Mannie Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I know nothing about building any mods terrains and so on. I dream of someone making a terrain of Middle earth. (Tolkiens Lord Of The Rings.) It will be a thrill strafing Barad Dur with a GAU-8 and sending Sauron to oblivion. Quote
+Stary Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The funny thing Mannie is I was thinking about something simillar after ROTK. I rally did Quote
Mannie Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 The funny thing Mannie is I was thinking about something simillar after ROTK. I rally did That makes us two. How nice would it be dogfighting a flight of NAZGULs. OOPS . its sounds as if I'm asking for a nazgul mod to, and I'm not. everything I say here is absolutly hypothetic. Quote
Rambler 1-1 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 there'd have to be AAA catapults, and giant crossbow SAMs. Quote
Viggen Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 An you could have Helms Deep become a strategic Target. Zebra Flight Strike. Destroy the Enemy Keep in Helms Deep. Weather: Raining Quote
+Spectre_USA Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 And, for the final quest, flights of Raptors rolling in on Mordor; Quote

JediMaster Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Now we just need a Hobbit-era Smaug... Quote
Longestpants Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Now we just need a Hobbit-era Smaug... The hairy one from the Rankin-Bass cartoon? That would be really fun, though. Can't see how to do the fire breathing, though. Quote

Talos Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Can the Hobbits be flying A-4s? I thought the Shire Air Force bought Kestrals? Quote
the test pilot Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 why don't think about f-37 talon? a fictional aircraft for a fantasy scenario Quote
JediMaster Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Considering Saruman was the only one who knew about gunpowder, I think the concept of jet fuel and aluminum alloys is a little beyond that tech. Quote
Viggen Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Considering Saruman was the only one who knew about gunpowder, I think the concept of jet fuel and aluminum alloys is a little beyond that tech. Shhh! Quote
Mannie Posted February 8, 2008 Author Posted February 8, 2008 Considering Saruman was the only one who knew about gunpowder, I think the concept of jet fuel and aluminum alloys is a little beyond that tech. Since we are taking about hypothesis, remember the movie where USS nimitz is lost in a storm and apears at the same location but at the time of WWII?, and the F-14s blowing ziros from the skys? The same scenario can work here as well don't you think? besides, we've got GANDALF by our side. he can make butterflys turn into eagles. He is a wizard just as powerful as Saruman if not more. Quote
JediMaster Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Well, going back in time 40 years to proven history is a bit different than traveling into a world that never really existed. BTW, The Final Countdown is a great flick, I got it on DVD a couple of years ago when it was rereleased! Quote
HrntFixr Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I was with the Nimitz airwing for 4 years... I got sooooooooo tired of hearing The final countdown theme at every unrep and seeing the movie on ships TV at least twice a week. I love how the A-7 that catches the barricade was a VA-86 bird , yet they pull a VA-82 pilot out of the cockpit. Over all not a bad flick and it's been a <cough> few years since i was onboard, so I can watch it and enjoy it more. Quote
JediMaster Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I would think starting in 86 it was always Faltermeyer's Top Gun theme or Danger Zone. Quote
Viggen Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I would think starting in 86 it was always Faltermeyer's Top Gun theme or Danger Zone. Wouldn't they do that on the Enterprise? Quote
HrntFixr Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I would think starting in 86 it was always Faltermeyer's Top Gun theme or Danger Zone. Nope.... she is proud of her movie! Wouldn't they do that on the Enterprise? LOL in topgun they typed USS Ranger on the screen not Big "E". Quote
