Whoa...who is she? I think I'm in love.

Anyway, TOP GUN 2:

On July 11, 1996 the United States Navy established an elite school for the top one percent of its pilots. Its purpose was to teach the lost arts of integrated strike warfare and aerial combat and to insure that the handful of men and women who graduated were the best strike fighter pilots in the world.

They succeeded.

Today, the Navy calls it Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center.

The flyers call it:

rotarycrazy has a good idea. Do a Vietnam era Top Gun prequel.

I also like the idea of an older Maverick training new pilots at Nellis. Maybe Iceman's cocky son could snap his teeth at Mav. It might be cool to also have Goose's son as a fighter pilot training under his Dad's old friend. Viper and Jester could be the older guys hanging out in the bar that the young hot shots come in and mess with not knowing who they are. Charlie could still be taking Mav's breath away while he reminisces about inverted dives and target rich environments. Kenny Loggins could score it again and fill the soundtrack with other Righteous Brother classics. I guess I'm a TopGun fan. If done right (not making it a charactiture of itself) it could be a fun, decent nastalgic sequel.

Nicely said Coot :good: I like the idea of Iceman's kid training under MAV; however, I think I like the idea of Goose's son returning to fill in fathers footsteps even better. Jesture and Viper hanging out in a bar getting picked on by the young hot shots is really awesome too!

To Quote 'Don Meridith', Dallas Cowboys Quarterback 60-68. Later co-hosted Monday Night Football, with Howard Cosell. "If, ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a fine Christmas". Now I hate to destroy any childhood dreams, but the average low budget flick today costs $7 Million, staring nobody. Forget the movie houses, straight to DVD. Well we've got the idea . . .several infact . . . alls we need is financers:grin:

Okay so the person with the big wallet needs to do two things

One make the dream happen

And two put me down for a lamborginni (paid in full) for christmas:grin: hey I'll take mercedies too.

Tom Cruise is still feeling the need for speed.

Plans for a sequel to action classic Top Gun are still on the boil, according to Jerry Bruckheimer.

The movie producer offered a swift update on the long-gestating follow-up movie while speaking at the Produced By Conference in Los Angeles over the weekend.

"For 30 years we've been trying to make a sequel and we're not going to stop. We still want to do it with Tom [Cruise] and Paramount are still interested in making it," Deadline quotes Bruckheimer as saying.

"What Tom tells me is that no matter where he goes in the world, people refer to him as Maverick," he added.

I still prefer the porn version. I mean, the non-gay porn version. Best film i´ve ever seen. Along, maybe, with "Blade Runner The Final Cut" and "The Expendables 2"

Hard to make a movie about fighter jets when they are all sitting on the ground.  Might as well drag out a few museum F-14s and MiGs because, right now, they're probably in better shape to fly.

Bye the way, has anyone seen our fearless Tom ( 5'5" 140 ) play Lee Child's Jack Reacher (6'5" 250).  Actually a good movie, but hard to see a squirt playing the part of a real big man.  He does have a lot of prior experience in the role though starting with the subject of this thread several years ago.
