    1. Cessna O-1E BirdDog Pak -for 3rdWire O-1E-
= For SF2, Any and All

= Please Note: this is =NOT= a full aircraft mod. The LOD files are =NOT= included, as they are propritery of 3rdWire, and cannot be shared. So ... you =MUST= have one of the original 1stGen games - SFP1, WoV or WoE to extract the 4 needed LOD files from their Objects.cat. Instructions are in the 'To Install' section. =

This is a major overhaul of the stock, 1stGen O-1E BirdDog with a new, functioning cockpit, 4 skins and all new historically accurate serial numbers (albeit generic in nature, representing no particular unit; even the Canadian ones)

      The skins are:

      RCAF/CF CO-119 by ext (iirc)
      OD Green by ???
      USAF white (stock)
Pakistani Army Green (based on above, from Indo/Pak mod)

The RCAF/CF skin has all new decals, matching those used by Canada (*please seen "Notes" below for more on the CF serials*).
The OD Green skin from ?? has the "US Army" tag remade new, replacing that from my ancient L-19 mod, that was in the wrong font.
The USAF skin uses stock decals, as it has always done (F-100 serials).
Basically, other than stock National Insigia (and serials on the USAFWhite), all decals are new.

The cockpit is based off Kesselbrut's Yak-3 pit, HEAVILY modified to fit the O-1, with gauges repainted and converted/recalibrated to US standard (knots & feet). Some gauges do not work properly, but this is the closest we have (or more truthfully, the best I could
find). Lots of moves and other tweeks to both the data and cockpit ini make it fit like it kinda sorta shoulda.

Decal randomization is set to TRUE, so be at least at whichever patch level gave that to us.
The aircraft uses stock HVARs, but for fun I've included the M-60 underwing machine gun. So you can shoot stuff up. A revamped version of the 7.62mm M-60 gun is also included. A new Userlist.ini is supplied, with most of the Dog's users.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them -CAREFULLY-!! .... Also, see the "Notes" section for Vitally Important Information ™. Seriously ... you NEED to read it. In fact, after unzipping, you might want to read this document through before installing.

    2. SF2 Fairey Firefly Pak, Post-WW2, Korea & Post-Korea, by Simon Porter

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred*) =
*Note: the data ini includes statements usable ONLY in a Full-5 Merged install, as SF2NA contains the proper coding for Carrier basing/usage.*

Some extensive rebuilding (ini and skin wise) of Simon Porter's 2005 Beta Release of the Fairey Firefly Mk5 (aka FR.5). The pak is designed to replace any and all other earlier SF/Wo* versions existing.

All skins and decals are brand new for this mod; the skins were created via a Home-Grown Template ™. The template is included. All markings are decals, making it easy to 'swapout' ship ID letters (provided as decals) or skins to create other operational squadrons. The skins are in jpg format. All new dds-format damage textures are included.

A new SF2 (semi) compliant FM was created, as was the new Userlist.ini. A "new" SF2 version of my original "box art" hangar screen is included, as is the engine sound. This aircraft has been tested in a Full-5 Merged envoriment, in SF2NA for carrier operations.

This pak contains the following skins:
      Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm:
812 Squadron, HMS Ocean circa 1953-ish (withOUT 'Invasion Stripes')
827 Squadron, HMS Triumph, early Korean War withOUT 'Invasion Stripes' (1950)
827 Squadron, HMS Theseus, mid-late Korean War WITH 'Invasion Stripes' (circa 1951)
Royal Australian Navy, Fleet Air Arm:
817 Squadron, HMAS Sidney, circa 1951

The RN squadrons use a 'pool' of 25 generic serial/Modex Number decals shared amongst them. I say generic, as they represent FR.5 models from the 1948-55 time frame, but with little hard data available, it's almost impossible to run down "which went to what squadron aboard what boat". The RAN serials, are also 100% historic, but again are limited to those known to have operated aboard HMAS Sidney at some point during the Korean War. There are 19 RAN serial/modex decals.
Weapons are NOT included, as they are readily available in The Gunny Pak or the KAW weapons pak, both available here at CA.

