    3. Aermacchi MB-339A for SFP1/WOX

Aermacchi MB 339A Version 2.0 for SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI by ID(io)T Team

      Development and operational history

Aermacchi went on to perform an effective "facelift" on the MB-326 to create the "MB-339", a modernized derivative. The first of two "MB-339X" prototypes performed its initial flight on 12 August 1976, with the second following on 20 May 1977. The first of 107 production "MB-339A" trainers for the AMI performed its initial flight on 20 July 1978, with the type entering service in 1979.
The MB-339 retained substantial commonality with the MB-326, differing mainly in a new forward fuselage with a raised cockpit, and twin ventral fins plus a taller tailfin to compensate for the loss in yaw stability due to the new forward fuselage. The MB-339 also featured updated systems, particularly rocket-boosted SICAMB / Martin Baker Mark 1T-10F ejection seats with "zero zero" (zero speed zero altitude) capability. However, the MB-339 retained the Viper 632-43 engine; Aermacchi had seriously considered replacing it with a more modern and fuel-economical engine, but the Viper was cheap, reliable, and had good performance. The engine was license-built by Piaggio. The MB-339 retained the six stores pylons of the MB-326G. It did not have built-in cannon, but cannon pods, dumb bombs, and rocket launchers were qualified as stores for the light attack role. The MB-339 has been export in Argentina where ten "MB-339AA" were obtained by the Argentine Navy (ARA), with the type operating against the British during the Falklands War in 1982. Other MB-339A users included Dubai (seven), Ghana (four), Malaysia (thirteen MB-339AM), Nigeria (twelve MB-339AN), and Peru (sixteen MB-339AP).

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      The War Trial
Lt Guillermo Owen Crippa, a young Argentine Fleet Air Arm pilot, was tasked as No 2 of an armed patrol from Stanley airfield shortly after sun-up. The other Aermacchi jet trainer became unserviceable, so Crippa launched on his own. Near Jersey Point he spotted a Royal Navy Lynx helicopter, but as he pulled up to dive on it, he also sighted the ‘enemy’ invasion force anchored in San Carlos Water. Crippa broke off, reported his discovery of the British to his controller in Stanley – and then announced his intention to attack.
At low level and high speed he emerged from the radar shadow of Fanning Head, and fired all his podded Zuni rockets at HMS ARGONAUT. Crippa then engaged a RFA stores ship with his 30mm DEFA cannon, and before exiting the combat zone, took notes on the number and types of ship sheltering in San Carlos Water. He was subsequently awarded Argentina’s highest decoration for valour in combat. The British were also given a first taste of the courage and determination that characterizes Argentine military aviators.

    5. Hunter FR10, FR59, Mk73(FR10) and Mk76(FR10) for WOE

This is the WOE version of the Hunter FR.10 SF2 mod by Paulopanz.

These are the exported versions of the Middle East (Abu Dhabi, Iraq, Jordan and Sultanate of Oman)

It uses ThirdWire LODs so it works only with Wings Over Europe install as it is.

It may work with WOI but you have to extract the Hunter cockpit LOD from a WOE install.

    6. Mig Fighter SAAF Mirage F1AZ Fighter/Bomber (SAAF Modified) SFP1

Mig Fighter SAAF Mirage F1AZ hyper-accurate Fighter/Bomber (SAAF Modified) SFP1

      DESCRIPTION:

This download includes a complete SAAF Mirage F1AZ fighter/bomber aircraft based on the Mirage Factory's stunning Mirage F1.- including the aircraft:
      1. SAAF Bush war weapons,
      2. Bush war sand/green Mirage F1AZ skin of No. 1 squadron No. 229
      3. Nigel's later Bush war grey ghost skin,
      4. SAAF two external tank skins of sand/green camo skin and aluminum 5. A dedicated Mirage F1CZ cockpit (the F1AZ and F1CZ have radically different cockpits befitting their dedicated roles and from reality).

It has been continually modified over time as newer equipment came in and older equipment broke down and needed to be replaced.

This was the SAAF's major fighter/bomber in the Angolan Bush War ("border war") in the mid 1980s against Mig-21s and Mig-23s.

The SAAF Mirage F1AZs fought numerous dogfights and at least damaged two Migs (but might have killed some). Rumors persist of other possible air-air victories much deeper into the politically sensive Angolan territory.

      --------------------------------------------------------------------
      INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

Update to the latest version of WOE...or just download a new WOE version and update it to the newest version.

Make sure you have the recent weapons pack downloaded such as Weapons Pack 2.52 named from 2%2e52 combat ace located at http://combatace.com/files/file/7791-weapons-pack-252-by-the-wosfp1-community/

if not download the weapons pack, make a folder named "weapons" in SPF1/Objects/ and add the contents od Weapons Pack 2.52 to it.

