Interesting idea. They would require quite level terrain to look right. It might be possible to make the "zero point" above the actual base of the model so the model sinks into the ground a bit. I think that's been done before for some FE buildings so they sink into the ground a bit, for use on slopes.

You're absolutely correct that is what I was working on the last 30 minutes.

Very good work, in the Malvinas field, I put giant structures like the peninsula and the mountain range that surrounded the alley of the pumps.img02730.thumb.JPG.da6e42f37461e4403d5c09faa6a0424e.JPGimg02737.thumb.JPG.ebb62e57f8e6a7e249702e9db4026b3d.JPG

I'm testing them, or at least I try it.

I added the rocks onto the types.ini of the terrain, I placed them using the Target Editor, and I can see them on that program, but when I fire the game the rocks are not there. It happened with other objects before, but not always, anyone know how to cure that please?

Cliffs for coastlines or the white rocks of Dover would be nice.

i have no idea if this is even possible but what about some large generic gently sloped 'riverbanks" so that bridges would look less like stunt ramps?

bridges need to be placed on flat ground or they don't line up (see my original ASW Texas/Mexico terrain along the Rio Grande. Seriously messed up bridges)

Adding objects like this isn't new -- Russ experimented with it in the 1stGen series, and my WW2 Hawaii terrain sports a Ford Island that's a single piece lod (courtesy of Geezer). It's a great way to add specific types of objects.

my suggestion would be to keep the poly count as low as possible, IF even possible!

Wow! We could build Monument Valley. All we'd need is John Wayne & cavalry figures!!
