Fubar512 Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 This ship model will be released as soon as I hear back fromall my beta testers....hopefully within the next hour. It's a Google Sketchup model, from an online freeware collection, that I've ported into the series. The model's tight, has no "holes" in its shadow, and is fairly detailed. Quote
Fubar512 Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Uploaded and available for download: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...;showfile=9503# NOTE: This model will work in either the first, or second generation of TW sims, and requires absolutely no editing to work in either. It may be a bit taxing on low/low-midrange systems. Quote
dsawan Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Nice, Fubar. Any plans to do some cargo ships from that era or troop ships? Quote
+pcpilot Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Man! Nice ship. You even got the bollards! Downloading soon! Thanks Fubar! Can I suggest a Russian DDG next? Lol, finish one ship and we're badgering you for more. One way to look at it is if it wasnt a nice ship, no one would ask for more. Quote
+Julhelm Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Fubar handed that model to me for texturing, but it was such a mess that I elected to remodel it from the ground up, and here she is @ 20k polys: Quote

Fubar512 Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 very small remark, check origin of smoke, it doesn't seem to come out of chemney....;-) He's not either not using the oiler_data.ini (which has the proper min/max points and wake & engine-smoke emitter positions), or, he reset the extants when he exported the model. Exported it into the cargoship folder so I know it'll show up for sure. Quote
+swambast Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Julhelm, that is absolutely beautiful work - I love the guy looking over the railing, really adds to the ambiance. Wonderful work... Quote
Guest Eject Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 (edited) Fubar handed that model to me for texturing, but it was such a mess that I elected to remodel it from the ground up, and here she is @ 20k polys: Red? Very good! Remember tho, never dock at any port(s) in Spain. Thousands of Spaniard bulls may want to grill it! (Red paint, what a gigantic Matador they the bulls may think, IF they cn think. Hahaha..) Me too wanna DL it as soon as it is floating around in the DL section..... Edited December 2, 2009 by Eject Quote
