Wrench Posted Saturday at 10:12 PM Posted Saturday at 10:12 PM Ok, you all are going to laugh at me ... I just discovered Russo's 109F-4s happily residing in the download section. I says to myself "Hey, Kev, you don't have them. Its Russ's stuff, and will replace the old Wolf birds, expecially when one is a Trop, with the correct dust filter you need for Africa!!" So I get them. As expected, they are excellent. But with one weird thing ... not one of the 3 aircraft in the package (and there are some GREAT, too BTW), has a loadout ini, because they don't have any hard points. Like the centerline, for the 300l tank, or even a bomb. So, opinions, please. Should I rig up mount, maybe using the ETC50 rack via fakepilot? or what??? All my books show the F with centerline mounts thanks! The planes are too good to not have them upgraded and/or repaired 4

yakarov79 Posted yesterday at 09:34 AM Posted yesterday at 09:34 AM Isn't that F-2 and F-4 had kits (Rüstsätze) So on F-4 and F-2 R1 - ETC500/IXb for 250kg bomb R2 - 4x ETC50/VIId for 4 - 50kg bombs R3 - kit for an extra 300dm3 fuel tank R7 - 2x MG 151/20 (20mm guns under wings) R8 - photo camera Rb75/30 or Rb50/30.. Generally F-4 had engine - DB601E with VDM 9-1201A propeler and MG151/20. (and 7.92 machineguns). New shape charger intakes and extra protection for the pilot. F-2 had MG151/15 and DB601N engine. 1
Gepard Posted yesterday at 10:50 AM Posted yesterday at 10:50 AM AFAIK the Me-109F-4 had in all subversions the capability to carry a 300 liter tank. But not all subversions were able to carry bombs. 1
Stratos Posted yesterday at 01:11 PM Posted yesterday at 01:11 PM IIRC all the "trops" were converted to use drop tanks. 1
yakarov79 Posted yesterday at 02:14 PM Posted yesterday at 02:14 PM as far as I know, all with proper kit installed - Rüstsätze (R) 1
Wrench Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago this is what I wanted/needed. All my books on the 109 showed F (varying variants) with the ability to carry a tanks. Oddly, the painting I've used for the F loading screen, doesn't have the sway braces showing. So, either not carrying a tank, or never did (see below). Checked the squadron/signal in action books, BOTH Modeler's Data Files (although prt 1 is protypes to E) I know Russ would never make a mistake like that, so his must be right! thanks gents!! 4

Wrench Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago Is that Jimmy Cagney in the cockpit??? (them puppies were built about 20-ish miles from where I'm sitting, over the hill in Burbank. Considering i'm half a mile east of Santa Monica airport, where all kinds of good things were built at Douglas)
