+gerwin 451 Posted July 7, 2012 Stary or Brain32 had a terrain tweak where everything showed up i.e. trees ect. Anyone remember what and where that tweak was? You mean the clipping/popup distance of the terrain objects? For that see This Topic In particular the code snippets below the line: "Also the TOD visibility was actually reduced in SF2 vs SF1!? so I changed it back."
+PureBlue 71 Posted July 7, 2012 Is this what you're looking for Dave? Options.ini: ObjectsFade=FALSE flıghtengine.ini: [unlimitedDetailOption] DetailMeshSize=8 mesh size can be even larger. This is what I use.
+Stary 2,427 Posted July 7, 2012 DetailMeshSize= is the droids you are looking for Dave. Try 10 or 12, can go up to 24 in my case but I don't like low framerates

bras 1 Posted August 24, 2012 Can someone give me a more specific guide to where I can find the DetailMeshSize. I've looked all over in the SF2 folder and can't seem to locate it. I have the game patched to it's latest version. Thanks
Wrench 9,849 Posted August 25, 2012 it's in the *terrain-name*_data.ini

ktickner6767 3 Posted November 16, 2012 Hi guys, I am trying to use the SF2 Korea Terrain (V3) by wrench but, it is saved in a format I am unfamiliar with and cannot open the file. Can someone point me in the right direciton? I would really like to create a Korean War version of Strike Fighters. Thanks!
Wrench 9,849 Posted November 16, 2012 I don't understand the question.... what file are you trying to open? To quote the TV "no user servicable parts inside" the inis are all in ANSI, BUT due to the way it's set up (SF2:NA), it's NOT designed at all for use in 1stGens. Attempting conversion will work, by editing the data ini (information is in the SF2 KB; 'Converting Terrains to SF2" -- follow the instructions (kinda sorta) backwards. But you'll loose everhing I busted my balls building
ktickner6767 3 Posted November 16, 2012 When I save the file.... it is saving in the following manner: Korea3.7z.part This is not a zip file. Should it be? Is there a second part that I am missing perhaps? I'm only using Strike Fighters 2 versions of the game.

It's nothing to do with .7z, but Firefox, when you download a file and it's basically a temp file if you will while you download. The only way to continue the download is to open your download interface and try and restart the download. That way you can resume the download and not have to start from scratch, provided you didn't remove the download from the interface...
