DH Sea Vixen FAW.1 & FAW.2
By Wrench
DH Sea Vixen FAW.1 & FAW2 for SF2
= For SF2, Any and All =
This is an upgrade/mod of Skippybings Sea Vixens, BOTH the FAW.1 and FAW.2 - so you get two complete aircraft in one pakcage!!! Such a deal!!! (Unfortunatley, this IS a rather large package...so, sorry!). This was done simply to make it easier for you, the End User to install. (Almost) Everything necessary to unzip, install, and fly away is supplied.
Included are updated versions of the BunyPak FirestreakIR and RedtopIR*, and the drop tanks. All other weapons used are stock items (with the possible exception of the AGM-12C Bullpup -not supplied- which may be from the GunnyPak)
*=these are seperate missile from the 3W Firestreak & Redtops; for use only on the Javelin and Sea Vixen FAW1 & FAW2. This was done on purpose -don't mess with this!!! Seriously .. don't. All things are done for a reason.*
Skins/decal sets included are:
FAW.1:
890 NAS (w/one Sundowner bmp, edited by me, so as not to waste decals)
892 NAS
893 NAS
899 NAS (these all by Sundowner)
FAW.2:
766 NAS
893 NAS
899 NAS (all Sundowner skins!!)
Where possible, the Squadron Badge has been used for the paint chip in the Loadout Screen.
Data and loadout changes duplicate the hardpoints (on the FAW.1 only); one set is ONLY for missiles, the other is ONLY for use bombs and rocket pods. Other tweeks to the avionics and cockpit 'clean up' or replace a few gauge skins, a new gunsight and missile "shoot cues" were created/modified from others.
A "new" engine sound is supplied for the Avons. Both aircraft have SF2 stlye 'carrier deck' hangar screens, and the damage/shredded tgas have been converted to dds (hope they work!!!). Flight model remains untouched; it "feels" about right. Remember -it's a gunless, missile-only armed Interceptor, NOT a dogfighter!! Fly accordingly!!
As a bonus, for those End Users with SF2:E AND with Expansion Pak2, there are alternate Data and Loadout inis for the FAW.1, adding the 2inch Micro-cell rockets. Usefull for hitting bombers, trucks, ships and other assorted annoyances. REMEMBER --these are 2 seperate inis, and you'll need SF2E Exp2 to get them to work. Instructions on how to switch are below in the "To Install" section. (these were removed on the FAW.2, so don't go adding them!)
As always, =READ= the enclosed readme for full, highly detailed, step-by-step install instructions. This package is set up for a 'drag and drop' style of installation -- everything has been divided into the proper folder format that SF2 needs/wants/requires. Of course, the usual "Notes" section for other important stuff; might want to read it, huh? VERY Important info in there... So, PLEASE read it through after unzipping, but before installing. The procedures for missile firing should be reviewed.
Let's hope this one works!
Good Hunting

Canberra B(I) mk8 for the "Strike Fighters 2" Series
by Ahmed Junaid Raza
Special thanks to "Spinners" for tweaking the 3D model to be more like the real Canberra - didn't realise they were so out!
Updated for SF 2 series by MigBuster and Spinners (July 2009)
Temp Gunpack by Wrench (July 2009)
The B(I) mk8 was derived from the B(I)mk6 and retains the same Engines, fuel load and loadout. The main change was a redesigned nose and offset fighter style canopy - which was put in place due to the targetting difficulties of the B.mk2 fishbowl style canopy.
The B.1 Mk8 Interdictor came into service in 1956 with around 69 being built. Other Later variants also used the offset Fighter style canopy.

The B(I) mk58 was the export version of the B(I) mk8 and retains the same Engines, fuel load and loadout with some cosmetic changes.
Sixty Five Canberra B(1) 58's were delivered to and flown by the Indian Air Force from 1957 along with eight PR.57 and seven T.4 trainers. Canberras saw combat in the major conflicts (1965, 1971, and 1999). The last IAF Canberra retired in 2007.

Special thanks to "Spinners" for tweaking the 3D model to be more like the real Canberra - didn't realise they were so out!
Updated for SF 2 series by MigBuster and Spinners (July 2009)
The B.mk20 was licence built B.mk2 by the Government Aircraft Factories, Melbourne, Australia. It featured an increased fuel capacity thanks to wing fuel tanks and outer wing pylons were also added.
The B.mk20 was used by the Australian RAAF between around 1966 and 1971 in conflict during the Vietnam war as part of the US 35th TFW.
The version in this pack is the later model with the Avon 109 engines and has outer wing pylons according to pictures ive seen. It is also mentioned that the RAAF could use wingtip racks for extra bombs though not too sure on that.

