    1. USAAF P-51C Mustang Upgrade & Skin Pak for SF/WoV/WoE, WW2 ETO Installs

This is a re-skin and ini upgrade package for Wolf's P-51C "Mustang" (Malcom Hood). The skin was created from his orginal template, but I've redrawn all the panel lines, added some rivets, made various and sundry enhancements to the skin; made several changes in the data, loadout and cockpit inis. A new N-3 gunsight tga has also been included.

The skin represents aircraft from 356th Fighter Squadron, 354th Fighter Group "The Pioneer Mustang" unit circa 1944/45 (pre-invasion striped, or post invasion striped -whichever you deceide!). I've heavly researched this unit, and as best I could, tried to match photos of the nose art. Where data was available, the actual serial numbers have been used. All others are C model serials, but I make no claims to if they actually served in 356th. Some of the nose arts are 'interperative'; meaning I did them in the best way I could to get them to fit on the aircraft. Some are in the 99% acuracy range, so I think you all should be pretty happy with them. You'll have squadron codes and individual letters for 26 aircraft

You'll also find a new "MustangC" hangar screen, I created just for this mod, and ONLY available with it!!!

==NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS PAK INSTALLED FOR PROPER WEAPONS LOADOUT!!==

PLEASE read the enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions, plus comments and notes that you might find interesting.

      Happy Landings!!!

    2. P-51D-30, Generic Post-WW2 Skin and Ini Update for SF, WoV & WoE

A "simple, plain old garden variety" natural metal skin for Wolf's P-51D-30 Mustang, that uses the "P-51D30_V3.LOD", or in other words, the latest version that's available in the "Planes Pak", to be found at CombatAce .

This is a 'representative' skin for the F-51D Mustang, in the post-1947 era, right after the formation of the US Air Force. I did some experimentation with 'paneling'. I just used various verrry light tones of gray to try and create the differing panel sections. The skin itself was created from Wolf's original template, with cleaned up and redrawn panel lines, my 'interperative' rivets, and a new look for the cowl vent/air filter inlet.
The tail serial numbers are actual P-51D serials, just so's your tail fin don't look and feel so neeked.
I've also created the "buzz numbers" so prevelant in the post-war period, and into the Korea War, so this skin set will fit nicely into a "Cold War Gone Hot: 1948" scenario, or even a Korean War one.

As everybody knows how I hate to waste good decals, and just for fun, I transfered over and positioned a whole bunch of the various nose arts from other aircraft. So there's something to look at; and most surely against the Regs in the post-war era....there may be some partial or semi-nudidity on some some of them.

A few changes in the cockpit ini, added 2 new sight tgas (K-14 AA and AG sights). Instructions are below, in the "To Install" section.
And, once again, all the lights have correct positions, colors, and that nice little retractable landing light lens that Wolf provided for us, in now actually the landing light. --- really, this is the last time I'm fixing it!!!!
A new, WoE style Hangar Screen is also provided, for those wishing to use the aircraft/skin in a CWGH: 48 style install.

== You MUST also have the latest weapons pak to make use of the WW2 weapons.==

As stated above, there here highly detailed, step-by-step install instructions -- so PLEASE read them, ok???

      Enjoy!

    5. 1956 Operation Kadesh
P-38L Lightning Israeli Air Force (101 Squadron) 'What If?'
A simple Israeli Air Force Skin for Wolf257's P38. This is a 'what if' skin (Israel never purchased or operated the P38 AFAIK) so this is just for fun! Tested on Wings Over Israel only but I imagine it will work on SFP1/SFG although you might need to play with the decals first!

      Enjoy!

    6. This is a fictional Desert Camo scheme for the Westland Whirlwind recently released by Veltro2K with markings for the famous No.6 squadron ('The Flying Can-Openers') of the Royal Air Force. For SFP1/SFG/WOV/WOE/WOI just drop the folder called '6d' into your Whirlwind folder and go and open some cans! For SF2 users things are a bit more tricky but you probably know your way around the different file structure by now. BTW the Whirlwind flies really nicely in SF2 but make sure you've got your throttle to zero before you start!

Anyway, many thanks to Veltro2K for this little gem and also to Syrinx for the template and for the serial number decals - to which I've added another two to make a baker's dozen plus I've knocked up some reasonably authentic squadron codes.

    9. Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat, VF-41 'Operation Torch' Skin & Ini Pak

      for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE WW2: MTO Installs

=Version 2.0 - will update and REPLACE the original from 2005=

This package contains a new skin, and some minor data & cockpit ini mods for Pasko's F4F-4 "Wildcat". It is designed to TOTALLY replace the VF-41 version released several years ago.

The skin represents VF-41 "Red Rippers" based aboard USS RANGER during Operation Torch, the Invasion of North Africa (well, actually, we all know it was Morocco and Tunisia, but why quibble???)

This new skin, like the other Wildcat skins I've done recently, is from my home-grown template, with all redrawn panel, rivet and other details. It has been resized to 1024x, so has a bit more detail than the older 512 version. All new decals, of the correct font and size have been created for the Modex and BuNums. The BuNums ARE for -4 Wildcats, but I was unable to acertain WHICH exact numbers were used by VF-41 during Torch. So, consider them as 'generic'; accurate, but generic <grin>

For those that haven't updated their MTO install's F4F-4, all the inis and sounds from the PTO Wildcat Upgrade are included; new data, cockpit and Main ini --so make sure you follow the instructions below!!!
The cockpit ini makes use of a new WW2 N-3 gunsight tga.
Like it's PTO brother, the canopy has been switched to an animation key (shift/0). The wingfold stays the same as originally issued; you use the bomb-bay control key (cntrl/O). As always, all the lights have been updated with accurate running, formation and landing lights. Also, the landing gear retraction sound is now the 'rachet' noise, as heard in the PTO upgrades.
A new WoE-style 'carrier deck' hangar screen, JUST for this mod is included (as it uses the VF41 skin)

As always, it's reccomended you unzip this package to a temp folder or your desktop, or somewhere's else that's easy to find to gain access to the rest of this readme for full, detailed install instructions.

Me, for alot of the skins and decals and some ini reworking and assembling the package, and bottle washing.
More Skins by CrazyHorseB34 (thanks man!)."
And to Geary - for new lines, rivets, repaints, conversions, ini tweaks, a few decals, adding .50 cal painted gun ports to F4U-4, etc...
But, especially to Wrench for all the work he did in putting the original Corsair paks together.
      --------------------------------------------------------------------
I used parts and pieces from Wrench's sf2_kaw_f4u4_cosairs_pak, his sf2_f4u5_corsair_pak, his sf2_kaw_corsairs file and his SF1 f4u4b_pak to get some of these tweaks to work in SF1.

      ---------- Installation Instructions --------------------------
If you have any of these aircraft installed, you must rename or remove them.
INSTALLATION:  Unzip to a folder/place of your choice.  Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the folders into their corresponding folders in your SF1 Korea install. Fly.

If you don't have the correct weapons, look in the many weapons packs available here at CombatAce.

There's a repainted m38_jeep.bmp that the 500lb and 1000lb bomb use as a skin.  If you want to use it, just drop it into your weapons folder and overwrite the old one.
      -----------------------------------------------
I've included a repainted drop tank to match the aircraft skin color.  Installation instructions are in the Weapons folder and in the SF1 Knowledge Base.
