June 2011 Patch and .catExctractor Issue

Recommended Posts

I just reinstalled SF2E and updated it with the June 2011 Patch, and also downloaded the new .cat extractor. However I can't seem to get the new extractor to extract anything from objectdata2.cat I've also tried older extractors but I get an error message saying that objectdata2.cat is not a proper file. I assume all the .lod files are in objectdata2 as I can't seem to find them in any other files. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

ObjectCAT2 has the aircraft LODs in it and TK has locked it away from us. i guess someones been a s**thead with them and so he had to lock them up but no you wont get access to #2.

no it won't

in the past there were examples of those I won't mention here, suspected of converting and selling modified TW meshes

I'd have to agree with everybody else. Once bitten twice shy is the phrase...

We don't need the LOD's but OUT files would be nice grin.gif

Hmmm I had no idea about any of this. I guess it makes sense though if someone was stealing someone else's work

definitely, OUT files would be great for modders. Maybe asking TK very politely could do some good?

one of the reasons to keep pre-June extracted cats on you hard drive ... so one can read the lods with ones hexeditor and (hopefully) find the mesh name.

Or just ask TK/DanW what the mesh name is. That's how I got for the EDA Harrier
