  1. Heck yeah :D
  2. when it comes right down to it, we're comparing rocks to stones here. Any Athlon64 processor you buy will kick butt. period. Either socket type will make a great upgrade. As of right now, neither board supports DDR2 Ram, or PCIE. So the real question is not so much which one will give the best performace, but rather, do you want to spend the extra money now for a few more years use out of the motherboard, thus making it better in the long run. If you say yes, get a socket 939. If you say no, get socket 754.
  3. Ahh, good time to ask, I just did a lot of research on this. Fates is right, If you want to upgrade, go for the Socket 939. MSI K8T Neo2 Platinum ($154 from newegg.com) is probably the best MB out there for this socket. The 3500+ you can get for $427. With those two, you'll probably be set for at least 2 or 3 years. I can get you more info if you want.
  4. Hey Foo, I don't know about the other guys, but I'm glad you are at least a little vocal about your views. Personally, Bush annoys me, but I like Kerry and his views even less. When you post, to me, its a welcome different view. Sometimes all the Bush praising can get old :D
  5. I saw ABC, it was pretty funny their attempts to discredit the guy :D
  6. Ahh, man, you people are going to send me into debt when I'm pushed over the edge and buy a kick ass system... But not that I'll be complaining :D

    Ah YES!

I'll drink to that! hehe College football is truly in the air! The DII Powerhouse UND (University of North Dakota, where I am now at), currently #2, defeated #10 Delta State, and is well on their way to another national championship! K-State starts up next week playing Western Kentucky... Western who? oh yeah, gotta wait till October before they play a recognizable team. Oh well, time for some butt stomping!
  9. Can't play it :(
  10. hah, you shouldn't have told us there was a screen there... acrobat kitty! lol Man, that's funny. Look at all the hair standing up on that cat! By the way NC, how's Cheif doing after his mishap?
  11. that LOMAC one is kinda cool, but I would prefer the clock decal. maybe you could put both up?
  12. What are you reading this for??? Go have fun with your wife!!! Have a good one MJ!
  13. Ok, I tried with the firewalls on/off, no difference. Like I said, I don't think its the firewalls, or anything in the security center, but something else.
  14. True, neither do I. And I'm not saying that it's the firewall creating such a drop, but something else in SP2, more likely. I called MS support, they said that they need more information about the network before they can do anything, and I have yet to hear from the IT guys here. I'll run those tests when the testing site gets back online
  15. Washington Journal... heheh.... :D
  16. Alright, I'll do that. It's just I've got an addon for messenger, I didn't want to have to reinstall and reconfigure that too.
  17. I dunno about that, but I'll check with another guy on on the same network who hasn't installed SP2 yet, see what he gets. EDIT: Well, we just tried it with the computer in the next room, that guy is getting 5.5+ Mb/sec while I'm getting 40-100 kb/sec on the same test. Before I installed SP2, I was getting the same results as him.
  18. Seen it before, but its still a good read.
  19. And yet another thing... Windows is now trying to install stuff without asking me, ie MSN Messenger 6.2 and WMP 9. I have automatic updates turned off, and I already have WMP 9. what the heck?
  20. ACK!!! ok, I'm not so worrried about my firewall now. Before I installed SP2, my connection was running at 5+ Mb/sec. Now it's struggling to get 100 Kb/sec. wtf???
  21. I've got another question... I just downloaded and installed SP2. It seem that the Windows firewall is turned off everytime I boot up my system, because ZoneAlarm is running. If I go into the menu, I can turn it on, but I'd rather it be that way at startup, then having to keep putting starting it up. Or is having two firewalls necessary?
  22. haha! Man, that would've sucked being that pilot though...
  23. I think you guys are thinking too much about the fanatics of christianity. The vast majority of christians, 99.9% of em aren't like that. Every christian that I've met pretty much agrees with me that God touches people in different ways, and they all respect that. We are not pushy, we let God work in your life, and offer any help and fellowship that we can.

    mickey $oft

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
  25. Well, you might do that finiteless, but you do touch on a good point. Not all "christians" are good. However, the vast majority of American christians, bible belt or not, are great people. Nick, I can garuntee (I know its spelled wrong :P) you that a bad childhood and a lack of self esteem is NOT the reason Christianity is so stong in America. It's hard to explain and understand, unless you are in fact religious. People are religious because God has touched them in some way. It comes in different forms-- someone may have grown up in a religious family, and it just develops as they grow. Sometimes a devout aethiest can turn faithful by just one act. Everyone has their own reasons and their own was to express their religious beleifs. Its the same anywhere in the world, every is just different.
