  1. Here is it, in all it spelndor and glory. Prepare to be amazed by the terrain. The campaign is just a small one so you all would have something to play with. It is nothing big as I have bigger plans for this little terrain.
     
    You need:
    AD's Su-17 and A-7B w/Column5 VA-93 skin.
    The AV-8C by Russ with the VMA-231 skin by me.
    The Mig-17 skin from Volks is included.
     
    Just put the campaign in your campaigns folder. The win,lose,stall.txt files go in the main campaign folder of your SF install. Put the terrain in your terrain folder, make a copy of the desert.cat file and rename it to AE.cat.
     
    Put Volks Mig-17 skin in the main Mig-17 folder and add this to the mig-17.ini

  2. Solomon Island Terrain Add-on.
     
    1. Create a folder in your main terrain folder named paw1.
    2. Move the contents of this zip file into that folder.
    3. Copy the desert.cat file from the desert folder to the paw1 folder and rename it paw1.cat.
    4. Unzip the AAA.zip file to your Objects folder.

  3. This update flattens all the airbases and gets rid of the trees in the runways. Please remember this terrain is from FNG2k, Keith and Charles. All I did was update it This will create a Cold War Europe terrain.

  4. This is the terrain of Israel, and its neighbour contries in the borders of 1949 to 1967. it is intended for Campaigns or single missions in the time between Suez Crisis and 6 days war.

  5. Libya Terrain by USAFMTL
     
    Thanks to Diego for starting this and thanks to Deuces for the tiles.
     
    She isnt perfect but she works. Had a TE crash and lost hours of work. Took hours to fix what got messed up and even now it isn't just right. But I didnt want to spend anymore hours on it.
     
    I placed good planning maps and 5 carriers areas. The terrain on Siciliy is very mountainous. So watch your take offs and landings.
     
    Just put in your terrain folder, copy the desert.cat file from the desert terrain folder and rename to Libya. Enjoy.

  7. DRV terrain version 1.5 had two minor bugs. One is a tree which is places middle in the water near the rivermouthes and the second bug is that in Da Nang area some tiles are missing. Version 1.51 corrected the bugs. If you already have DRV version 1.5 you can update it to version 151 with this file.

  8. Modification of USAFMTL's Libya map into a WW2 Theatre. Designed for a SF/WoV EAW intall ONLY!! You'll need many WW2 objects; some are packaged, some are not. READ THE README!

  9. Some work i have invest into BoB terrain. There are now more terrain tiles. A railway network is now visible on the map and during flight. You will find railwaystations in London and some other towns in England. Trains have to come. Perhaps one guru can make such nice moving trains like in EAW. This is far beyond my abilities.
    In BoB terrain v1.1 i have included some objects Polak sent me. This are barrage ballons which you will find on the map to protect the british industry and port facilities. And some famous London buildings. (Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace etc.)
    For London i made tiles for the Regents Park, the Hydepark, and St James Park, so that the area around House of Parliament now looks from air a little bit more like City of London.
    As suggestet i used also the terrain buildings file from EuroWW2 terrain which i modified a little bit, to get some of the red brickstone houses which i saw during a holiday visit in London some years ago.
    Finaly i included the darker Sea and grey town tiles made by Charles.

  10. Israel terrain covers the territory of Israel, the Sinai Penisula, the most part of the Nil Delta, Soth Lebanon, West Syria and West Jordan.
     
     
    Israel terrain v 1.5
     
    I decided to make some new tiles for Israel terrain. An Oasis that Camels have something to drink in the desert, Snow for the Mt Hermon and the highest Mountains of Lebanon and vegetation for the hills in north Israel and the Lebanon.
    I also included the most aditional targetareas which i had made for Suez terrain for instance Radio Kairo, Radio Tel Aviv, Ports of Ashquelon, Ashdod, Netanya, Industy sites at Haifa, Tel Aviv, Gizeh, Helwan, Zifra, El Kubra etc.
    To get the big explosion on destruction of Dimona Nuclear Reactor you need a nuke effect.

