    1. EA-6B Prowler, for SF2 by Hawker, Agemmenon & 331KillerBee

      = For SF2, Any and All (but designed for Full-5 Merged and/or SF2:NA) =

*It should work fine in non-SF2NA installs*

REMINDER: you =MUST= install this update package to the original download. The location URL and Full instructions ™, are below in the "To Install" section. It is also HIGHLY reccomended you read this entire document, after unzipping but BEFORE installing over the original download. There are a couple of extra steps you'll be taking...

The package builds further on the original SF2 conversion done by 331KillerBee, and expands the usable skin set "a bit."
Included is a mix of early Hi-Viz markings, and later Lo-Viz markings. They've been diferentiated by a "guesstimated" transition year of 1985, when the LoViz automaticlly appears. The HiViz skins are listed normally; the LoViz have the "lo" suffix. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.

      Skins contained herein are:

      HiViz -

      VAQ-132 "Scorpions"
      VAQ-134 "Garudas"
      VAQ-140 "Patriots"
      VMAQ-2 "Death Jesters" (later version?)
VMAQ-2 "Playboys" (early - folder is called Playboy)

      Lo-Viz -

      VAQ-130lo "Zappers"
      VAQ-135lo "Black Ravens"
      VAQ-136lo "Guantlets"
      VAQ-138lo "Yello Jackets"
      VAQ-139lo "Cougars"
      VMAQ-1 "Banshees"

The folder and main ini have been renamed "EA-6B_AH" (for Agemmnon & Hawker) to keep this aircraft seperate from the stock TW EA-6B version that comes with SF2:NA. To further differentiate it from the 3W model, on the Aircraft Selection Drop-down, it will read as
"EA-6B Prowler ICAP II" (KB's work -not mine!)

The install method being used here will cause you to do a few more steps =BEFORE= installing, but they are all outlined in the "To Install" section. The new carrier lines for SF2NA have been added, but for End Users without SF2NA, it should pose no issues for use. The earlier Game Engine will simply ignore them. You will still be able to set them for carrier usage via the mission editor or campaigns.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! The Notes section contains further details, descriptions, elightenments, illuminations, and so forth. Be good to read them, too.
No, seriously ... unzip this archive and =READ= everything first!!! It's exceptionly important you do so....and equally important, to follow the instructions exactly as I've given them to you!

With thanks to all the skinners and ini dancers to kept this old mod from disappearing! KB's original readme is included, as are one or two from the skin downloads.

      Happy Jamming!

    2. KA-6D Refuling Intruder, for SF2 by The Intruders
      = For SF2, Any and All (meaning: Full-5 Merged and/or SF2:NA) =

This is a semi-complete mod, with almost everything needed to unzip and install. All aircraft inis, lods, new drop tank, etc are included. However ... the cockpit, other than an RWR bmp is NOT! You'll have to supply your own, as outlined in posts on the CA Message Boards. You must also have 1stGen WoV or WoE in your possession to extract the necessary cockpit parts to install to this mod. All I've suppled are the updated inis, and the single RWR bmp (that replaces the dash clock). You must also have the original 1stGen Download of this aricrat to install this Pak to. See "To Install" for more detailed instructions. And follow them to the letter!

A wealth of skins are included in the pak; pretty much ALL the 1stGen KA-6 skins I could find. Most, if not all, are the work of AllenJB & Paul Nortness. You'll have, in Full Color:

      VA-35 (USS Nimitz?)
      VA-35cs (USS Coral Sea)
      VA-42 (USS Forestall)
      VA-52 (USS Kitty Hawk)
      VA-65 (USS Independence)
      VA-65e (USS Enterprise)
      VA-115 (USS Midway)
      VA-128 (no ship listed)
      VA-145 (USS Ranger)

      In Lo-Viz markings:

      VA-35lo (USS Saratoga)
      VA-42lo (USS Forestall)
      VA-52lo (USS Kitty Hawk)
      VA-75lo (USS John F. Kennedy)
      VA-85lo (USS Enterprise)
      VA-95lo (USS Abraham Lincoln)
      VA-176lo (no ship listed)
      VA-185lo (USS Midway)
      VA-196lo (USS Coral Sea)

All Lo-Viz skins have a default start date of 1985 (my best guess as to the date-of-transition. Feel free to correct, and post the actual date). Decal radiation is set to TRUE for all skins, due to they're extreamly low amount (4-5 Modex/BuNum) per aircraft.

All inis have been brought as close as possible to the latest (3/2012 and/or SF2:NA) standards. The FM remains untouched, but small changes in the Data INI add manually folding wings (Shift/9), and I've adjusted the auto deployment speeds for the refueling drogue. The avionics have also been slightly adjusted.
Again, there have been some statement added that may only work with installs patched to 3/2012 and/or SF2:NA. Use in other, earlier dated installs is at the End Users risk.