PLEASE remember -- the aircraft lod is still in it's 2005 form (read: the Beta) and many bits are not quite right. As there is no MAX file available, the aircraft "is as it is". Some aerodynamic components exist only in the 'virtual state' as data ini statements.

As always, fairly easy to follow install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Simon's original Readme is also enclosed.

    3. Grumman F-11F-1 Tiger

      -- For SF2, Any and All --

This is an upgrade package of the F-11F by Fleet Defender & Co (originally released in 2005). All the skins and decals have been updated, with many new ones created. Ini edits fix the overbright landing light; other tweeks add new AI sections, place weapons more centered on the pylons, round count corrected, and some other minor adjustments. A new avionics ini is included, that adds the radar ranging gunsight. The cockpit used is the stock A-4B Skyhawk, which is available in all versions of SF2, excepting stand-alone SF2:I mods folders. Merged installs should have no issues whatsomever. The lead-computing gunsight statements have also been added.

4 skins and decals are included in this pak (all that I could find!). They are:

      VA-156 (which became VF-111 in 1959)
      VF-21
      VF-33
      VF-111

Skins are by various artists, hopefully listed (correctly!) in the Credits below. Several of the skins were repainted, from a partial template I created, to remove the painted on Modex numbers. These are now all decals.

Weapons included are just the 150 gallon drop tank; all others use stock in-game items.
I've added several Mission profiles that I'm sure the actual aircraft did NOT perform (Strike, CAS, Armed Recon, and Anti-Ship). They're there for the playability factor. If you don't want to perform them, just edit them out of the data ini.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have, to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, as usual, the expected 'Notes and Other Nonesense' comments by me.
A full credits listing of those that worked on it, or contributed parts are below, and in the original release readme included.

    4. MiG-21Um "Mongol" by AmokFloo

      = For SF2, Any and All* =

*Reccomended for Full-4 merged, as it references some decals from SF2:E and SF2:I*

Fairly Complete SF2 package of the MiG-21UM "Mongol", with a collection of skins (well, those that I had ... feel free to add others!). 10 skins/decal sets are included in this package. Looking through the 1stGen downloads shows several more skins that can be easily added.

You have these skins in this package:

4 Indian AF (24 Sq, 101 Sq, HAL, IAF Gray)
      2 Czech
      1 East German
      2 Soviet (NM & Camo)
1 "Generic" overall Desert (tagged for EAF)

A new "Userlist.ini" is included (may not be fully accurate, and changes/updates are welcomed!). Minor tweeks to data, loadout and avionics inis. The avionics ini now as a gun-rangine radar and an audio-only RWR. A new Hangar screen is also included. All lighting has been adjusted to fit the aircraft, however, a landing light was NOT added. It also references the 'MiGEngine.wav' from TMFs MiGs (not included)
Decal randomization is set to true, for the most part. With a little luck, I got them all dialed in correctly!!! Feel free to make any/all adjustments and correction.
Weapons, with the exception of the MG pod are NOT included, as they use all stock in-game items.
The KV-1 seat is also included in the /Pilots folder.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

    5. Q-5 Fantan Series Pak

      = For SF2, Any and All* =

*Note: Full-4 Merged reccomended, but can be used in any game with access to the F-4F Phantom from SF2:E*

A new skin/decal pak for the Q/A-5 Fantan series, upgraded for SF2. This package is based off lindr2's work for 1stGen, which in turn is/was based off the Insky release, with some modifications/tweeks/fiddling around and general 'messing with'
to bring it more in line with SF2

This is a complete package, of 3 aircraft containing various and sundry cockpits -
Remember!!! you must have a Full-4 Merged, or at least acess to SF2:Es BLW F-4F Phantom, as the Q-5II references that cockpit. All other pits are included. Rebuilt data inis use the latest (Nov 2011) MiG-19 FM; while not perfect, work much better than before. A new userlist ini is included, for all models, regardless of A or Q
naming. They're still Fantans, no matter what.