      1) Copy and paste the RP35 and RP35a SAAF camo and aluminum external fuel tank skins (which is in the folders) into the SFP1/Objects/Weapons folder...overwrite when asked...you can always go back to the original Pave Penny Pod color by using the original "HTS PODS" folder included in this folder in this folder.

Almost all of the SAAF weapons are named "Bushwar" in some way in the loading screen.

      2) Copy and paste the "HTS-POD" (which is in this download folder) into the SFP1/Objects/Weapons folder...overwrite when asked...you can always go back to the original pod color by using the original HTS POD folder included in this download.

      3) Copy the contents of the weapons.ini file in this folder and paste (many were indigenously made in South Africa) in sequential order at the end of your weapons.ini in SFP1/objects/weapons.

      4) Replace each XXXX with the next number sequentially. IE. if the last number in your weapons.ini before adding the below weapons was [WeaponData1652] then make the next number [WeaponData1653].

      5) With the weapons editor open up the weapons.ini and open the last weapon and save. (The weapons editor is located at Thirdwire at
http:www.thirdwire.com/downloads_tools.htm. You probably need the one made after 2008 version if you have fully updated your sim.

      6) Copy and paste the included whole SAAF Mirage F1 folder into your SFP1/objects/aircraft folder. It should work in all versions of SFP1 such as Wings Over Vietnam, etc.

Tested in WOE (but it may work in other versions as well).

This is a upgrade version of the Su-39 Super Grach(by YEYEYE and 101tfs). It uses decals rather than painting directly on the skins itself therefore you get variable codes for different jets.

Sorry for delay time but, other Designer projects will keep me busy.

The Sea Hawk F.2 is now available. This is a very similar aircraft externally to the late F.1. The only change I made was increasing the max control speed for the ailerons to reflect the hydraulic boost that was added.

      Final notes

This is good for taking out bombers. If you are lucky. Dogfighting fighters in it though, forget it. You will be able to see what the pilots of this aircraft had to go through in case of a war. It was not a ground attack aircraft, it was used for intercepts, high speed recon (if ever) and CAP's over the US and Canada. Good luck, you will need it.

    15. PAF F-7MP Airbolt

      ======================
      PAF F-7MP Airbolt v1.9
      ======================

      A. Installation :

      1. Drop the 'F-7MP Airbolt' folder into your Strike Fighters/Objects/Aircraft, or your
      Wings Over Vietnam/Objects/Aircraft folder.
      2. Open the 'Add To Sounds' folder and copy the four .wav files to either your
Strike Fighters/Sounds, or your Wings Over Vietnam/Sounds folder.
      3. Your copy of Strike Fighters should be patched to SP3.1 standard. Your copy of
Wings Over Vietnam should be patched to Patch 2 standard.
      4. You should also have the latest Weapons Pack ( w/Updates ) installed. Weapons
      Packs are availible at http://www.combatace.com/

      B. Notes :

      1. The Pakistanis began upgrading their F-7P fighters to the F-7MP standard in 1996. It was felt that the
Type 226 Sky Ranger radar/ECCM used by the F-7P was inadaquate given the increasing sophistication of
the Indian Air Force in the 1990s. Principle upgrades were the ability to carry four IRMs and the re-
placing of the Sky Ranger with the Italian Grifo-7 multi-mode radar. ECM was also improved, at the
very least to J-7D standards. Other parts of the upgrade includes GPS, which are not currently modelled
in SFP1/wov. The F-7MP itself is now slowing being replaced by the F-7PG ( based on the far deadlier J-7G
"Flanker Slayer" of the PLAAF ).

      C. Issues :

      1. The F-7MP uses the stock SFP1/WOV MiG-21F model. As such, the canopy has not been animated as the
MiG canopy hinges forward while the Chengdu canopy slides to the rear. The MiG-21F model also has
only two wing pylons while the F-7MP has four. The outer wing ordinance stations are adjusted to ride
snug to the wing underside for this reason. F-7MPs also have the BAE (GEC/Marconi Type 926 HUDWAC), no
F-7 cockpit currently exists in game, so a stock A-4F pit is used.
      2. You will notice that the fins of any IRM selected on the outer pylons will extend above the wing top. This was
done so that other ordinance ( Bombs, Rocket Pods, Fuel Tanks, etc... ) did not appear to be "floating" below the
wing when viewed using F6. Hopefully this will be corrected in the future, either by a dedicated set of outer wing
pylons modded specifically for this purpose or by a whole new model.

      1. All glory goes to Gramps for first modding the MiG-21F into it's Chinese cousins. Gramps has graciously allowed
me to carry the ball forward. The Hangarscreen is by Gramps. As is the PAF 2nd Sqdn Grey Camo skin.

Just drop into your main SF directory.
It will add the plane and the engines sounds right your correct folders.
So when it asks to ovewrite say yes.
It will not overwrite anything you have just the folder names which are the same.

This is a little something I did in my free time. I made a few edits to the
      B-52G to make it resemble a B-52H.
It holds new weapons and makes a great AI bomber
