NE106, the only VFA-2 aircraft configured for tanker operations, heads out on patrol in support of Operation Darius. Later in the day VFA-2 aircraft perform combat air patrols in vicinity of Kuwait City.

129th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron MC-130P and HH-60G conduct air-to-air refueling during in-theatre training near Ras Assanya AFB as part of their mission to provide CSAR for Operation Darius.

CAP over the Gulf encountered this aircraft, 75 nm north of al-Quaseem. Aircraft carried no markings, excepting for a white inverted triangle on the aft fuselage. Pilots waved at the intercepting aircraft, and made a slow turn to the east.
