  1. SF2 Harrier GR.3 (82) Falklands War Modified View File SF2 Harrier GR.3 (82) Falklands War Modified 1.1 This is a modification of the Stock Third Wire Harrier GR.3 that represents the urgent modifications undertaken to the Harrier GR.3 aircraft that operated in the Falklands War/ Operation Corporate. Modifications made: - The Starboard gun pod has been replaced with the 'Blue Eric' ECM system. The Blue Eric consisted of the Tornado Sky Shadow ECM pod components in a Harrier gun pod. - Correct RAF pilot model/skin. - ALE-40 Chaff and Flare dispensers behind the Airbrake. - Capability to carry the CPU-123/B laser guided bomb with the loadout.ini file updated to reflect this. - Repainted green external fuel tanks. - Updated skins including an Operation Corporate/Falklands war skin from Kesselbrut's SF2 Falklands Mod. Requirements: SF2 Europe for the Stock Harrier GR.3 however it has only been tested in a full merged install of all SF2 titles. Instillation: Simply unpack the file then copy and past into your mods folder and allow it to over-ride if required. Enjoy, Dan. Submitter dtmdragon Submitted 05/26/2012 Category Harrier

  5. Like I said before great work guys, however I noticed there was a difference in some of the data on radar performance in the avionics.ini file and in the data.ini file. F-16AM_net_AVIONICS.INI: RangeSetting[1]=10 RangeSetting[2]=20 RangeSetting[3]=40 RangeSetting[4]=80 RangeSetting[5]=160 RadarPosition= MaxElevationAngle=60 MinElevationAngle=-60 MaxAzimuthAngle=60 MinAltitude=40.0 BoresightElevation=-5.0 BoresightAzimuth=0.0 MinReturn=0.04 MinimumSpeed=25.41 SearchRange=75 SearchStrength=90 TrackRange=53 TrackStrength=90 F-16AM_net_Data.INI: RadarAzimuthLimit=60 RadarElevationLimit=58 RadarSearchTime=1.0 RadarSearchRange=56 RadarSearchStrength=80 RadarTrackTime=2.0 RadarTrackRange=39 RadarTrackStrength=80 Also I was wondering what source you used for those figures as when I did my RNZAF what if Viper anthology I found completely different information regarding post MLU radar performance: RangeSetting[1]=10 RangeSetting[2]=20 RangeSetting[3]=40 RangeSetting[4]=80 RangeSetting[5]=100 RadarPosition= MaxElevationAngle=60 MinElevationAngle=-60 MaxAzimuthAngle=60 MinAltitude=40.0 BoresightElevation=-5.0 BoresightAzimuth=0.0 MinReturn=0.04 MinimumSpeed=25.41 SearchRange=100 SearchStrength=110 TrackRange=100 TrackStrength=100 I'm not saying mine is right or anything, I'm just curious about what info you guys found and used etc.

  12. Factual: The Royal New Zealand Air Force not only looked at the A-7 Corsair II in the early 1970's instead of the Skyhawk but again in the late 80's. When the RNZAF decided to upgrade it's Skyhawk fleet with the Kahu project at the end of the 80's it had identified the F-16C as it's ideal option. However upgrading the Skyhawks gave the RNZAF the same capability in the close air support/ maritime strike role for a fraction of the price which is what it chose to do. However at one stage a modernised fleet of ex US A-7 Corsair II aircraft were seriously considered. So here is my take on what that modernised aircraft would have looked like using rebuilt ex US Navy A-7E airframes. A-7(E)M (Modernised) Corsair II: The modernisation has included; AN/APG-68(V)1 radar, AN/ALR-69 Radar Warning Receiver, updated glass cockpit with MFD's and wide angle HUD, Stencil SJU-8 Ejection seat, AN/ALQ-126B and AN/ALQ-167 ECM jammers, SATCOM antenna, UHF antenna, armament upgrades including the capability to use the AIM-9L, AGM-65B/G, AGM-84 Harpoon and GBU-16 Laser Guided Bomb. RNZAF No. 75 Squadron late 1980's/ early 90's RNZAF No. 75/ No. 2 Composite Squadron 1998+

  15. I just re-downloaded the super fox pack and installed it in a clean mods folder and it worked fine. So I don't know what you are doing wrong, all I can say is make sure you follow the installation instructions in the readme and override any files if you are prompted. The nations.ini file should be sitting in the 'flight' folder inside your mods folder.
  16. Working Darwin and Operation Hydra Cuba 'types.ini' files (ships removed). Please post any others you guys have fixed if you don't mind. Cheers, Dan Darwin&OperationHydra.7z
  17. Check out this modelling thread on Soviets & Warsaw Pact Adversary schemes, might make for some interesting SF2 re-paints. http://s362974870.on...howtopic=247922
  18. LMAO! As wrench alluded to he has done one as part of his A-16A mod which uses the TW F-16 model. I believe Dave's F-16C pack also contains a A-16C which has the EURO1 scheme for the TMF model and if all else fails there is one in the SF1 F-16 skins downloads section. I fell your pain trying to find it though, as I spent half an hour trying to find the three TMF F-4K/M for SF2 downloads, I knew they were there but no matter what I plugged into the search engine I couldn't find them!
  19. I used the following link as the basis for a lot of the info on the Super Fox/Mongoose modifications: http://a4skyhawk.org/2c/mongoose-superfox.htm however most pics on the net of a Top Gun A-4F on the ground seem to show them with their slats dropped, so I think I will do a second year specific aircraft to represent the post 1977 aircraft if your reference material is solid on that date?
  20. What year were the slats unbolted? If they weren’t unbolted for more than half the operational life of the Top Gun A-4s I won't change them or I could possibly have two year specific aircraft.
  21. I'm not getting any more lock ups with Taiwan and the new taiwan_types file so hopefully that’s the issue, unfortunately that means a bit of work changing all the TYPES files.
  22. Wrench, As far as ships go I only have the stock ships and the ships that have been updated to SF2NA standards in my install and I still get the lock up at 80% I went through my install and deleted all the 3rd party ships when I updated to SF2NA so unless I missed one it cant be any of the old ships causing the problem.
