  6. No, I think increasing player's flight wingmen's experience a bit would be better... now after less than two minutes combat, there's mostly me and two, three more P-51D agains most of enemies

  8. This setup is HARD... first few runs were my P-51D vs Spit (configuration I last time tried in Forgotten Battles for Il2) familiarization. The highest so far were 4 kills on hard, last one by sole working 50.cal (those jam quickly!). Then two on my tail got me. I had 6.6% bullets hit ratio on that attempt. Guyran, I really like your idea
  9. Don't know about others, but after installing SF2 Expansion Pack, that comes with it's own exe, when I ran it 1st time using that exe, I had no 3rd party mods and terrains activated. I had to move those from SF2 Israel's mods folder into addon's mod folder for them to show up.

  11. Sony I have 8800GT with 512mb ram and I can run on mixed high/unlimited with 1024x1024 tiles just fine, the resolution is lower -1280x1024, as my 4:5 LCD won't run any higher. Remember 9800GT is basically re-labelled 8800GT, so it must be your higher screen resolution eating VRam resources then
  12. Kevin, when you have merged install, they go to the last installed one's mods folder -ie, if you have merged SF2+SF2V+SF2E -dump the addons to SF2E mods folder and you shall have no problems
  13. There are freely available 3D planes in max scene or 3ds format on the net, try Turbosquid-dot-com or 3Dcafe-dot-com for starters

  18. I allways thought the default tracers are kind laser-like, very Janes' WW2 Fighters like. This small modification I did for FE2 some time ago but never posted, reduces the size and dimensions of tracers by simple tga replacement: of course the downside is, they are less visible in the distance, but maybe someone will like to try them: the 3 tga files go to your mods\objects\ folder
  19. Hi jspec01, I wasn't too specific in readme, your patch should be: C:\Users\Johnny\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Israel\terrains\ without the MODS folder -by writing mods I meant "C:\Users\user name\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Israel\terrains\"

  22. doint it by exporting tiles to bitmap and manually painting pixel-size the lowest height as per colour index should do just fine or maybe I'm thinking the easy way

  24. Kevin, why do you want to create citylist, may I ask? No need for it at all. After building texturelist.ini (based on terrain's IsraelME_data.ini textures hierarchy) you can output the tiles and heightmap to bmps (we all know that) and alter them in paint program, that's how I used to do for Gibraltar map, or do the manual retiling in TE; no city list needed in my opinion... but you are the terrains guru, so...
  25. Sony, I have no problem running addon campaign at all, so far several missions in two squadrons, no problems during mission loading? Have you tried the lower resolution, 512x512 tileset USAFMTL posted? http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=10918 there are also updated inis I posted in this thread and in files support topic, that fix wrong texture references in data ini
