Win 11 -- where are my folders ?

Recommended Posts

On my new machine,  just ran the install for the 'all is everything SF2 exe", and found the ThirdWire/SF2/ in the /Documents folder -- but where is everything else?? The only thing inside, was a /Screenshot sub-folder. Is this a case it's totally clean and everything has to be added? It's been 20+ years since I started, so I may have forgetted a few things ....

(overall, the machine is nice, but I'm really NOT liking the widescreen monitor. Can't find a rez that suits my fucked up eye(s). And gotta turn the damn internal lights off, too. OTH, I did manage to save a few buck by partly disassembling the computer desk)

did you look for eye relief features?  the three white frame screens in my FB post have a few things that are supposed to help the eyes out. low blue light, low flicker, and "eye ergo tech". the little one on top is a legacy monitor that i've had for 9 years

off course, not using the screen primarily for pron also helps the eyes :rofl:

for all others, hopefully tOK will have a new rig show off end of week (knock on wood FedEx dont funk it up)

I FINALLY found the mod folders -- did a smart thing for once. Opened the shortcut, and looks in Properties for the pathway. Got so used to having the mod folders ABOVED the /C, I didn't think to look there. Now, just have to run the installer for all them, THEN yank the HD out of the old machine, and use that very cool adapter kit, and transfer all the bits and pieces over. That's gonna take days!! Then, but the HD back in the old machine, and carry on.

The eye stuff, is well, a nightmare. Y'all know the right one has had issues since 2013, when my cornea "delaminated" (cell layer seperation),  Long story short, there's damage to optic nerve, loosing 30% of the field. They can't do a refraction (measuring visiion) because the distortions of the corneal surface (even after multiple surgeries) . Without the Prose Scaleral contacts (they sit on the white of the eye, not on the cornea as normal ones do) that right eye is just along for the ride. I can see with it, but it 's like an unfocused camera.

@Wrench,

Not to distract from your last post, but...

Wow that computer desk in your photo looks to be the same one I had back in the late 1980's. (Minus the condition of course) :)

those adapters are pretty cool :good:

shouldnt need saying, but transfer your stuff in bits and pieces, not one whole mass. that way when something screws up, its just that one batch instead of 20 years worth of stuff...

Something that might help with readability could be the "Scale" entry (right click on Desktop -> "Display settings").

That way you can run higher resolutions with text that can still be (more or less) readable...
