I've already uninstalled and reinstalled a lot, and the problem still goes on. I have no clues as to why it doesn't work on your end. The installer queries Windows' registry keys to read the path of your SF2 installation (in particular it looks for the InstallLocation key, check image below). Once the path has been retrieved, the installer then looks for the stock game files in the game's folders, if one of the required .CAT archives is missing it cannot proceed with proper installation. EDIT: Actually, on a closer look to your screenshot, it seems you do not have Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic. I'm afraid that's one of the required games and you're missing it, the download page clearly states which games are required by the mod.
kekosam Posted February 17 Posted February 17 My bad. Too many unisntall and reinstall that I forgot North Atlantic on the last one. The problem was on my register. The installer didn't create the keys. I incert it manually and now works fine. Thanks a lot for the help. Now I'll enjoy the mod!!!!!
kekosam Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Good evening. I have a question. The MiG-23s, armed with Apex, don't have a radar screen, making it impossible to use the SARH version. Is this correct?

As yakarov79 said, it's projected on the HUD, but apparently due to a typo of my tweaks in the cockpit.ini files it doesn't show up. This is a fix until a new version of the mod is eventually uploaded, unpack and replace the original files inside the ODS30AE mod folder:MiG23_Pit_Fixes.zip The typo has been fixed for all MiG-23 variants, but the radar should only show up in the MF and MLA variants. 3

mono27 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) Hello. Just a question. I donwloaded the mod files, unzipped them and mounted the image. But when I click the installer I get a window error "shellexecuteex code 2" and it doesn't open. I tried run as administrator, compatilbilty with other Windows (I use Windows 11 now) but nothing happens. Any help to install this, please? I have the complete SF2 package installed and working but I cannot start the installer for this mod. NEVERMIND. I found the solution by copying the content from the mounted image to a normal folder. Then it works. I hope this helps to anybody else having this issue. Thanks for this awesome mod! Edited March 19 by mono27 1 1
dfhdfhn Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Mod crashed when i start new campaign. What could it be?What could it be?

Turn your settings down for sound, graphics, and effects and then reload the campaign. Likely you're overloading your machine but with your description it could be anything including the density of the watermelon sitting on your counter. 4
BigChonky Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Any reason why the auto pilot after mission complete doesn’t work? It’ll show the animation and then camera view shows random AI aircraft. i can still hit “escape” and complete the mission but it would be nice to land lol.

Autopilot works just fine, you're likely flying for one of the units based in airfields far from the game's playable world, as such you won't be able to land on such places. If you like to land, select a unit which is based in airfields closer to Iraq. You can only land in the airfields shown in the planning map screen, anything else outside of it only exists as AI-only off map airbases. 2 1
AlexMac Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Hi all, On unzipping the iso files I'm getting the following error: ODS_30AE.zip Unexpected end of data -------------------------------- CRC failed : ODS_30AE.ISO The download has been completed successfully before unzipping. Any ideas? Many thanks
Erik Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Please read the instructions. You don't unzip the .iso files, it can be mounted directly or written to a CD.

Any ideas? You must download all 4 zip files (.001, .002, .003, .004) and then unzip the .001 part while keeping the other three in the same directory. If all 4 zip parts have been downloaded correctly and fully and you still have errors, it means you have to update your unzipping software, I suggest using the latest available version of 7-Zip.

Uzabit Posted Tuesday at 09:48 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:48 PM (edited) Is anyone else having an issue where the RWR display on the F-14A (not the A+ version) provides no visual feedback? I checked the F-14A_AVIONICS.INI, and it appears that there should be a compass-style display showing vectors toward detected threat sources. This vector display works correctly on the F-14A included in The Mirage Factory's F-14 Tomcat Super Pack in a standard Strike Fighters 2 installation. Since the configurations are very similar, I assume it is intended to work the same way in Operation: Desert Storm. My Operation: Desert Storm installation is completely vanilla, with no additional mods installed. Edited Tuesday at 09:53 PM by Uzabit
Wrench Posted Tuesday at 10:50 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:50 PM the F-14A-avionics ini is only part of SF2 North Atlantic. You MUST have NA as part of your merged install.
Uzabit Posted Tuesday at 10:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:57 PM (edited) I do have a full merged Sf2 Installation including Sf2 NA... Edited Tuesday at 11:07 PM by Uzabit

Nope, the ODS 30AE mod doesn't use the F-14A from North Atlantic, it uses the TMF ones which are better and more period correct, so SF2 NA is required for the avionics' DLL but not for the INI data. 22 hours ago, Uzabit said: Is anyone else having an issue where the RWR display on the F-14A (not the A+ version) provides no visual feedback? It may be a bug, thanks for reporting, I'll look into it when possible. EDIT: it was a nasty one to figure out, the RWR textures for the cockpit apparently lost their alpha channels; just unpack the following inside Objects\Aircraft\F-14A\Cockpit and it'll work: F-14A_RWR_hotfix.zip 2

Strangely, the file download doesn't seem to work. It shows me "unavailable" when hovering over the link. Can you please check?
Wrench Posted Wednesday at 05:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:27 PM Rob, I just checked the link, and it says 'unavailble' for me too!

Odd, it seems to work just fine, I downloaded it on my end. @Erik any ideas on what is going on with the above attachment? 1
Erik Posted Wednesday at 08:30 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:30 PM I looked at it earlier and fixed it. I tried to figure out how you attached it and from what I can tell you did the normal attachment process but for some reason the file didn't attach to the forum post. I didn't see any errors so I reattached the file to the post and it worked like it should. If you go to your attachments do you see that file as being attached to this forum post like it should be? All I can think of is the file didn't finish uploading before you hit send on the post reply. If you attached the file differently than using the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files... " let me know and I can look into that as well. 1