  11. Battle of Britain terrain
     
    Version 1.2
     
    This is the update of BoBv1.1 for the new patch of SFP1 (SP051506b) which enables clouds etc.
    Changes:
    - reworked landtiles a little bit to improve the framerate.
    - changed the position of 2 german bomber airfields a little bit, so that they fit to the ground tile.
    -included 1 german radar site
    -made additions to the Groundobjects folder to make flak working for BoB terrain
     
    INSTALLATION:
     
    Unzip all files into your BoB folder and let overwrite the version 1.1 files..
    Then unzip all files of PutintoGroundobject.zip into your Objects/groundobjects folder
    Thats it.

  12. Version 1.0
     
    This is the first release of Deutschland terrain. It is freeware and intended as stop gap filler till "Wings over Europe" will be available outside the USA.
    It is made for SFP1, but can also used for WOV.
     
    *In comparision to beta v 0.75 i included some more ground tiles (Towns at rivers, 3 new tiles) The map is reworked a little bit.
    *The Rhine Valley between Koblenz and Bingen is now flowing more or less into the valley and not more over the hills. It is not perfect, but much better than before. (23 new tiles) It is a funny place for hedgehopping. In a further update i will include the castles for which the Rhine Valley is famous for.
    *The number of target areas is now 248 instead 186 in Betav0.75.
    *New targets are civil ports in the GDR and the FRG, Antenna fields in the GDR. 2 naval bases in the East and one in the West (At this place i want to say thank you Capun and Mike Whl who gave me the permission to use their Osa and Koni ships as static targets)
    *I placed some ponton complexes on the map (Again thank you to Polak, who mad the pontons originally for my Israel terrain)
    *West Germany got a SAM defence
    *additional east german Industry is added
    *some big barrack complexes are placed at the map, including one of the longest buildings in the world Prora which you will find near the big eastern bay at island of Rügen
    *The CoolingTowers of the powerplants now have smoke. (Thanks to Darreck for the CoolingTowers) The smoke is not yet perfect (The exhaust time is to short) But i hope that this problem can be solved.
     
    *I found some bugs, like the Hawk launcher or Shilkas at the runway and solved the problem. Some files for troubleshooting you find in the subfolder "Special" in Deutschland folder
     
     
    With this release of Deutschland terrain this terrain is far away to be complete. Germany is a so heavy populated contry that the number of target areas could be increased to 1000 or 10.000 and you would not have all possible targets.
    I have concentrated my work on the east of Germany, the former GDR. I also invested a lot of time in the northern part of West Germany and the Rhine Valley, the former FRG. Bavaria and Thuringia are nearly untouched. You see, there is still a lot to do.

    Finally i want to say thank you to all who supported Deutschland terrain with files and hints. And of course a big thank you to TK and his team for the development of the SFP1

    This is a minor update to fixe some problems and include a few new features.
    I also included a little Campaign written for Deutschland terrain.

    Campaign Oktoberaufstand 1956/Octoberrevolution 1956
     
    It is a fictional campaign based on the idea, what could had been happen if the revolution in Hungary 1956 would have found a replica in East Germany.
    To fly this campaign you need following additional planes:
    * F-86F
    * F-84F
    * F-84G
    * MiG-15bis
     
    used standard planes are MiG-17F,B-57 and IL-28
     
    You can fly the F-86F for the Bundesluftwaffe or the MiG-15bis for the LSK/LV.

  15. DEUTSCHLAND TERRAIN (Germany)
    =====================
     
    Deutschland terrain is made for SFP1, but will also work with Wings over Vietnam or Wings over Europe.
    It represents Germany in the time of the cold war.
    The most of Germany is done, only the Ruhrgebiet and Bavaria are still terra incognita.

  16. For Strike Fighters Project 1 / Gold.
     
    Built for real time game generated strike missions. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to do a round trip strike mission. Paran and Dhimar get 4 airports each and the front line is relocated to what used to be central Dhimar. Main Features:
     
    1. 141 target areas including 10 SAM sites for Paran.
     
