+Julhelm Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 Yep. No use trying to put lipstick on a pig.
+Bongodriver Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Hey Spectre, how the hell did you manage to find a pic of my girlfriend.
Spinners Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Hey Spectre, how the hell did you manage to find a pic of my girlfriend. You cad Sir! That's my wife!
Spinners Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Good luck with this one Julhelm. It looks a big challenge but after your Vigilante and Skyray you're the man for the job.
thundercheif Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 This bird needs some hi viz tomcat schemes. Will templates be available?
+Julhelm Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 Yeah. It's only using a single 2048^2 map so it should be easy to paint a new scheme.
Hans Topp Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Its wonderful, in sitting waiting this honey...
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Looks realy good, can`t wait to fly it.. looks like a edge full bird.. cool shape ;-)
darkjak Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Really cool. I however would like to see this plane a bit more slender.
+Julhelm Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 Well this is how it looks in the official Lockheed-Boeing concept art and in the Flight International drawing...
Viggen Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Is the AFX a smaller version of the NATF meant for ground attack?
+Julhelm Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 Here is the definitive Flight International article on the A/F-X: http://www.flightglobal.com/PDFArchive/Vie...20-%200212.html http://www.flightglobal.com/PDFArchive/Vie...20-%200213.html
fallenphoenix1986 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Interesting, I'd always assumed that given the obvious similarities to both the F-22 and F-14 that this bird had been intended as an F-14 replacement to serve along side the A-12, didnt realise that it was a replacement for the A-12 and therefore ultimatly an A-6 replacement. Atreides Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 (edited) Julhelm, I hope you dont let the rivet counters discourage you from finishing this aircraft. Keep at, always loved the aircrafts you have donated/contributed to the community. BTW, looks fantastic. Edited March 20, 2009 by Atreides