It should be noted, as AFR is NOT supported in-game, this aircraft mostly exists as "Eye Candy", to be seen parked on deck, airfield ramps, and just flying around turning jet fuel into noise.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! The Notes section contains further details, descriptions, elightenments, illuminations, and so forth. Be good to read them, too.
No, seriously ... unzip this archive and =READ= everything first!!! It's exceptionly important you do so....

    3. MiG-9 "Fargo" (by Timmy & Lexx_Luthor) -- SF2 UpDate Pak

      = For SF2, Any/All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) =

An upgrade pack for Timmy/Lexx_Luthor's early Soviet Jet Fighter. This mod will replace any others, including the one I did several years ago. This'll give another early 1stGen Jet Fighter for the Red side, for whatever use you see fit to put it to.

This is the complete aircraft package, with a new cockpit - a slight modification of Stary's Mig pit-, all new 90% SF2 compliant FM, and 7 skins (all the ones I could find). All weapons (ie: the drop tank) are included. You should already have the necessary guns, so they are not supplied. A pilot figure and seat are also included, as are new Hangar and Loading screens. Also new are dds damage textures.

The skins are basically the same as when first released, with the additon of a nicer natural metal Soviet by p10ppy (shown in the accompanying screenshot). The Soviet skins have been renamed slightly. Check the drop down on the loadout screen for the selection. Included is Timmy's fictional Polish AF camo*. Where necessary, all decal inis have been pointed to stock items; decal randomization is set to TRUE for all skins.
*Please note, the Polish skin references bort numbers that may only be available in SF2E*

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! Don't forget the 'Notes' section for other usless information, clarifications, and general ramblings.
For historical purposes, the Original Release Read-me is included. Other credits are listed further down this (the readme) document.

    4. SF2 Korean War Era AD-4NL Skyraider (by MontyCZ)

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

This is an SF2/SF2NA upgraded version of my previously released AD-4NL Skyraider. It is designed to replace all my older versions for use in the SF2 environment.

This mod represents AD-4NL's from VC-35 "Night Hecklers". The squadron was deployed in various "Dets" of 2-4 aircraft aboard almost all USN Carriers during Korea.

The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, with all the SF2NA coding for deck 'parking'.
Skins are still in bmp format, I didn't bother converting them to jpg. Most markings are decals and Modex/BuNums are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for the actual ones used by this squadron, as I couldn't run them down; consider them 'generic' for this purpose.

All the necessary weapons, effects, sounds and etc are included, as is the NEW Skyraider cockpit by Dels.
Standard Animations keystrokes are used for the canopy (Shift/0) and wingfold (shift/9)

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. There is important information on Night Operations (what VC-35 specalized in)
You may consider this 'Ver.3' of the AD-4NL.

    5. SF2 AD2/3 Skyraider

= For Your Korean War Flying Pleasure =
      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged, (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: you MUST have SF2:V as part of your merged install. This aircraft references the A-1H lod from SF2V,
and will =NOT= work without it.*

This is a mod of the 3rdWire A-1H Skyraider, to the earlier AD-2/3 version as used by the USN and USMC
during the Korean War. It was thrown together as an experiment some long time ago, and I thought you all would like to have it, "just because". The aircraft is supplied with 2 skins:

VA-35, "Black Panthers" US Navy, USS Leyte 1950 *
VMA-121 "Wolf Raiders", USMC, Pyongteak, 1950-53

This is a complete aircraft (well, minus the Stock Lod ™ of course!), with a new radar-equipped cockpit
by Dels. Skins are still in bmp format, making it usable in all SF2 merged game installs with access to the
A-1H.lod. The skins are new from my Home Grown Templates ™, in the 1950s Dark Gloss Navy Blue; all
markings are decals and are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for
the actual ones used by the squadrons; consider them 'generic' for that purpose.
The 'USMC50s' pilot figure, AN/APS-4 radar pod and engine sounds are included. The only weapon included is the 120 gallon drop tank. Bombs and rockets reference those WW2 units from the GunnyPak, and are NOT
included (simple edits can make the stock 3W ones usable, if one has Expansion Pak 1).

Wingfold is NOT activated, but the canopy is. Use the Usual Suspect (shift/0) to open and close it. All
      lighting is hisotrically correct.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.
Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Please.

    6. Republic F-84E Thunderjet by RussoUK
      =For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended/Preferred,etc)=

*Expansion Pak 1 may be necessary for WW2 era weapons, if not using the GunnyPak*

Some modifications, tweeks, and general fiddlating on Russo's fine F-84E Thunderjet.

