Cool. Thank you for the information. I'd imagine tail draggers would be hard. I recall using the Chuck Yeager flight simulator back in the day. I could take off in most aircraft, expect the P-51 Mustang. I kept stalling after take off. It was the biggest pain in the neck for me to fly.

For years I've been wanting to get the hang of a complex sim like DCS A-10c and finally I'm getting to where I'm memorizing the startup sequence, and getting decent with the flight controls. If you remember several months ago I mentioned how MigBuster's contest hooked me into the world of DCS simulation. My experience was disastrous as it was comical. This time there is more success, while not perfect I was finally awarded with hearing the Hog's gun make short work of practice targets. I'll be getting into the weapons training segment later on today. But getting most of my systems in order is something I've been wanting to do for a while. There are some other DCS modules that I'm interested in trying and that has me asking: Compared to the A-10c are these other modules more complex, easier, or on the same level of difficulty?

This is obviously a dated video ... but I'm wondering how accurate this is. Can anyone confirm?

You said some of those monuments are coming back. So haw as the past impacted modern day Germany from your perspective? How have people moved on from those dare I say dark days of your country?

I think the problem is arrogance and ignorance. People too arrogant to educate themselves on the ideologies behind the symbols they see which leads to their ignorance thus allowing them to become the very the things they hate. Just with a different flag and slogans. Which if people want to get real nasty and technical about things... let me shut up.

Are you enjoying the new site update? Hell yes!! There are so many cool features that I'm coming across that I'm loving! And the download section... just beautiful. I mean highly rated and most downloaded files are a great way to help members, especially newcomers find out what and where some of the good mods are. The new features on the forum side of things are pretty neat as well. For instance I just selected your list of questions and the option to just quote one or two lines out the whole selection. That's pretty neat. Are you finding anything that isn't working? Nothing major yet! Honestly things that I am finding (which are minor) are simply added to the "He hasn't gotten to this yet but will when he gets a chance" pile. Okay that's a long name but seriously with so much going on I really think that most things that aren't working are simply because they're still being worked on. Are you finding the things you need, where it's located, and how to use it? Yes I am. Things are going smoothly so far. Anything you'd like to see changed? Right now I have no suggestions. Your input is very valuable to me. Well you're kicking ass and taking names and your efforts keeping this site going are very valuable to all of us! Thank you. You're welcome. CNN reported that people in a particular town who wished to stay behind should write their names and SSNs on their arms for easy identification later on. I'm in the next state over and waiting for all that rain to come our way. I think all my people are safe and I'm happy for the survivors and my heart goes to out to everyone.

Edit. I wrote a very passionate statement but will hold back my words... someone might get offended and I don't need to deal with that right now. But I'm glad this conversation is happening and I look forward to seeing more people weighing in on this matter. I will say this. It's not the symbol but the ideology which is the problem. People can call their groups whatever they like but since their ideals and methods are the same as the rest, then they're no different.

So I saw a couple of videos of F-22s starting up. They sound weird but they're quick with it.

Man I remember being at a Thunderbird Show, during the part they were introducing the pilots, there was a guy from my state (number 5 I think). All of us went nuts, more so because he's from our state than anything else, and it's a rarity for things like that to happen. I think the crowd was just as loud as the F-16s! When hearing the almost defining roar of excited spectators, the announcer was really feeling the moment. You could hear it in his voice that he was really pumped as he introduced the last pilot. Golf course applause.

Actually there's a thread around here somewhere that it was mentioned how TK didn't mind us using the source code as long as we didn't put it in payware. I could be mistaken though.
