  1. Thanks man, I will take it. Look out for PM.
  2. Yes I can - and no it isn't - strange right? Can anyone confirm that this is some kind of CWAZY Win7 issue?
  3. Good point. I can only go by my experience and I have no issues. I'm a better gunner than flyer. A regular Richtofen I tell ya'! I had no idea as I was never a Came jockey. I have no issues shooting them down tho'.
  4. Welcome Bruce. I third (or 4th) the recommendation to get TrackIR - you will never have to worry about losing SA again (well, almost never ) Might I sugggest the DrI as an easy plane to fly? It may not be an obvious choice as it is often classed w/ the Camel - and maneuverability wise it is about equal - but it is pretty easy to fly and climbes like a banshee. It is slow tho'.
  5. Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner!
  6. This issue has been w/ me since I installed on my new W7 box about 4 months ago. I have no Zoom In Key – or entry on the Key Mapping XML file. This is very strange since I had it when I played on my last PC w/ XP. I am now running W7 64bit. I want it now as Hellshade’s vids have shown me that adjusting views in and out can be a real aid to gunnery. Anyone else get this issue? Solutions? Can anyone volunteer to send me a clean XML key file – or tell me where to find it on the disc? Thanks.
  7. Update. Deleted .Net 4.0 – OFF worked fine. :) Then d/l’d the full .Net 4.0 package from the M$ site and installed – OFF worked fine. :) So…must have been a corrupted install from the Windows auto update procedure.
  8. Oh, I missed that P2 reference. Looks like it could be apples and oranges then. Oh well, gonna try a few things.
  9. Exactly, I'm convinced that the producer/consultant conversation goes something like this; Consultant = "These planes are too fast, their speed needs to be cut in half to better reflect the true characteristics of aircraft flown during this period." Producer = "GREAT suggestion, we'll get right on that, and here is a check for your services, thanks for coming in!" Consultant = "Gee thanks, it was great working with your team." [walks to exit] Producer [to Director] = "Don't change a damn thing, the faster they are the cooler they are and the audience won't care anyway. Oh, and punch up that love story, too much war stuff is a real downer!"
  10. Tell me more Jackstraw as I am having the same initialization issue w/ OFF (and other games that require disk in the drive). And Windows 7 just updated before this began happening. How did you uninstall? And do you need .NET framework for anything?
  11. Nice campaign video Hellshade. You were captured, yes?
  12. I have the album on CD from about 15 years ago. Sounds awesome to me. Don't know why they need to mess w/ the original mix as that is what the Stones and the producer wanted at the time.
  13. Please just go away.

  14. Those graphs are quite an eye opener.
  15. Ding, ding, ding - we have new - and VERY welcome - info.
  16. I'll play: TrackIR 4 Pro w/clip. Software 5.0b CPU: AMD PhenomII X4 965 Black Edition Quad-Core CPU (3.4Ghz) RAM : 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Video: ATI Radeon 5670 1GB DDR5 Monitor: SAMSUNG 2243BWT-TAA-1 22" Widescreen LCD HD: 500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD PS: 600 Watts Power Supply OS: Windows 7 x64 Home edition OFF BH&H, HitR patched to 1.47 Tearing occurs only when using TrackIR to look left or right very quickly usually. Pretty minor tho' and definitly not a game breaker.
  17. All sorted now. As I deduced, it was a case of either dust on the CD disc or the DVD player not reading the disc for some strange reason. So: - Cleaned the disc - Put it back in the player - Went to explore to view the contents to make sure the player was reading the disc OK - Fired up OFF and problem solved ...to be safe I still have the DVD version on order for P4 and I have that other thing in case my disc goes south.
  18. TY - and yes I do not d/l anything from the net that I do not fully trust and I use PC Doctor AV which is very good. So...I still have some things to try and we will see what happens here.
  19. almccoyjr: Can I get a copy of the registry deletions sent to me as well? I suddenly have issues and may need to go the re-install route. Thanks.
  20. Latest update: - Tried other programs (Il-2, ETW) - all work fine - Windows Defender is not part of W7 so that's not it - I replaced the executables w/ back-ups - no joy - Compatility mode made the issue worse - from 50% CPU usage up to 97% Thinking about this - I can navigate OFF Manager just fine. It is only when I access CFS3.EXE that I have issues. And I am using the old two disc CDs. And, when I go into Task Manager to kill these processes and I kill CFS3.EXE I receive an error message about needing the disc in the drive. So...could it be a disc issue - or even a disc drive issue? OK: - I will test out the drive this evening - I will try cleaning the disc - I just ordered the DVD version of CFS3 from Amazon - (saw BirdDogICT's review)-in case I need to go the reinstall route. Can anyone suggest a registry cleaner that works w/ Windows 7 if I need to go that route? Thanks.
  21. That's because they were aiming at that guy. If they were aiming at you then you would not get hit.