      Skins provided are:

36th FBW, USAFE circa 1952 when commanded by Col. Robert L. Scott (yes, that guy!)
49th FBG, FEAF/5th AF, Tageu, Korea circa 1951/53 -yes, the entire group, all 3 squadrons:
      7th FBS (Blue/White)
      8th FBS (Yellow/Black)
      9th FBS (Red/White)

All new, 100% historically correct serial and BuzzNumber decals have been created for all skins. It should be noted, that while those for the 36th FBW =ARE= for those aircraft from the 36th, I was unable to pin down exactly which squadron(s) in the Wing.
Some of the 49th FBW skins have stars (*) in their number lists (7th & 8th FBS) next to the ID number, denoting those with 100% positive identification; excepting the 9th FBS, where =ALL= have been 100% positively IDed as serving in that squadron. Those without stars (*) served in the 49th, but not to my full satisfaction as to which squadron. Rest assured, if I say they're correct for The Wing, they are.

Like the recently released F-84G, it has a new 'experimental' SF2-level flight model, uses the same Sabre drop tanks, and uses the same manual keyed animation (surprise! Shift/0) to open and close the canopy. It also uses the same sound file, not included. The same 'generic-style' hangar screen from the G is included as well. A userlist is included; it may need some adjustments as to other NATO/MAP users -which are welcomed!

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! As always, the usual "Notes" section for other interestering details and stuff.

    7. Republic F-84C Thunderjet, 59th FIS, 33 FIW (by RussoUK)
      =For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended/Preferred,etc)

*Expansion Pak 1 may be necessary for WW2 era weapons, if not using the GunnyPak*

Some modifications, tweeks, and general fiddlating on Russo's early Thunderjet.
AKA: revamping of my very old F-84B/C mod, refocused on just the C model (Bs did a lot of crashing and self-disassembly, and wound up back at the factory, or on 'fire training')

Serial/Buzz number are 100% correct for the 33rd FIW; those marked in the Numbers.lst with a star (*) have 100% positively IDed as being from the 59th FIS. All others are, again, from the 33rd, but was unable to 'attach' them to any specific squadron(s) within The Wing. Decal radomazation is set to "TRUE"

Like the recently released F-84E & G, it has a new 'experimental' SF2-level flight model, uses the same Sabre drop tanks, and uses the same manual keyed animation (surprise! Shift/0) to open and close the canopy. It also uses the same sound file, not included. The same 'generic-style' hangar screen from the G is included as well. A userlist is included; as these were ONLY used by the USAF, it may be moot!

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! As always, the usual "Notes" section for other interestering details and stuff.

    8. Republic F-84G Thunderjet by RussoUK
      =For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended/Preferred,etc)

*Expansion Pak 1 may be necessary for WW2 era weapons, if not using the GunnyPak*

Some modifications, tweeks, and general fiddling on Russo's fine F-84G Thunderjet.

      Skins provided are:

      159th FBS, USAF in Korea
468th SFS, 508th SFW, USAF/SAC, Turner AFB, GA (both by JSF_Aggie)
6th Aerobrigata AMI (originally by Stephan S, with all new decals by me)
      Royal Danish Air Force
      Portugese Air Force, 20th Squadron
Generic Natural Metal (above 3 by me)

All new decals for the RDAF (historicaly correct, but representing no particular squadron) and a 'generic' set of serials and Buzz Numbers for the G-NM are included. As generic in nature, they represent no particular squadron, but these along with the G-NM skin can be used for other NATO operative countries (Greece, Turkey, etc). The 6 ACB skin has several actual, historic serials. These are marked with a star (*) on the number lst. All others ARE those as used by AMI T-Jets, but was unable to lock in a particular unit.

Some of the additions/changes are locating the node-name so the nose wheel now piviots for steering, addition of a landing light (nose only), canopy operated via manual animation key (use, as expected, Shift/0). Armor protection has also been upgraded. The avionics have been adjusted to activate the radar-ranging gunsight. A new userlist was also created -it may not be fully accurate, and adjustments are welcomed! Loadouts use WW2 era bombs from the GunnyPak, but is easily readjusted to use those from SF2 expansions 1 & 2. External drop tanks use the everpresent F-86 tanks for those under-fuselage mounts (closest shape and size). A new AN-M81 260 lb fragmentation bomb (from KAW) is included and used for CAS/Armed Recon.
The inner hardpoints have been split into 2 groups, as the G model had a nuclear delivery mode, with a bomb on one inner hardpoint, and a drop tank on the other. These early bombs are available in my 3W F-84F upgrade kit, available here at CA. For mission builders, an "alternative loadout for CAS/Attack/SEAD is included using the Triple rocket racks.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! PLEASE read the extensive "Notes" section ... there's Vital Information ™ on operation uses and glitches that you need to be aware of.
