CombatAce causes Firefox to stop responding

Recommended Posts

Exactly like the title says. Doesn't matter if it's the first site I visit or if it's a new tab. Every page I visit that part of this site causes Firefox to stop responding. It's the only site that does it too. Any ideas? It's getting very, very annoying.

I had the same problem with Chrome. Just wouldn't let me log into CA for nothing.

After days of trying to figure it out I was told by Wrench to "Drop Erik a PM describing the problem."

Fixed the problem instantly...

I just tested with the following versions of Firefox; 15.0.1, 23.0.1, 29.0.1

I had no problems with either of these versions. Check that flash is updated for your version of Firefox and your security settings allow general web browsing behavior, ie except cookies. reset to default if necessary.

Let us know.

Thanks.

That's because you're not thinking in Russian.

Oh wait, wrong Firefox...

Still encountering this issue. It's why I haven't visited or been active here for so long.

I would try the following. Uninstalling firefox and flash player. Reboot. Install Firefox. Install flash player. Check if resolved. There's no reason this shouldn't be working for you. More than half of our users are on Firefox.

Using firefox with no problems here either. There are days when it does get a bit laggy here but that's because its something on my end. i.e I clear the cookies and history and everything runs along smoothly.

Ok, so I did as you said Erik. CombatAce is running smoother now, at least upon first observation. There's still a little bit of lag, but it doesn't lock up my computer like it did before.
