That cockpit's 3d modeling and texturing style... it reminds me a lot of cockpits created by YEYEYE, maybe it's from him? I don't know. No idea where this Su-24 model comes from, I'd be happy to know if it's something legit that we can use.

the cockpit is YEYEYE,I know, but the plane mod i don't know

some one shared me that file in 2016, but I find that lod is 2007, in CA mod, the lod is 200964b355d0b7853_QQ20230716102637.png.0a6d9d710fbb9cd5395cc31639bc31aa.png

this may be the lod from the whatif section su-24, check it out, it is not the same as the cold war section.

Cockpit is from the full Su-24 pit set from YEYEYE.

I remember YEYEYE had a personal website, I recall I downloaded incomplete Su-47 and X-32 models for Strike Fighters from it. I don't recall anything about a Su-24 cockpit, I'm surprised it found its way somehow without a public release.

If the plane and cockpit can be released with due credits to the authors, I'd be happy to include this new Su-24 in the ODS 30AE mod as a flyable aircraft.

I'm pretty sure Jimbib is right, it looks like our old Mirage Factory model........I'd have to check the max file.....where ever that is.

I remember YEYEYE told me that someone want to make a new Su-24 mod, so he made this cockpit, but someone isn't finished the su-24 mod, so he share this cockpit to us,but he didn't share that to ather people

The creators are not all missing though? There are still quite a few of us around who were in The Mirage Factory, in my earlier post I said I intend to check the source files I have (.max, templates etc.) when I get back home and then will reassess from there.

A dedicated Su-24 cockpit?

:yikes:

Share it guys! It's a crime to keep this beauty away from the people.

I also already see lots of typos in the labels, may fix them for release

I have other pits in the work for the time, but they will wait

While we're at it, I have a question.

I noticed that ODS has a dedicated MiG-25 cockpit which is not available for separate download.

I took a gander at it, found some things that warrant fixing.

For a time, it's for my personal use. But if you/creators don't mind, I can upload the fixed version after I finish it. Or pass it to you for ODS update

I dropped YEYEYE the message... but his profile says that he wasn't around for two years.

If anyone knows his e-mail one can send him a message too

That's much appreciated, I like when things are improved even more. The author of the cockpit should be Centurion-1, he hasn't been around in a long while. With due credits to all modders involved, I think it could be released as standalone.

yeah just give Matt due credit

i was on the A-37 team with hime back in 14-15 before he dropped off the face of the earth. he's doing ok now but still isnt personally active online at all

about 6 months after he last added to the A-37 i got with the others and packaged what we had to release. so that would be a start of precedent with Centurions work

@simonmiller416 I see you have decided to upload this mod for some reason despite a) it not being your mod and b) you made no effort to credit the authors despite me stating who they were in this very thread and that we are very much still around on the forums.

@FLOGGER23 this appears to be the Su-24 mod you guys in the Sukhoi team have been working on that I originally passed over from The Mirage Factory, are you guys cool with this? I can see the huge amount of painstaking work you had put into this in the stickied 'Sukhois' thread:

I suggest if this mod is not ready for release that it is removed until the authors of the mod are happy with it.

EDIT: I have just compared the .OUT files from what you have uploaded and my original source files, they are the exact same with the same poly count, file size and file date and not the since-developed version from FLOGGER23 and the sukhoi team. I can only imagine you received a copy of this mod privately in good faith and to not share it any further, but there is a reason it has not been uploaded by a member of The Mirage Factory yet and that is because it is still work in progress and not yet ready for release.

Please remove this file at this point in time, if and when it is ready it will be uploaded here by the authors.

@Jimbib at this point I am the only one working on it (interesting how you got the pit from YEYEYE as this was a personal request and it was his last CA job)...

That being said, I will continue my own set of Fencers as part of a re-vamp of the red plane series, the plane is crude at best (no offense) that needs more details, and the WIPs I have, haven't given me a chance to work on.

If all agree to it and for fun matters, you may keep it.

"Damage" is done already, hahahahahahahahahaha

What you guys say?

You, impatient guys, want a full mod of this? I have the 3 or 4 different pits YEYEYE made for me, and most info to make them all but the newer versions and the ECM variant...

As I am at work now, I may share what I have, the plane is full of tricks, landing gears are a nightmare to model, animations must be considered, as well as poly counts.

Will post some pics and BEWARE, the plane is CRUDE AT BEST...

Aye, Sir, you gave it to me anyways, fair enough ;)

View File [Fictional] Sukhoi Su-24P 'Fencer' for SF2
Sukhoi Su-24P for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of Veltro2K's Su-24 'Fencer' to create a fictional Su-24P in service with the Republic of Paran Air Force in the 1980-2020 timeline.
Please note that this Su-24P is released 'as is' (in response to a request) and it really needs some additional work on loadouts and the skin. In addition, the 3D model unfortunately has some 'rope' issues so you might want to turn shadows off.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Su-24P folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Su-24P folder into your Decals folder.
      3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the PTB-3000P folder into your Weapons folder.
      That's it!

      CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Special thanks to Veltro2K for bringing so many cool aircraft to Strike Fighters including this one.
And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

Thought it was time for me to start a forum thread on my Nihon Hitori 2020 campaign to update all on my progress.  Learned a lot so far as to the SF2 engine, much more to learn.  Also wanted to start a forum thread to explain my creative process and keep folks abreast of developments plus pose questions.
Now the pretext of "Nihon Hitori 2020" (Japan Alone 2020 in Japanese) is a mid 2/2020 campaign where the 201 & 203 JASDF Squadrons of F-15Js hold the line against a red tide of Flankers attacking Japanese ships & Hokkaido airports until JASDF reinforcements arrive to start shoving the Russians off of the Kurils as payback... and then a few F-35As help F-2A reinforcements kick a** ending with an explosive air-sea battle against a Russian surface task force.  All within 24 hours, so the JMSDF emergency task force is racing up at 30 knots to have some AEGIS & aircraft-carrying destroyers formate with some older "escort destroyers" out of Ominato base and then sortie together to North Hokkaido from their Honshu bases while the shooting war only intensifies.  All without overt US assistance as the current US President is more than likely to tell Japan they're on their own - he's already shown a clear misunderstanding at best of his responsibilities as Commander-in-Chief, a clear contempt for NATO, a deep empathy for Russian President Vladimir Putin, there's some open contempt between the current Japanese Prime Minister & the US President as a previous mentorship seems to have fallen apart, and the current US President even openly thinks, "If the United States keeps on … its current path of weakness, [Japan is] going to want to have [nuclear weapons] anyway with or without me discussing it."
With that backstory, here's how the first mission is going to likely go:

There's still some things that need to be firmed up, but this is the general idea for mission 01.  Using WikiPedia for Order of Battle/ORBAT unless tipped off for a better source so Sukhoi Flanker plane color schemes and variants can and will change.
When the second mission in sequence is firmed up and the third & fourth one (one of which will have JASDF F-35A), will announce that here also.
Please follow this topic and ask me any questions or requests you got.  Goal is to drop this mission pak on or before 25 March 2019 - my birthday!