In 1957 the Royal Rhodesian Air Force ordered 15 B.2s and three T.4s. These were delivered two years later. These were said to have seen action in several regional wars in the area. The version here represents the RRAF from 1971 to 1980. (Rhodesia is now called Zimbabwe)
In 1961 three ex-RAF Canberras were purchased by Germany for trials and experimental use flying with Erprobungstelle 61 - these were delived in 1966.

Updated for the SF2 series by MigBuster and Spinners (July 2009)
The RAF's first bomber, the Canberra, had a career spanning over 51 years on the front lines. Chief designer W. Petter had just joined the design team at English Electric when work began on the Canberra. He changed the swept wings of the original design to a more unconventional design with the engines part way out on, and embedded in, the wing. The end sections of the wings were broad and square, and two powerful Rolls-Royce Avon engines completed the design. The crew of two sat side-by-side in a pressurized cabin. With good fuel economy, and excellent maneuverability at all altitudes, the EE.A1 was an instant success.
The prototype was first flown on May 13, 1949, and was problem-free. The first four prototypes were designated the Canberra B.MK 1, and were intended for use with a radar-assisted bomb aiming system. A delay in this system led to the production of a day bomber prototype, the Canberra B.MK 2, and the first operational aircraft were delivered on May 25, 1951.
Around 410 B.mk2s were built for the RAF - some saw action in the 1956 Suez crisis.

SF2 BAe Nimrod MR.1 Remod Pak by Veltro2k
By Wrench
SF2 BAe Nimrod MR.1 Remod Pak by Veltro2k
= For SF2, (Full 5 Merged ONLY!!)=
**FUll 5 Merged reccomended, as the destroyed model references the stock 3W B-52, and many statements in the data ini refer to SF2NA coding only**
A Re-release of the Veltro2k's Nimrod Martime Patrol aircraft, now with some (ok, many) updates for the SF2:NA environment.
This is the complete aircraft package, with an new cockpit and various and sundry ini tweeks. Several new or updated weapons are included. The hangar and loading screens have also been converted for SF2 usage.
2 skins are included:
42 Squadron, in the original 2-tone (called Early)
201 Squadron, in the Hemp (called, Hemp (doh!!))
The skins will automatically change from the Early to the later Hemp at a (semi)specific date. (Read: my best guess)! Skins remain in bmp format.
Decal randomization is set to TRUE for both skins. Basicly, it's the exactly as I released sometime back for SF2 (pre-purge), but with several enchancement and tweeks, now set up for SF2NA. Damage textures are in DDS.
Loadouts have been adjusted to start with torpedos, and then switch to Harpoons, also at a 'best guesstimate' year (1983).
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, give the "Note" section a read, in particular on operational usage.
The Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft.
For those that still have the original releases, you may want to delete said original (or back it up somewheres), as there HAVE been changes and additions in several of the inis mostly in respect to SF2NA. Consider this a FULL replacement of the original.
**These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**.
Good Hunting!

Changes in v1.1 - Added Stary's excellent Vampire cockpit. Many thanks to him for granting permission to use his work for this mod.
The mod is meant as a tribute to the first jet fighter India acquired and manufactured under license in India. It was 45 Squadron's Vampires that went into action on 01 Septmber 1965 in a valiant attempt to stop Pakistan's suprise attack that marked opening day of the 1965 war. Four valiant Vampire pilots lost their lives that fateful day in that brave attempt. Tthe Vampires were slightly successful in slowing down the Pakistani thrust. Contrary to Pakistani propoganda that the Vampires were pulled out of service the day after the Vampire losses, 45 and 220 Squadron's Vampires continued flying interediction sorties through the war.

Hi Res lightnings
By Sundowner
This is just a set of skins I've had lying around for ages now, they're set up as stand alone planes because they use slightly different bump maps than those supplied by TK, otherwise everything else is the same as stock.
You can add the skins to the stock aircraft folders if you dont want any more planes in your menue and dont mind some details not lining up correctly in certain light conditions.