Some name changes have been implemented by me; what was called the D is more closer to the A, so you have the following aircraft, keeping their PLAAF designation, regardles of export status

      Q-5A
Q-5E (called Q-5D/E/F in the displayed name -they're nearly identical)
      Q-5II

The original skins, of course, are included, as is a NEW Sudan AF for the Q-5E. New serial numbers for the SuAf are 'best guess' based upon the 2 photos I could find (SuAF shown in the screenie above)
      of them.
New DDS damage textures are included, but they don't work as advertised. It's your choice to use them or not (turns the aircraft black for some reason -probably a mapping issue)

A 'home grown' template for A/D/E/F series is included for skinner.

PLAFF weapons, for the most part, are included, as are the pilots & ejection seats.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! As well as the "Notes" section
Any/All faults, mistakes, etc are mine & mine alone.

    6. Vought F7U-3M Cutlass (by Marcfighters)
      - For SF2 (Any and All, but Full-4 Merged Prefered) -

This is an upgrade to the F7U Pak I released in 2008, and like the original, still a sort of Beta (Minus). This is simply because the aircraft model is/was NOT finished by Marcello. Details as to this rating are enumerated in the 'ori-2008_f7u_readme.txt' included.

It's suggested for a Full-4 merged, although it can be used in any version that has access to the F-4B, as that cockpit is referenced, and the A-4's 300 gallon drop tank. These should be available in all versions, perhaps excepting SF2I, as that lacks the F-4B as stock.

Several ini tweeks move this a little closer (well, in that respect) for SF2. For the change list, see the "Notes" section below.

      2 skins/decal are included:

VA-116 (Gull Gray/White, from the original pak)
      VF-124 (new, in 'natural metal')

I've also included the skin templates, just in case someone might want them (and IMPROVE them!!). Also included is the AIM-7A Sparrow & AIM-9A Sidewinder from the GunnyPak (in case you ain't go it). All other weapons/drop tanks used are stock in-game items.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... I've also included my original readme from the 2008 release -- might want to give a read. It states what's what with this, and why it's classed as a "Beta Minus" release, even now. So, again, please read it.

    7. Lockheed S-3B Viking by FoxMonter
      = For SF2, Any and All =

This is the (hopefully) full, compiled package of FoxMonter' S-3B "Viking" Sea Control Aircraft, upgraded/updated/fiddled-to-fit the SF2 series. I've assembled all the skin/decal sets I could find into one big lump.

Skins included in the pak are:

      VS-21 Fighting Redtails +
      VS-27 Sea Wolves *
      VS-29 Dragonfires +
      VS-30 Diamondcutters +
      VS-30DS (Desert Storm) ?
      VS-32 Maulers ?
      VS-33 Screwbirds +
      VS-33lo Screwbirds (Lo-Viz) +
      VS-35 Blue Wolves *
      VS-38 Red Griffins +
      VX-1 Pioneers +

The suffix symbols designate the artist that created the skins/decals. The Key is below:

      *=HrntFxr
      +=Paul Nortness
      ?=IDK

All decals and decal inis have been fixed and updated to SF2 standards.
Several ini edits to the loadout, data and avionics also update them to SF2 standards (as of Aug, 2011). Wingfold and bombay animations have been seperated; bombay uses the standard Control/O (oh)key, and the wingfold is activated via the Shift/9 key. The cockpit is not equiped with an RWR display, so an 'audio-only' version is used. The flight model is unchanged.
A new, SF2-style photographic hangar screen is also included. I've also included several sounds called for in the data ini.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed, easy-to-follow install instructions.

With thanks to all the skinners, and FoxMontor for their work!

    8. This is the NATO E-3 Components TCA,(USAF designated CT-49A) based on the 707-320. These aircraft are use for pilot training of the E-3 Component and for cargo and troop transport as needed. Three are operated by NATO and a total of 5 have ever flown under NATO colors. This mod includes a touch up of the OTAN skin found in the TMF E-3A release and decals for all 5 TCA's ever registered in Luxemborg. It also includes the Sentry cockpit to make it flyable, or if you have the 707-300 already you can drop the CT-49 skin in and it will work as well. I hope you enjoy!
