  1. Just had to send a copy of your post to a friend who is from New Iberia and attended the games as you did. He said you must have been sitting right next to him as you described it perfectly. He mentioned it would take him two days to get the rust color out of his hair. Not sure if that is from beer being spilled on him or from the rust coming down from the nuts and bolts that would fall and then create the dust of rust falling. That sure was a wild place
  2. I may have the smallest monitor around, at a 17" but I swear I am getting a new 22" (as big as my desktop might allow) when I return. The prices are extremely low now. I've seen that size with free shipping for $139 US dollars.
  3. Lou, I don't know if I should complain or smile. I am in south Texas now and though the weather is nice (but not always what one would think) I can only fly a barely respectable campaign on my laptop. (That is because of graphics and frame rates being on the very low end) So, though I may have warmer temps and no snow, my main machine that gives me a thrill when in BHand H, sits back in MN in the cold, just waiting for the warm touch of my fingers on the joystick. So, I mostly live my adventures through the posts of all you brave airman out there. Go Get 'em
  4. Let's get back to flying, eh fellas?
  5. I am very happy that the Saints won, being loyal to the NFC all the way. But no way in hell froze over. Only the Minnesota Viqueens have the ability to do that if they would ever win it. After losing 4 Superbowls and 2 NFC champions that never got us to the 5th and 6th Superbowls, I am definitely happy for the Saints fans. ANd some say, "Well at least your team got to the Superbowl" or something to that affect. That is BS. when you have been embarrassed as bad as the Vikings have. In the end, the best team won. If Favre was only 26 years old again!
  6. I guess us "Yanks" best watch out what we say or we may be in trouble.
  7. As you fellows know, Lt Christian Rasmussen has been in captivity for slightly less than two weeks. He is planning his escape as he recovers from his wounds. They are slight and he already has found some utensils to cut through the flimsy fense that surrounds his compound. The food is great and nourishes his body so he can return to his fellow mates. This is really tough, not being able to particpate in Krauts vs. Crumpets, but I am getting a little time in practicing. All the well I wait and get serious again once I return to my main computer. Good luck all of you.
  8. I checked this out today, Siggi and it is a very nice addition. Someday, I may add to that, hopefully
  9. My favorite colour. A real beauty. Nice work
  10. I like beer. It makes me a jolly good fellow. I like beer. It helps me unwind and sometimes makes me feel mellow. Whiskeys too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear... la - la- la- I like Beer
  11. I downloaded the demo last week and my computer can't handle it. Maybe some day. The graphics are amaing and Hellshade, your You tube video is great
  12. I am not sure where in the USA, this is but I think it was in the very north of Michigan along the lake. Or it could have bene in the Buffalo, New York area. They've really been hammered as of late.
  13. Have to mention that one year in the part of Minnesota where I live, we had 42" (inches) of ice. It was reported that along the Canadian border lakes there was 60"!
  14. Safe travels Herr Olham. For me , I may have to go about "two" as in 2 MONTHS!. Will be traveling to warmer climates and will have the laptop along and already tried it. I can "fly" but the graphics are very poor. Most often no trees at all, some buildings. I do get the sense I am in the air but that is about it. So, if it is so poor I will only be able to watch and read the reports which are so very good. Not leaving until Jan 15 so am trying to get my "ace" status so I can get a little time in scouts in Did before my departure.
  15. And a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Simon, and EVERYONE
  16. Thanks again Olham. I must try them all again now that we have Hat in the ring.
  17. The Fokker DVIIF is a powerhouse!! I am starting a new campaign with this one. What a treat to fly. Thanks Beanie. Its a nice skin
  18. This one just wouldn't go down for a long time. Chased him around for nearly 10 minutes and wouldn't doubt I put 200+ rounds into him.
  19. Sad part is I don't ever see bullet holes and I am on low resolution. Last time I may have seen them was before the super patch. I have wing damage and etc when colliding..but no bullet holes. I've watched the discussion of this in the past and can't seem to find that I am doing anything different
  20. You are right SV Krumm, the wind is a great feature. I am very happy with it. The trees and Check Out the Mountains
  21. They are subject matter that remain permanent generally. Look at the top posts on your main page of gerneral duscussion. Those marked "Sticky" remain at the top, as far as I know
  22. It took my account about 20-24 hours to get activated and then I cast my ballots.
  23. There is something I can't pinpoint or describe, but with the Hat In the Ring add on, I have a better vision of whats going on around me with regard to my Track IR 4 device. Or perhpas it is the graphics. Tell you what, go take a look to the very southern squads in the mountains and valleys. You will see major improvements in the trees and valleys. And I just flew the N 17 Bis with the two guns. That is a killing machine and thanks to Hector, it is found in RNAS 6. A new campaign for me as long as Krauts vs. Crumpets can't be flying.
  24. Thanks. I kept looking for it in the French area. Much appreciated.
