I also vaguely remember a movie about a Polish Spitfire squadron called ‘deep blue’ or ‘into the blue’ or something along those lines that had some good ait-to-air in it. If we are going to include space combat then the 2004 BattleStar Galactica series has to be up there to! lol -
That's my point Dave, she can do the job so she doesn't need an easier physical standard than a male so why have two standards? I'm only speakeing from my own experience in admitadly a non military service but neither-the-less one that relies on physical and mental performance under extream conditions. I personly don't care about gender as long as whoever it is can do their job correctly to the required level. I think there is a minimum standard required for certain jobs or roles and that should be the standard for all regardless of gender. I also think with one standard for all those that would try and argue a female can't physically do a job or role lose that argument. And at the same time we have the right kind of people doing these jobs regardless of their gender.
-
I agree with the above two statements. However the physical and academic standards need to be the same for both genders. That is simply so what ever gender the individual happens to be they are able to do the job to the same standard as every other individual. I have not served in the military but I am a Career Firefighter in a disciplined service. What it brakes down to is when the shit hits the fan you need to know that the person next to you can hold their own and if things really turn to shit they can bail your ass out to lol. The biggest argument against women in the services I believe stems from having scaled standards based on gender. This gives rise to the argument that they aren't strong/ good enough to do the job on their own merits and shouldn't be there. In some cases this is ture. There have been times at work when the Firefighter next to me is a 60kg/ 130Ib female Barbie doll that doesn't stand a hope of dragging me out if I go down. On the other hand I've worked alongside female Firefighters who are competing bodybuilders and could bench press me with one hand! My point is some females are more than capable mentally and physically but they should have to meet the same standards as their male counterparts, which should be the standards required to do the job. If they can met the standards, do the job and perform under pressure then they have every right to be there.

In terms of a book series nothing can beat the Jack Ryan story line! The tactical shooter games in his name deserve a mention to. I must have spent hours and hours as a kid playing the original Rainbow 6 on the original Playstation 1! Had to go halves with my brother to buy the game. Not to mention the Ghost Recon 1 series on PC. That my first ever go at modding a game so my guys could wear the new US Army ACU camo gear that was starting to show up in news footage lol

Marcel's non-Delta in Down Under

You are missing the AfterburnerNodeName for the F-1C .lod ExhaustEmitterName=DirtyExhaustEmitter ExhaustPosition=0.0,-5.6,-0.035 AfterburnerNodeName=canal_ab <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< AfterburnerEmitterName=M53AB AfterburnerEffectSize=1.0 However you should still have had the afterburner effect showing up even without the AfterburnerNodeName correct. All that should have done is made the 'glow' be visible all the time and not just when the engine was in afterburner. So replace the M35 effects in your EFFECTS folder with these ones. As you can see it worked fine for me. effects.zip -

Are the following entries in the data.ini correct and use either stock effects or ones that are in your effects folder? Also check the effect in your effects folder is at SF2 standards and the textures it uses are also present in the effects folder. At the end of WWII the RNZAF was about to re-equip its Pacific F-4U Corsair Squadrons with P-51D Mustangs for the rest of the campaign against Japan. The end of the war meant they never saw RNZAF service until a few years later in New Zealand’s Territorial (Reserve) Air Force. Here is what one may have looked like in RNZAF Pacific service with No.15 Squadron: And another RNZAF WWII Pacific ‘what if:’ What if we received land lease Hellcats instead of Corsairs? -

The New Zealand government had ordered 30 Vickers Wellington Mk1C bombers in 1938. RNZAF aircrew were sent to England to train on the new aircraft. As a result of Britain declaring war against Germany, the New Zealand Government made the airman and the aircraft available to the RAF to help with the new war effort. The aircraft and men become No. 75 (New Zealand) Squadron, the first Commonwealth article XV squadron of the war. No 75 (NZ) Squadron was engaged constantly against Germany from 1940 to VE day, upgrading to Sterling and then Lancaster bombers. The squadron flew more sorties than any other Allied heavy bomber squadron, suffered the second most casualties of all the Allied squadrons, and dropped the second largest weight of bombs of any Allied squadron. In gratitude for the work done and sacrifices made by its New Zealand aircrew, Britain transferred the squadron number, badge and colours to the Royal New Zealand Air Force. The RAF were to never again have a No. 75 Squadron, and it is the only RAF Squadron to be given to a Commonwealth country by Britain. But what if the original Wellington bombers had never been loaned to the RAF and had made the 13,000-mile flight to New Zealand as originally planned? No. 1 (Bomber Reconnaissance) Squadron (Sqn code 'SJ'). Whenuapai Air Station, Auckland, New Zealand 1940 No. 1 (BR) Squadron. Fiji Garrison, South Pacific 1941 No. 1 (BR) Squadron. Henderson Air Field, Guadalcanal 1942 No. 1 (BR) Squadron. Bougainville 1944 And what really was: No. 75 (NZ) Squadron (Sqn code 'AA') Royal Air Force.

Thanks mate, a lot of reference drawings and models do it that way but as you can see in this photo from a book I have the forward band stops before just before the wing root. The wing bands either end where I have done them or they end at the front of the landing gear fairing which will also be painted white. -

As the years fly by 2020 is becoming too early an ‘end year’ for my main SF2 mods folder. So I’ve been busy creating a 2020 to 2050 stand alone install with just the aircraft and ground units that will serve past 2020. That’s where my F-35A/B international skin pack came from...