    2. Easy install.
     
    3. Many "Freeware" building objects being used.
     
    4. Quicker Take Off mod pre-installed, with customized parking spots and parking for C-5A sized aircraft.
     
    5. Contains Ground Attack, Truck, and Ship routes so you can fly CAS, Armed Recon and anti-ship missions.
     
    6. Has a 3X zoom map from an older version of SF that shows desert and green spaces better.
     
    7. Installation won't affect your stock "Desert" terrain.
     
    8. Negative points awarded if you cause collateral damage.

  17. WW2 Allied Bombing Range for SF, WoV & WoE
     
    This is a modification of several inis, and adding objects to give The Range a World War 2 flavor, for the Allies.
    This modificaton has been thoughly tested in SF and WoE, but not WoV. You shouldn't have any problems though, by making sure you 'cat file' pointer is pointed to the correct terrain cat. (see the Knowledge Base here at CA, or the newest Range readmes)
     
    Many of these WW2 items have been borrowed from other maps, most specificlly Edwards superb PTO and EuroWW2. Others were scattered about, like the train station and factory place.
    I'd like to express thanks to the Map Builders for their tireless work, hope I mentioned everyone ... I can fully understand the frustrations in placing objects now, after working on this and several other maps.
     
    You'll need the original Range installed to make this mod to, as the terrain iteself is not changed. This is an object and ini mod, not a full terrain. You'll also have a NEW movements ini; now you can perform Armed Recon missions.
     
    PLEASE read the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions as to how to install. Although this mod can be used in any install, it is designed with WW2 =ONLY= in mind. Most of these mods, however, can easily be added to any other Range terrain (specifically, the movements ini and the new target areas).
     
    Now, no excuses... get out ther and practice!!

  18. WW2 Axis Bombing Red Range for SF, WoV & WoE
     
    This is a modification of several inis, and adding objects to give The Red Range a World War 2 flavor, for the Axis Powers.

  21. SUEZ 2 TERRAIN Version 2.0
    *************************
     
    Suez 2 terrain is a version of my Israel2 terrain with the borders pre 1967 Six Days War and with enhanced tilesset. The main difference between Suez 2 and Suez terrain is, that Suez 2 is now sized nearly correct, while Suez terrain size was only 60% of real. The number of target areas is increased from 94 to 346. New areas with targets are the Golan heights and the Westbank.
    In Suez 2 terrain you will find Lebanon as neutral contry, Syria is holding the Golan heights, Jordan is owner of the Westbank and Egypt rules the Sinai and the Gaza strip.
    The SAM fence along the Suez Canal is not installed, because it was built between 1970 and 1972. Only some point defence SAM you will face over the Sinai, close to Kairo and near Beni Suef Airbase.
    Suez2 terrain is more smooth than Israel2 terrain. If you want to have the same roughness like in Israel2 terrain simply copy files Israel2.hfd into Suez2 folder and rename it into Suez2.hfd.

  22. Update/Upgrade of USAFMTL's Lybia terrain
     
    From the Readme:
     
    This is mostly a 'fix' of the targets, types, and movements inis.
     
    I've peaked and tweeked the targets, mostly to try to remove of 'floating' objects in the Gulf of Sidra, and to add more things for everyone to blow up. I've added the Factory Place, Truck Depot, a Lybian flag to wave in the breeze, and quite a few surprises.
    It should be noted, the water mod is NOT included in this pak...the oceans are just plain water, no wave action. You can get Tristan's Lybia water mod here at CombatAce, in the SF/WoV/WoE Terrain Mods section. If you're so inclined...
    (the DATA INI is already set up for it's usage)
     
    As I always reccomend, unzip to a temp director that's easy to find.
     
    == REMEMBER TO BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL LYBIA DATA, TARGETS, TYPES AND MOVEMENT INIS !!!!! ==
    (just my way of saying I ain't responsible for you doing dumb things!!)
     
     
    = A REALLY Important note:
     
    The targets ini in this pak is designed with the ORIGINAL tileset that came when this map was first released.
    I've tested it, in one of my many installs, with Polak's New Desert Tile Set - and it looks SPECTACULAR! But....
    there is a problem with using this newest targets ini -- all the stuff will be buried by the latest terobjects (buildings built into the tiles). It makes the cities look how they're supposed to, but the entire targets ini will need rebuilding to move or remove all the added buildings, AA & SAM units, vehicle depots, industrial centers, parked ships, POL depots, well you get the idea -- everything must be tweeked AGAIN to make use of his tile set.
    So, I reccomend NOT using his latest and greatest work, until I can get things moved around again.
    Which means, expect another version of the targets ini built to work with the newest desert terrain tiles. It's almost ready, so it won't be more than "2 weeks" <vbg>
     
    This is just a sample from the readme -- it's very extensive, and give FULL, CLEAR instructions on how to get it to work in all 3 versions of the sim. It also describes in detail what you can expect to see and experience; mostly.
     
