Try Placing them in Your "ISREALME_TARGETS.ini"........

I didnt see an IsraelME_Targets.ini. Your IsraelME_Types.ini looks goo.

 

For the objects to work they have to be added by hand into the terrain_target.ini file, meaning you have to choose which airfield you want to add these items to.

Thanks for the Christmas present! I got them to work just fine as long as they were in the main terrain folder, they didnt show if left in each indivual sub folder.

 

Check out the 84S object, its size in-game seems more like a Mk83 1000lb when compared side by side with the 84L object ?

       Indeed, I'll take a look at them. They are some of My oldest Files. Nearly 10 Years old. A odd File might of creeped in there somewhere.....

 

  I'll Update the File with a fix soon.....

when I say "the entirety", that all the stuff for the terrain object (lods, bmps, jpgs, tga, inis) is basicly just dumped into the terrain folder. Look any any of mine and you'll see what I mean

          That may be in Fact, How it's always been done. And in fact, That's how Mue's Tool Placement may see the File Structure to see Ground Objects. Maybe that's because how Mue was told that's how the File Structure should be.........But Bear with Me Here....Think about what I'm advocating here and showing You here.........

But Your correct Wrench, In order to have them show the way Yall' (The Community )needs them is the way You just stated (Done the "Ole' School Way")......Yall' tell Me if I'm off base here.

 

 

In other Words, Ground Objects are "Plug N' Play" like Weapons, Pilots, Decals.....ect.

Ok, thank you guys, I have understood what I were doing wrong... In fact, I guess I need to test placement of each object, one by one, using Mue's Target Area Editor, right?

 

Indeed, it was a stupid idea to believe that all objects will appear "automaticaly" at the good place.

Mobile "GroundObjects" are still handled via the GroundObjects Folder with the Entry in the Terrain_Types.ini as so........

A "Static" Ground Object pertains to the Terrain itself. So, Yes, They reside in the "Terrain" Folder. But check this out.....

 

Let's take a look at how the Game sees it'.....

Agreed that's "Default"          As if You played the Game and You never Modded a thing......

 

 

                                                              C:/MOD Folder/Terrains/VietnamSEA ( Folder )    ---- Game reads this as "Other Than Default"  "Modded" or  "Addition to Default" "Added MOD"

 

Now check this out

 

                                                              C:/MOD Folder/Terrains/VietnamSEA/USTruck(Folder)  -----Game reads this as "Other than Default" "Modded

 

 

   

                                                                                                                       ​OR

 

                                                              C:/MOD Folder/Terrains/VietnamSEA/AirStartUnit_01(Folder)  ------ Game  reads this as "Addition to Default" "Added MOD"

 

 

So, The Game Engine say's, Hey! I've got a Modded Targets.INI and a Modded Types.INI in a Modded Terrrains Folder. It'll look fist for Folders that are "Additions to Default"  FOLDERS first then "Additions to Default" FILES in the VietnamSEA FOLDER Next. Then "Other than Default" Folders then........"Other than Default" FILES in the VietnamSEA FOLDER.

 

 

It's SF2's way of handling Terrains and Terrain Objects.

Gents, I'm confused - using folders to keep things neat and organized within the terrain folder has been around for a long time in SF2 and I certainly assumed was a best practice (e.g., also how our entire WTR project is structured). 

So I'm not following - are you saying you are just now figuring this out or am I completely missing the point of this post...  :blink:

Yes....That's all I'm saying.

 

 

They'll show that way in Game. Nice and Clean. Just not in Mue's Tool.

 

Try it both ways in Game and Mue's tool, and You'll see what I mean.....

when they're "loose", Mues tool reads them; prolly because it's only on the '1st step', and not one down.

Bump on russouk2004 and Veltro2k....Some drop in mods would be really cool!!! The current object packs with drop in config files for Stock or other custom terrains...

      Hello! Im creating a custom campaign on ECUADOR-NSA fantastic terrain, inspired on the81' incident between Ecuador and Peru but moved up to a bigger-scale war 
      So, the basics are there, every unit of the two countries, their bases and their characteristics, the aircraft etc. That is ok
      The in game menu too, campaign is choosable, it creates and both sides with their respective squadroons can be choosen. The campaign starts but here comes the problems
      1) In the ecuador side everything works well until the mission is finished= Crash to desktop
      2) On the Peru side, its worse: No matter what unit of what home base you choose, you always start in the middle of nowhere, only blue sky at sight and the game becomes unresponsive, only way out is the desktop. If i look before launching the mission on the map what is odd is this: No matter what unit and whith its home base you choose, the game appears to duplicate it and launch you at the bottom of the map in the middle of the sea
      idk where the problem could be, i copied desert duel's campaign "base" (air offensives, generic targets etc) because i couldnt find much knowledge about this part. 
      If somebody has a clue, let me know, thank you in advance!

      View File This is a full IcelandNA Terrain in Standar Resolution like the other origninal sceneries, to replace the original High resolution StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic IcelandNA, with all airbases structures and targets, as far i test it.
       
      For this mod i used:
      Baltika Iceland02 Full-scale Terrain v1.0
      (as base file for the replacement file)
       
      Third Wire Desert and Germany Original Terrains
      (as complement of Baltika Iceland02 Full-scale Terrain v1.0)
       
      Third Wire Strike Fighters 2 Extractor
      (To extract the necessary files)
       
      Canadair .Cat Pack Creator
      (To Create the File)
      I used Baltika Iceland02 Full-scale Terrain v1.0, then i extract desert and germany terrain files and use the texture files as complement for Iceland02 Full-scale Terrain and then re pack it to make a replace file insted of the high definition North Atlantic Terrain.
      is not an original file it is a remade file
