  1. Friend, please note that "fictional" was in quotation marks...sorry if I generated confusion by that choice of punctuation / typing... http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/s37/ It will not see production any more than the X-29 would ever see it. The Russian AF canned the program in favor of the MiG 1.42 (or whatever). Sure, Sukhoi spent some of their own money in it at first...but their resources are devoted elsewhere. Dont get me wrong, it is beyond neat...instant alpha of 120 degrees..."cobra"-this... Eh...by 'Cobra' I am referring to the famous maneuver, not the nemesis of G.I Joe
  2. yes...and "confrontationally" is not really a word...
  3. yes...well...if they are "bad" or not is not for me to decide, now is it?
  4. Have to agree that the search function has left me angry on more than one occasion...it either gives not much or too much of the wrong thing...heck, once or twice I even copied the title from the file in the download section, pasted it into the search window and it did NOT find the file...and yes I checked that already... As an example, went to search files, typed in "F-15" and received 81 pages of hits, this was page 3...
  5. Moderator-dudes, thank you for splitting the thread like this! It makes it much more palatable
  6. Which game were you playing? WOI has better AI than the others, until they get patched up to its standard. Man, back in the SFP1 patch 2 days the AI (your wingmen and the bad guys) were scary good. So why dont I still use patch 2? Easy, too many other improvements that would be left out...besides I like killing.
  7. Hartmann, unquestionably a legend, said for a proper guns kill you need your target to fill up your windscreen...works every time...he means get close...no, closer...if you can count rivets, burp the gun.
  8. congratulations! man...what is the world going to do with another you? hopefully the new addition will favor the mother...
  9. wait a minute..."jungles of australia"...where are those?
  10. you can get all of them from the thirdwire website...just download it...saves from throwing away the box as well...
  11. you can also use imageshack or photobucket and once the image is uploaded with them (follow their steps) then a link will be provided that you simply copy, then paste into the post that you are writing where you want it...just a thought
  12. F.C...I am bringing to light the question that in the modern battlefield uniforms are becoming as antique as muskets...period. ..of course I am not saying we should abandon uniforms ourselves...then I would have to decide what to wear. A simple, "yes, I realize that the world is changing but the intent of the thread remains the same" would have sufficed.
  13. FC...uh...have you been in the AOR lately? We arent fighting the Russians any more (technically, we never did, or did we...) and the current crop of American haters do not dress out or buy their kit from military clothing sales...
  14. the one that shoots you down...fitting...
  15. what about how Robin's hair doesnt move...at all...or how the helicopter flew better by itself than when Robin dipped B-man into the shark's mouth in the first place...clearly someone was tired of being #2 at that stage and does this count as "jumping the shark" like in Happy Days?
  16. you can also scavenge parts off eBae as well...found one in not bad shape for a dollar, plus six for a box / stamp. the Talon is the way to go if you want something that looks the part, but honestly if you want functional / durable without selling narcotics to fund it, then may I recommend the Saitek...sure they look like Buck Rodgers, but have had one for many years now and so far, so good. of course USAFMTL is rather partial to CH Products and they are mighty fine, it gets to be personal I know not what you asked, but honestly am wondering where you managed to find two complete rigs to be concerned about comparing...and if they have an extra Talon and split throttle rig, let me know!
  17. to be honest, I had no idea it was called that...
  18. "chasing needles" was a phrase one of my Instructors used as in "well since you had your bucket in your lap chasing needles I wont bother to ask if you noticed that you are actually in an airplane" and this was, for the record, the same fellow that threw his back out beating me with his knee board for "Top Gun"-ing the throttle on my first Approach Turn Stall...turns out airplane powerplants do not like it when you slap the power lever forward like in the movies...kind of makes a "whomp" noise...and then none of that pressure in the seat that you expected, more like leaning forward in the straps...then you know something went wrong-er...
  19. you will appreciate it...sorry the real deal is no longer available