    There is even MORE information for Vista users on disabling the shader (actually, a full DATA ini already adjusted just for them!).
     
    REMEMBER: follow the instructions exactly as they're presented to you...you should have no problems getting this to run.

  23. Upgrade/Update for Lybia Terrain -- For Use With Polak's New Desert Tiles =ONLY=
     
    This is mostly a 'fix' of the targets, types, and movements inis.

I've added the Factory Place, Truck Depot, a Patrol Boat (stock object, but I'm including all the extracted parts anyway), a Lybian flag to wave in the breeze, and a few other things that'll be surprises.
     
    It should be noted, the water mod is NOT included in this pak...the oceans are just plain water, no wave action. This is fixed by the use of Polak's New Desert Tile Set, which includes modified water tgas. This package was designed for using JUST Polak's Desert tiles, so you'll have to go and get them from the CombatAce SF/WoV/WoE Terrain downloads section. The data ini included with this set is already set up for use with his tiles, and the water effects are activated. Vista users should read the note section below, as they are a 'special' case.
     
    This has been tested in SF & WoE; It should also work in WoV, but I've not tested it in there.
     
    There is, for some reason, a bit of strangness with the Anti-Ship missions. You seem be get given target areas that are NOT listed, far off from the routes I've defined in the movements ini. Also, there is NO provision for CAS missions, as this was originally set up for air strikes, recon, sweeps, etc. SO DON'T TRY ANY CAS MISSIONS - I'm not sure what would happen; you just might be sitting in the cockpit, and get a 'mission accomplished' or it may crash. Don't know.
    If anyone is so inclined, and wants to build a 'fix' for the shipping routes, please do so, and post it so all and sundry can have it!
    I've also fiddled with target area placements to give some kind of a front line, right across the Gulf.
     
    There are further, highly detailed instructions, especially for Vista users, in the enclosed readme -- so for your own sake, read the cursed thing!!!!

  24. Upgrade/Update for American NorthWest Series of Terrains
     
    The original America Northwest Terrains; AmerianNW, AmericanNWinter and AmericaNWSpring, were released sometime back in 2003. They are exceedling FUN maps to fly on, as they are full of deep canyons and high mountain ranges.
    This is mostly a 'fix' of the targets, types, and movements inis. I've peaked and tweeked the targets to add more things for everyone to blow up. I've added the Factory Place, Truck Depot, HQ centers, and 2 country flag to wave in the breeze, one for country 'Orange' (now called the Global Sedition), and 'The Alliance'. The HQ centers have vehicles parked at them, the layout for which was borrowed from Major Lee's DBS - I figured these are all his terrains, so using it would be a pretty cool touch.
     
    The movements ini has been expanded to more Armed Recon missions, with additional truck routes for both sides. I added an oil field to the Alliance side, to give the Sedition forces something extra to bomb, and Alliance forces something to protect. I figure the story line would be "short on resources, the Global Sedititon is trying to capture the Salmon River Oil fields for their own"

  25. Version 1.4
     
    After a long periode of silence i thought, that BoB terrain was dead. BoB was forgotten. But then i found the BoB Campaign at www.combatace.com and it was a great campaign for my forgotten terrain. Then the campaign builders contacted me and this was the kickstart for me to improve BoB terrain again.
    - I updated some terraintiles. Mostly the cities, the villages and the airfields.
    -Then i invested some time in making target areas in France. You find now industrial targets in Paris and other french towns. Some new airfields i added and i made the Port of Brest.
    - The Convoys are made by Steven for his BoB Campaign. I added them in my terrain too, after a very small modification.
    - there are now 229 target areas, this are 65 more as in Version 1.3.
    - german fighter bases (Fliegerhorst) also got a new face.
     
    I tested the terrain as intensive as i could and found no bugs. If you find bugs, then please contact me via PM at SIMHQ Forum or at COMBATACE Forum.
