+ace888 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Mirage 2000 Foreign Operator Pack (Updated) View File *** SF2 Mirage 2000 Foreign Operator Pack (Updated) 06/14/2012 Tweaked all the Data.ini/ Loudout.ini and aircraft files. Updated Hangar Screen (Credit goes to "paulopanz"). Updated R-530F 14 June, 2012 Ace888 SF2 Mirage 2000 Foreign Operator Pack This is a FULL merged SF2 Pack... Tested up to Mar2012 Updates. Each Foreign Mirage 2000 Operator is included (Full Fleet of each Air Force). I have done the following: 1. Most of the tweaks on the files 2. All the Mods on the files 3. All the skins on the files (using MF as the base) 4. All the modified weapons on the files 5. 3 separate cockpit glass tint 6. Modified afterburner/effects (tested 4 different one, settle on the one on file) The Air Force included: HAF Qatar ROCAF UAE EAF FAB FAP HAL I want to thank 'Crusader' for trying to tweak the cockpit by YEYEYE, and for approving the use of the .LODs. The cockpit's main Attitude Inidicator is not model appropriately so the standby is the main ADI. I have lock the main ADI to only capable of 'yaw' If you want to use the default MF cockpit, just change the name on the MF's cockpit.ini and avionic.ini to correspond with the aircraft's name on file and copy and past to the main files alone with the MF cockpit folder. Additional Credits: TK/Thirdwire The Combatace community Mirage Factory Crusader Sillone104 YEYEYE If I missed anyone it is not intentional, your work is recognized and credited. +paulopanz Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 A fantastic job! The kind of pack I love. PS: please check nation entries in data.inis, userlist.inis and skins texturesets: they must be the same for a perfect selction and use. Quote

Sorry Dave I purposely deleted the specific weapons for [Air to Air] and [Air to AirLongRange]. I wanted people to use their own set, I should of just leave what I had in there. I think this is why there is no weapons on the AI birds. Quote

tiopilotos Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Excellent work ace888! As a mirage 2000 fan I have to say this is a must pack for SF2 users. Amazing cockpit work and great skins especially the indian green and the peruvian blue! The only thing that bothers me is the X indication and the arrow that points up when flying in low altitude but I think this how real Mirage 2000 HUD looks like. Any ideas on how I can remove the X indication and the arrow that points up? Quote
+ace888 Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 I would just go ahead and add them in your update. As soon as I get back... I will upload the updates Excellent work ace888! Any ideas on how I can remove the X indication and the arrow that points up? Yes, in real life the avionics does have the terrain avoidance system. Go to your cockpit folder and 'delete' the "lalt_cross.tga" Quote
+ace888 Posted June 14, 2012 Author Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) The package has been updated for those who has not made the corrections. I did discover quite a few errors on the Loudout.ini. I had to make correction on the Aircraft.ini and Data.ini as well. I even thought about changing all the skins from .bmp to .jpg? Still not sure if the quality is the same or better with .jpg? Yes, the files would of been smaller for your systems. Perhaps down the road with further updates and future projects I will use the .jpg method... Sorry for doing a poor job. Cheers! +ghostrider883 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) I am sorry to say this, but the Indian Mirage 2000 is in a mess. The ejection seat is missing, the serial numbers in numbers.lst are from the French Mirage . The wings on the 2000H are supposed to have "Keep Off" warning stencils, and not "No Step" warnings. The IAF variant you have named is wrong. There is no such thing called as Mirage 2000C_HAL. HAL(Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) never manufactured Mirage 2000s. The designation for IAF Mirage 2000s is "Mirage 2000H", where "H" stands for Hindustan( India) and not "H" from HAL, and it was nicknamed as "Vajra"(Divine Thunder). +ace888 Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 Just flew it... All looks proper. 1. The ejection seat is the MK-10, I did forget to place it in the pack, (It is in the MF 2000 Pack, and if you had that install it would of show up). 2. The "Keep Off" is the right wording, one of the many items I have miss. 3. 'number.lst' works find, show the Indian serial numbers, no issue for me (all scramble so to have different numbers each time you play). I did not see any French serial at all? 4. I know the proper names for the Indian Mirage 2000. I name it the way I did for my own file purpose. Feel free to change it for your liking... Quote

I did not see any French serial at all? May be I wasn't clear enough. KF-1XX series serials show up fine on the a/c, but...... 4. I know the proper names for the Indian Mirage 2000. I name it the way I did for my own file purpose. Feel free to change it for your liking... One of the reasons this game is so enjoyable is that you get to learn so many things about the aircraft you are flying/ modding. For history and accuracy's sake, I believe it is important to have the aircraft names/designations same as their RL counterparts. Also, Weapon Attachment Type needs to be edited as well. American weapons must no show up/ be selectable for the Indian Mirage. Quote

Yeah and locally some dumb bombs that were converted to LGBs using Israeli guidance kits. These were used successfully during the Kargil War. I was thinking on dedicated weapons pack for the Indo-Pak mod with weapons used only by India and Pakistan, and attachment types on each weapon set to India or Pakistan. Aircraft data.ini set to India or Pakistan. Would that work? like the INAS Harriers carrying SoAfrican Derbys. Israeli Rafael Derbys and Pythons on IN LUSH Harriers . You wouldn't have one of those in the works would ya ? Edited July 18, 2012 by ghostrider883 Quote
