I'd like to think that soon after they took off, someone happily mowed that patch of grass. It looks to me they like to keep their field looking good.

The Kamov-26 was always underpowered. To fly this helicopter it was neccessary to push the engines to their limits. There was no power reserve for emergencies. IIRC there was a Ka-126 with gasturbines, which was a much better helicopter.

After it's had a full track and balance, drain and flush, lube, and torque checks completed, sure.
