Typhoon 5 Posted December 22, 2012 This has been a forgettable year. In March my Father-in-law passed away June, I had a triple by-pass September, SWMBO was thrown from a horse. Yesterday a sudden gust of wind caused my truck to enter a ditch. I do have a broken bone below my left eye, have to see a facial surgeon next Fri Other than that I am OK. Just a lot of bruising and swelling. About the only thing that didn't happen was the Mayans end of world prophecy. These are pictures of my truck, and me:

Olham 164 Posted December 22, 2012 Damn, Tony, seems faith delivered a sixpack of bad luck to you and yours this year indeed! Good you got away with just a fractured bone. I guess at our age we're not too vain anymore, and the swellings will go away soon. I think, you had so much bad luck, that it should be all used up now - the next years should be much nicer to you. I wish you a good recovery - same for your Lady!

rjw 48 Posted December 23, 2012 Hi Tony; I tend to agree with the other posts. You must have used up all your bad luck by now! I wish you a quick healing. I live in Lindsay so I know what kind of wind you were dealing with on the road that day. I refused to go out because of it. Wish you all the best and take care! DonL 0 Posted December 30, 2012 Any landing that you can walk away from is a good one. I am glad that you walked away with just a little bit of Camel face. How did it go with the facial surgeon? I hope the swmbo is doing well. What does swmbo mean? It has been a rough 2 years around my place and I am hoping that 2013 will be a great year for all! Please keep us posted on your condition. I hope all continues to be well.

RAF_Louvert 101 Posted January 1, 2013 . Wow Typhoon, bad luck in many ways, but you are fortunate to be alive after that wreck. Speedy recovery and better times Sir. .
Typhoon 5 Posted January 9, 2013 Here is an update: The facial surgeon is not going to operate as he thinks that it will heal OK. He did say to try and not sneeze or blow my nose too hard for the next few weeks. I ache, and am sore in places that I didn't know existed. On the plus side the swelling and bruising on my face is just about gone. Just a little bit under my left eye where the broken bone is. I wish to thank everyone's for their concern and best wishes. Before and after pics.
Olham 164 Posted January 9, 2013 The left pic looks like James Bond should be looking after some of his his hairraising stunts (but he always only has minor bruises). But I must say, this went well very quickly, Tony - congrats!
