  1. Good show I say! Nice bit of work.
  2. Yes, much of Fargo was filmed in Minnesota. Some scenes were shot in one of my favorite restraunts.
  3. I say follow your heart. It's on you as a man to make your choices and not to later hold it against your folks that you did not do what you wanted to do. If it all turns out to not be for the best well it's on you, for better or worse. Don't live a life of regretting what you you could have done and wanted to do but didn't. You may come to resent your good folks for holding you back. Once you are married and have kids these things only gets harder. I pray the Lord bless you in your decision. Best wishes.
  4. JM, you had to go and spoil it for him.
  5. Have a great time Siggi!
  6. My mother's people go back to Kent England. Mary Chilton wa a young lady aboard the Mayflower and my mother's side is desended from her. Maternal family names include Chilton, Newton, Chrysler and Farrar, others too perhaps. Me father always claimed the Handy family came from Scotland. I find no proof of this and instead find Handy's are from England as well. Funny since dad put down ma for her being a brit. Dear ol' dad was german on his mothers side I'm not sure of the name. He claimed we were related to Der Kaiser. Another funny point too as Der Kaiser was a member of the British Royal Family.
  7. I hope you like turnips mit kraut.
  8. We are already provided with just such a place to post and here it is http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=46 Many and continueing thanks to Combat Ace for all they do for us OFFer's. If we can keep our civil comments about other sims there it should please everyone. First Eagle members post there and we can enjoy input from thier point of view as well. Cheers!
  9. I get the impression that in the United States that Minnesota has the greatest number of OFFers.
  10. Very strange doings there BigJim. Makes me wonder if you are patched up to the latest version 1.30c I think it is and then the new mini patch.
  11. It is installed to the default C drive. I am running Vista 32. No problem installing FB. I did a reinstall of FB but still no joy for AEP.
  12. More fun stuff. It's new to me. I will be spending lots of time at Youtube watching these nuts. I do now "get" so many of the jokes and sayings that have been used in this forum.
  13. Good for you CJ. I quess that's progress. I think the cloud turbulence fix is more exciting tho.
  14. Right on the mark old man! Most excellent work on your part. May it bare fruit.
  15. Hey that's great! What fun. More please.
  16. This sounds really interesting to me. There you go again with interesting and useful things for our simming, thanks Homeboy. I will investigate.
  17. Hi gents. Well as anyone from the OFF forums could tell you I am a knucklehead with a moron chip malfunction. My current problem is that I have installed Forgotten Battles and that works but when I try to install the AEP disc I get the message that it cannot find the FB program, it's right there on the C drive. Can anyone tell me what I need to do? If I get AEP installed I then intend to install Pacific Fighters. Then, I understand, I should download and install the "combined" patch. Would this be the correct route to take? I know I should get IL2 1946 but I don't yet have it and these fell into my lap. I am new to IL2 and would appreciate any advice. My pc and gear are all good to go it's just that I am not the brightest idiot light on the dashboard.
  18. Frankly I get frickin' pissed off more times than I care to tell. When reading posts and reviews in other forums and webpages. There are so many misinformed statements and comments or outright lies about OFF being a lesser product or experience. I even read it was "arcade". Can you imagine that of all things? There are few enough of us that care for this genre. I wish everyone could at least give it a try. It is sad really to read of other peoples comments in other forums regarding their search for that special WWI sim, they are describing OFF BH&H, they just don't know it.
  19. I find the funniest stuff is based on real life. This piece was spot on. Almost too funny if you catch my meaning.
  20. I have a few Enemy Ace comics and a very nice hardcover of Aces High vol. 1-5. All good and fun stuff. I'ld like to find more.
  21. It does seem we are the privledged few.
  22. I do think we as a group have recently come to a better regard for taboo subjects. I for one am generally proud of our behaviour in this forum. We are human though and need a little forgiveness from time to time. I have visited some other forums and have seen how truely negative things can turn. It is hard for any forum to meet the needs of all members and sometimes it helps to discriminate (ignore) posts by those whom you generally have an issue with. All flyers in OFF and any WWI enthusiats are valued here I find and I do hope that anyone that feels alienated will at least from time to time chime in, say hello or whatnot or whathaveyou. You're all Aces in my book, and I do have a book.
  23. He's just too excited as am I! Later.
  24. Nevada, Area 51, Groom Lake could be interesting. Remember Boston has the USS Constitution.
  25. That's a good thought CJ, thanks.