Royal New Zealand Airforce Canberra B.2 & B(I) Mk12 for SF2
By dtmdragon
Strike Fighters 2 Canberra B(I) mk12 operated by the Royal New Zealand Air force and Canberra B.2 loaned by the RNZAF before the purchase of the mk12
The B.2 is the stock B.2 with RNZAF skin/markings and make flyable with the cockpit from the SF B.2 by Ahmed Junaid Raza & Daniel "Kessselbrut" Himmel
The mk12 was made by modifying the Canberra B(I) mk12 (South African AF) by Ahmed Junaid Raza
Credit also goes to MigBuster and spinners for their part in the original mods and of course Third Wire.
To install place files in appropriate folders and override. Make sure you read the original readme as well.
You will need the Europe expansion Pack 2 to use the B.2
History on the RNZAF Canberra:
In 1958, while awaiting delivery of their own Canberras, the RNZAF "hired" a squadron of 17 B.2s and three T.4s from the RAF as part of the Commonwealth Strategic Reserve. The B.2s and one T.4 were used, from 1958 until 1962, by the then newly formed RNZAF 75 Squadron. The squadron was based at RAF Tengah (Singapore) and became involved in active service during the Malayan emergency with their first bombing raid being carried out on 30 September 1959.
In February 1958 New Zealand placed a contract for 11 aircraft for use by 14 Sqd, the contract called for nine B(I)12 and two T.13 Canberras. The B(I)12 was the equivalent of the RAF's B(I)8 but with auto-pilot and modified navigation kit. The T.13 was equivalent to the T.4 but with auto-pilot and an extra bomb bay fuel tank.
14 Squadron was based at RNZAF Ohakea in New Zealand
Initially the squadron continued to use their D.H. Vampires for rocket projectile firing practice as the B(I)12s did not get this capability until December 1961. Trials then began with wing-pylon mounted Microcell rocket launchers each holding 37 rockets. Gradually the squadron achieved operational status in all its roles, including anti-shipping, and took part in deployment exercises to Singapore as part of the Commonwealth Reinforcement Force.
In late 1962, the OCU was incorporated into the squadron as "C" Flight giving 14 Squadron a strength of ten B(I)12s and two T.13s. In 1964 the B(I)12s received their camouflage paint scheme ready for deployment to Singapore. 14 Sqd arrived in Singapore in September 1964 to assist in Operation Confrontation against Indonesia. A month later they went to the forward base at Labuan but were moved back to Tengah a week later! 14 Sqd stayed as part of the FEAF and, in March 1965, moved to RAAF Butterworth in Malaya. Not for long however. In 1966 the squadron returned to RNZAF Ohakea. Sadly, in the final month at Butterworth, NZ6104 crashed during a low-level RP attack at the China Rock range.
Back in NZ, the decision had been taken to phase out the B(I)12 which duly took place in July 1970. New Zealand's Canberras were sold as a job-lot to India in November 1970. Some are still flying today

SeaHawks over Suez update
By Tomb
what started out as a flightmodel tweak soon took on a life of its own and
became a lot more
basically what we have here is changes in the flight model so the Seahawk FB3/FGA4/FGA6 aircraft
handling is a lot closer to whats described in the aircrew manual part 3
(handling) and while we had the book open part 6 (operating data) and one
thing led to another and you have the result before you
i have adjusted the load out to be "realistic" and as in the manual so they
respect the wieght limits, you can maually oveload if you wish but if you
wish to fly "realistically" take fuel out to compensate for the extra
wieght
with a full load of rockets and fuel tanks...you cant partially fill them
so if you drop your internal fuel to 75% the wieghts (and fuel) you will be
right.
the bomb/fuel pylons should be jettionable but i dont know the code for
this yet so your aircraft state is pre-mod N.247 so you cant, so you keep the
pylons on jettison for now
others major changes are the FB3 has no rockets
the FGA4/6 rockets and load out now work correctly though visually the
inner pair will appear too far inboard...this is a visual model thing and i
may revisit this later to see if i can move them...unless someone beats me
to it, hint hint
thier are signifcant changes to the handling but the most usefull advice i
will give is 110kts clean in landing config on the approach to put here on
the carrier deck..heck even the AI can land it...
last but not least the hunter cockpit is used instead of the meteor cockpit
you must have the SUEZ mod installed or at least the SEAhawks with thier
default names from it
Simply drop the objects folder into your Mods folder in my documents or
wherever you put your strikefighter mods (SF2merged+exp1 for suez)
and hopefully the relevent update files will install in the right place
otherwise just go to the update folder, remove the 3 files for each aircraft you need and
manually place them
as always back your files up FIRST before applying..if you dont like what i
have done you can then revert
as always credit goes to the original creators of the SEAhawk, all i have
done is alter some files...an update of the seahawk if you will

P.S.
Some Suez squadrons, scheduled as FGA.4 equipped, that had (by serial numbers) Fga.6 (800) or were mixed beetween the Fga.4 and Fga.6 (810), I have put on Fga.6.
BTW You can copy the relative folders in F.4 too if You want. They will work fine.
