citizen67 Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Hi everybody, I'm experimenting with head tracking using my iPhone connected via IP to OpenTrack, and since I need to find a unique setting for each plan, I'd like to understand one thing: I noticed that the cockpit, when in the default view [F1], is not always at the same distance. For example, in F-4 or F-14 it's much closer than in F-16 or F/A-18. Is there a way, somewhere in the.ini files, to define the distance of the point of view from the cockpit? Thanks in advance
Wrench Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago it's set in the bird's cockpit ini, afaik. What the numbers ARE actually distance-wise (as in how many meters/cm back from the dashboard) I'm not sure [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=F-15A_pit.LOD Offset=0.0,0.0,0.0 <------------- i think!! this one Position=0.0,6.43,1.06 <---- position relative to aircraft world center ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 MaxYaw=170 MinYaw=-170 MaxPitch=90 MinPitchFront=-45 MinPitchRear=-30 If I'm wrong, hopefuly someone will correct me. 1
citizen67 Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Wow, looks complicated... I was hoping for something like 40cm, 50cm... I'll try to increase the values in the "Offset" line. Let's see what happens... Thanks
Wrench Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago the offset "placement" like all the 3 section locators in this game system It's left/right, front/back, up/down. Forgot to mention that! Sorry!! !!! and it IS all metric, which make it a bit easier for people like me that went to Los Angeles City Schools (shitty at math)
