historical terrains, and not a stock aircraft. Ships and ground objects i'm still debating......

uploaded a new version with decal folder. my apologies to all who have d/l'd so far........

Dassault Mirage 5H - Hellenic Air Force
daddyairplanes replied to Spinners's topic in Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
wiki says its an idntification symbol. i guess like our 'USAF' its all greek to me! -
I usually load what i want them to attack with. esp Mavericks if flying aftre 72, and i typically have them run interference on SEAD while i go for the main target.
-
there doesnt appear to a AH-1Q or S anywhere, even at that other site that shall not be named. anyone thinkin of makin one
-
its uploaded gents. Spinners, i wanna know which country gets em by the weekend personally, given i tested in Piecemeals Desert terrain, i think Dhimar is a natural to fly in the desert. for those that want historical, first 3 serials are the ones that actually flew these colors. even lists em in the drop down menu.

View File F-105D Hill AFB Skins Semi Historical Hill AFB F-105D Skins The 466th TFS, USAF Reserve, was lhe last operator of the F-105 Thunderchief. They flew their last mission before converting to the F-16A in 1984. Due to how long they flew the 'Thud' and their proximity to Ogden Air Logistics Center, where many aircraft go to be repainted, they flew 3 Thuds in colors other than the traditional SEA camo. Those schemes (SEA Wraparound, European 1, and a one off Desert scheme based on the pattern of the first two) are represented here. Also provided are black tailcode for the 466th ('HI') and 50 black serial numbers. Sorry only 50 as the Thud was getting rarer by that time. The first 10 serials are historical with the first 3 being the ones used by the aircraft so painted. the other 40 numbers are redone TW serials spanning FY59-62. This is not a completely accurate rendition, the pattern is different than T.O. 1-1-4 states for SEA Wraparound and Euro 1. What I did was to wraparound the stock skin, then swap the colors (as was done IRL). I also did not do the nose art's for the aircraft due to other commmitments, and lack of time. Much credit goes to : ludo.54m for his templates, which allowed me more freedom to color while keeping the panel lines and rivets Soulfreak, both for the idea and material support with references TK for the stock bird and decals the greater CA community for support and education over the years Included in the mod are Desert, Euro 1 and SEA Wraparound skins my Expanded Squadronlist.ini, which puts 466th TFS as selectable in menu the Photoshop templates I used to create this mod. Installation unzip the files, copy and paste to the appropriate folders. Allow merging of Aircraft and Decal folders. Enjoy Thank you for downloading this mod! daddyairplanes aka Kevin Unruh 16 Jan 2013 Submitter daddyairplanes Submitted 01/17/2013 Category F-105

Upgrading stock campaigns: Northern Sabre...any other ideas?
daddyairplanes replied to macelena's topic in General Discussion
Limas were intro'd in 78. J, N, and P model 'Winders thru the 70s. also the original B was equipped for LABS delivery, so i dont see why the radar wouldn't have an a2g mode. still huntin that answer down..... but much agreed about the N. w/o slotted stabs might as well stay with Storms and just add the DECM via fake pilot....... -
surely you cant be serious
-
understood. main reason i've put so much work in on this is been sidelined from with the flu so no work or school. getting black numbs done up now, first three will be historical. prob will release w/o the nose arts for now tho. not hard to make the decal, its the decal ini dance to place it correctly, not to mention that not all nose arts were in the same place. no worries, a project for 2013 as i said somewhere before is to give the Thud the same decal/unit treatment as i gave AF Phantoms. will update then with nose arts if someone hasnt beat me to it. no worries tho folks it'll be a quick two weeks.................
-
while its understandable this is a what if, i tink M1.15 is pushin it for top speed on the airframe. there were studies to swap out the J52 with the F404, tho non afterburning would honestly give better than stock performance with better than before fuel consumption. you have Sparrows loaded, is it being a killer for another a/c's hunter? need a bigger radar than that Scooter can hold in its nose. might wanna swap for AMRAAMs. finally why 50 cal? when the Isrealis got rid of the 20mm Colts they swapped with 30 mm DEFAs. despite the fact you used a gatling gun, weight of lead can be as important as volume of lead. other wise looks really good. just givin my two cents, your free to spend it or fling it in a fountain as you wish.

Upgrading stock campaigns: Northern Sabre...any other ideas?
daddyairplanes replied to macelena's topic in General Discussion
Shouldnt be the case icarus, those two mentioned are stock. another problem i heard mentioned (on the release thread for the N over at TW) is lack of A2G radar. Marines still would have been using the N to haul iron, even if the Navy was relegating it back to fleet air defense for the smaller carriers at that point. thats one DLC that seems to need patching bad, with of course the biggest gripe (and why i havent bought it yet) being the lack of slotted stabs. if i had it i would probably find the relevant lines in the J's avionics ini and copy over to the N's. but thats me....... -
somebody tweet him. he can get hat on phone and PC

daddyairplanes replied to macelena's topic in General Discussion
no it doesn't. esp since the rwr upgrade it got was the same as what the J's got. the longer DECM fairings on the intakes are for the same gear, just needed to be longer to reach the electrical connections on the B. sounds like ini edit time to me -
Who is working on a F-100F
daddyairplanes replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
gaaaaa!!!!! suspense is killing me as i said in the screenshot thread when a YAP bird was posted, it would be most useful for Misty Fac and Wild Weasel 1. -
this is a bad time for getting in even if all is perfect, with the draw down currently in place. a few years ago probably could've gotten a waiver easy but now recruiting stations are putting the not hiring sign out, figurativly speaking.
