Hello.

If you have not noticed, I have acted upon an old idea dubbed "Carrier Duels". The general idea is that a Carrier - sometimes with a small escort screen and sometimes without - fights off against another Carrier in an attempt to at least try to be balanced. So far, I have done "Nimitz vs Kitty Hawk" and "Norskehavet vs Kiev".

Aside from constructive criticism on what I can improve, I would like suggestions to new duels. So, shoot. What do you wish to see?

Yea, that is one of the more obvious ones and I am looking into it as we speak. I am not however sure what assets are available for public use; I do "All Included" packages.

Invincible VS 25deMayo, Falkland style :)

+ 1

.... an for something what if historical (quite unbalanced?) Nimitz VS Kiev, Minsk in Iceland waters. You could add some long range bombers (who said Badgers?) on red side too, coming from off map bases .....

Aight, next one will be the biggest "What If" Carrier Duel in History ;-)

Paulopanz has a A-4Q and the Carrier, so all I need now is a S-2F Tracker and a recce A/C for the British Force. Anybody know if the Falklands one can be used for the purpose?

Sorry, mate. No Land bases. The point is that the Carriers are to engage with what they got.

A-4Q???

Saw something on Banidos Team Facebook side.

I think that is the skin from the Argentinean Skyhawk Mod (for SF1) from Diego,

which is no more available for download... :-(

Already got the A-4Q via Paulopanz 25deMayo combined pack. Sea Harrier FRS 1 is also avalible in high resolution.

My main headache is the Recce A/C for each side now. I do really want Trackers for Argentina. For RN; I have to be a little more clever.

Trackers are pretty cool,

but the only one available is from DAT side... :-(

Ah, okey. That settles that. I probably will do as I did with the British; a Squadron of A-4Q provides Naval Recon.

I also decided to include the Super Etendard for the Argentinians; this to counteract the British Sea Eagle Missiles.

Should be done by the end of the day.

I want the fight to be balanced; so do not expect the Kiev to show up all that often. The Kiev is not even a proper carrier; as the Soviets called it - Its a "Aviation Cruiser". That said, I do intend to make one with a French Carrier if I can keep the interest up.

Havn't tried any of yours out yet but this is the sort of thing I do in the MB all the time :)

Trackers are in Falkland pack .... so they are available only inside that mod  or at DAT site.

They have some ugly ropes I asked Capun to cut, but without any success, but I like them.

Nimitz vs Ulyanovsk (or Kuznetsov if we ever see one)? Tomcats & Hornets vs Soviet Navy Flankers & Fulcrums, Intruders vs Soviet Navy Frogfoots, and wasn't there a Soviet Navy Hawkeye copycat in WIP somewhere?

No Graf Zeppelin available. Only a placeholder. Unfortunatly.

But it is a nice idea. The soviets sunk this ship in mid 1945. What if, they would have repaired?

Soviet Navy MiG-17s on the Graf Zeppelin vs US Navy Furies on the Midway
