One thing to be aware off with the chaff and flares set up as a weapon that you can load and unload is the AI wingman/ enemy will not use them. It is a game bug. The work around is to have two versions of the plane, one without them and another with them from a certain date. Like Third Wire does with its stock aircraft e.g. 'F-4E' and 'F-4E (75)

I've tried your entries, no luck .. I'm not getting any references in the game to any weapon stations after StationGroupID=5 :(

BTW what is     SpecificStationCode=   supposed to refer to exactly?

Also, in your entry above, how did you arrive at [L-CMDS] as opposed to [Dispenser pod 1], which I'm using?

Darn it!  RavenClaw's let the cat out of the bag!  It was going to be a surprise!:biggrin:  Seriously though Guys, without Volker's help the project would still be in limbo, now it's going to see the light of day for sure! Hopefully before the summer is out.

if you want a special weapon to appear only on specific aircraft you are using specific station code - and in aircraft weaponstation entry should match entry from weapon data ini.

do you have actually entry  [dispenser  pod 1] and [dispenser pod 2]  under any aircraft component ...like:

[Fuselage]

ModelNodeName=Fuselage
ShowFromCockpit=FALSE

......

......

SystemName[001]=............

SystemName[002]=............

........................

........................

SystemName[007]=[dispenser pod 1]
SystemName[008]=[dispenser pod 2]
SystemName[009]=

the CM dispensers are NOT weapons, and therefore do NOT require entries in the /Weapon section of the data ini, and definately don't need a "new" weapon for the /Weapons folder. They are SYSTEMS.

they're system names would go in the Fuselage or Tail section (depending on their eject location. Then you, just have the statements for the CM dispensers. Below, from the stock 3W B-52D as an example:

==dispenser as located on model -

[LeftWing]
ParentComponentName=Fuselage
ModelNodeName=Wing_L
DestroyedNodeName=D1_Wing_L
==
-MAJOR SNIPPAGE-
==
HasVortexEmitter=FALSE
SystemName[001]=LeftFlapInboard
SystemName[002]=LeftWingFuelCell
SystemName[003]=Engine2
SystemName[004]=Decoy1

== decoy dispenser statement -- (usually listed below the weapons station, along with any internal jammers)

[Decoy1]
SystemType=DECOY_DISPENSER
EjectPosition=-11.78,-3.74,-0.04
EjectVelocity=-5.00,0.00,-10.00
NumChaff=120
NumFlare=30

Best examples, extract and study the data inis from the B-52D, A-6A, EA-6B, F-4J, and so forth

You're right Wrench, your approach is definitely easier and more straightforward, but the idea behind using the modeled dispensers as weapons was to have the option of not carrying them (and therefore not having them show up on the model when not selected.

Unfortunately I'm still having a few problems so I may do it your way.  Thanks for your time :)

Sorry people, silly question time .. Does anyone know for sure If the 275 gallon droptanks on the Dutch NF-5a were carried on the inner or outer wing pylons? (or both?)

Thanks, I wouldn't want to make such a foolish mistake as putting the tanks on the wrong pylons....

Afaik no F-5 carried tanks on outer wing pylons. Only Centerline + Inner Wing and Wingtip for F-5A to C.

You're absolutely right Nyghtfall - outboard pylons only for ordinance. Thanks for the reply :):good:

Hello Stratos,

                          she's been 99,9 % finished for nearly 2 years.. it's some tedious detailed texture work on things like wheel wells and ejection seat mechanism etc.. that need to be done; I'm trying to find the time but Real Life is a bitch!!!  I've promised myself to find the time over the summer and get her out to the community.

The RF-5a still needs the nose to be modelled properly (hopefully I or RavenClaw, who has contributed immensely to this product, will take another stab at it..

..and believe it or not, I've even got the F-5B at 75%.

Thanks for your incredible patience all :drinks:

I don´t know if I said this before, but could you find a way to raise the nose for take-off by extending the nose oleo leg? It worked along with the leading edge flaps to increase the AOA.

The leading edge flaps, flaps and the nose gear oleos could work all together when setting the flaps for take-off for example.
