ya know, theres a scene in the movie  Afterburn, where Laura Dern is reminding her Viper pilot hubby that his F-16 wont go as fast or pull as many Gs when its loaded up with ordinance and gas

@Nightshade/PR's Viper posts often remind me of that scene, but damn if i can find it on Youtube then again, i can assure you i dont look like Laura Dern, so maybe why he dont listen to me

Pfft a combat landing in a C-17 wasn't as bad as a night combat landing in a C-130 in Iraq, so yeah it was an experience, imagine not seeing shit and praying you land safely at night when all you do is toss and turn.

oh the Herk was the definitive experience for landing for sure. got my first one in in 99 when it was still the Sarajevo drop rather than "combat landing"

but take offs..... the Herk said "i think i can i think i can" when loaded with joes and cargo.

the Moose on the otherhand did a great rocketship impression and made you think the pilots wanted to get out of there

Lol I'm running out of screenies to post and recycle.

Anyway I took off with the C-130 but it was in Kuwait, so it wasn't anything to worry about really, so I wasn't concerned. The aforementioned landing though... yeah. Anyway I missed Bosnia and Kosovo despite the numerous trainups, so I never got to experience anything else like it.

I won't comment on the "eternal friends" thing here, I think the ridicule itself is not from an objective perspective, but... I don't know, maybe simply pride.

Besides Su-57, I can see a lot of discussions about "under electronic warfare conditions, both the J-10 and J-11 can easily destroy the F-22 fleet", etc. To me, this is complete nonsense, but if someone refutes it, they will "become"  "traitor". They are not laughing at "friends", but they are just looking down on everyone. We can see that the mysterious east has indeed been advancing at an astonishing speed in the past 10 more years, there are many surprising achievements, she is strong indeed, so much so that a few people have forgotten that objective facts need to be viewed objectively.

I mean, many comments are not based on objective facts, but on positions, it's not fair, and most of them are just kids, we don’t need to pay too much attention to them.
