Is WoE easier then LOMAC?
sparkomatic replied to Alexrey's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
yes...want to know how? send a private message to me... -
ah...not saying it doesnt happen, brother, just that when I feel like getting dirty and doing a CAS mission I ALWAYS switch to "Y", then "F8", then wait for it and with Snoopy highlighted (eh, high-lit?), I watch...every time he says the same thing...sometimes he even rolls toward the general vicinity of the battle, but then nothing... Now I think I read a post that says it worked in YAP, which I do not have. Maybe they just dont like me...would not be the first time, but then do I really need him with all of that dust and smoke kicked up by an armour confrontation? Oh, and the "E" key helps as well. Just angry that the bugger is getting combat pay and that is probably where all of my SFP1 and WOV and WOE medals went, to Snoopy...b@st@rd...

And I know it has been posted before, so apologies in advance for not finding the information on my own... That being said...so I know how to get the frame rates to show up at the top of the screen in WOE and I know there is a way to change what information is displayed up there along with the frame rates...I extracted the huddata.ini and did not see it in there...basically I want the G-forces displayed...seems like there once was a litany of information that you could get turned on to display there, like a "de-bug" feature almost Is this still available and if so, how? Again, I know this already been covered and if you feel the need to issue a "look here" posting, go ahead, as long as you give me the information I need...

Hmmm...I agree that is the theory...but I have seen random results...have loaded up with all high time, high skill guys and either they were all shot down, none took a shot, or heck, one of them even went MIA. Tried it the other way with loading a guy that had a skill score of 22...he managed 4 kills on one sortie... Though no doubt 6 of you will argue with me (because that is what you like to do) and tell me it works perfectly...I have seen different results...to me it is the new "medals feature" and will work eventually. By the way, STILL have never seen SNOOPY mark a target yet...

Fub, yeah great point...sorry...snapped into reality for a moment there, I know better...wait...coffee...ah, that's better -
the only photo I have found so far is below, but keep in mind that this was the equivalent of an x-plane...it could have used a very different arrangement in production. But you will either have to build it yourself or someone else, no freakin way am I even going to pretend to build a cockpit. (also, the attached photo may look like the cockpit of a different Sukhoi design, they used parts / systems of other programs to reduce costs, like the F-20 program)

I am confused...did the Sa-5 target you? Hard to believe anyone would have used an Sa-5 against a fighter, their maneuverability is terrible...it is a weapon designed against bombers and used for "stand-off" platforms today like tankers / RJ / AWACS. You can basically look the other way and avoid it, in a fighter. -

"A well run Wiki is very easy to use." I concur, look at "wookiepedia", until (though more likely never) we get a hold of the Holicron, it is very nicely done...no doubt J/M knows more, but we dont all have his dedication. -

Pilot hurt in jet breakup sues Boeing

The area in question would not be in the routine maintenance realm of the crew chief...the question is what the heck is depot doing these days? Those are the guys probably shredding paperwork right now... Have seen a very disturbing trend of late of jets coming out of depot, with write-ups! That NEVER would have happened in the past, now it is happening in more MDS (types). -

a.) "that it would help you" Just because I am shallow and evil doesnt mean that I am always...wait...yes it does...but this time I am interested in it because finding data on projects is very important and all sources are welcome for review. I never claimed to be an expert on any of it. Also, just so everyone knows...that is the Berkoot that was posted here at combat ace...the original work is that of some one else and not me...yes, it is in the game and now considerably closer to being complete...there is NO ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME...besides, it would not be my call to release that to the general public anyway since someone else did the initial work, that person would have to approve it for posting (even though he posted it here for others, it would still be his call in my view). Also, to be clear, I downloaded it from here in order to learn how to get a model into the game and A LOT of people have been extremely patient and more than generous with their time in teaching me. It should therefore be considered a learning project and I do not want anyone to be like "oh, well someone else is working on that so I will do something else"...nope, not at all...if we had 14 dudes (and one dude-ette) working on 15 different Berkoots, then that would be jam on toast to me. So, again, if you want to work on it (or collaborate on this one here) or do your own thing, then please do not let the above screen shot dissuade you in any way. Furthermore, for those that do not know, getting a plane into 3wire games is freakin work...seriously it becomes a part-time job...building the model is only a small percentage (though obviously a critical one)...the details are endless and especially for a complete no-talent like me, none of the programs required are intuitive. And there are so many stages and testing and things that were fine suddenly go wrong because some seemingly unrelated thing that was changed affected something you didnt notice until it gets into the game and after testing 33 sorties it finally rears its poop and sets it on your plate. A fellow that I respect told me "the model is less than 10% of the process". Not knocking the model builders, because that is like the foundation, but getting the animation and the decals and the textures and the FM and the folder and even silly things like which picture to use for the loading screen = time, time, and time. There are so many things involved you WILL NOT understand until you try to do it yourself, period. If someone feels that I hijacked this thread, then delete away...

eh..."wiki-search" inst much better...I usually use google to find what I want in wiki...plus doesnt wiki allow anyone to edit...cant see that being a good plan in the wrong hands... I like the way you are thinking though, for me though wiki has its own issues
