  1. Hi Jonathan, I hadn't played or modded SF2 since the updated Falklands Campaign came out...a year ago? I patched my game up to the latest patch, yesterday and downloaded the Scandinavian Front Campaigns. (I wanted to fly the Lansen, it looks so pretty!) I got very exited (thanks so much!) and opened my old pilot templates to put together some skins... Here are a couple of Swedish and a Danish pilot. (WIP - Swedish helmets and masks have not implemented yet). Would you be interested?
  2. Nor the planes he built his reputation on, I must add... (Albatros D.III, D.V)
  3. No excuse, I'm afraid...
  4. Not funny at all... I posted comparative pictures over there, so everyone can judge that ridiculous claim...
  5. Thanks I'll give it a try...
  6. I took her once for a spin, but the wing was so blocking my view, that I never did it again... Very nice detailed cockpit, though! Very nice D.V Olham! I know the progress of those skins from the inside so... If I may, Jasta 12 planes had their black tail area expanded some more to the front fuselage, engulfing the side cross and the rudders were painted too, but it's a personal scheme anyway...
  7. Thanks, Baxter I'm trying my best for my favourite plane... Apparently, I've discovered an error in my RoF D.V hack. I had those bottom wing access hatches eliminated from the D.V, assuming that they were aileron cable inspection hatches... but a magnification of Theodore Rumpel's Jasta 16b machine, revealed that the hatches were actually present and painted sky blue like the rest of the lower wing. Don't you see them too? I have to restore them back...
  8. The siege sequence in Kurosawa's Ran is a real masterpiece! One film I like and I haven't seen it mentioned too is: "The Duellists", by Ridley Scott.
  9. I wonder if anyone is ever here... I'll post some screens by DiFiS using his excellent new tool, anyway Wallpaper generator!
  10. :clapping:
  11. Check this out: http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=278&t=27944 What DiFiS wrote using Google translator describing his little tool:
  12. Indeed, here is a famous photo of Jasta 11 at Rocourt, taken somewhere between the 20th and the 25th of April 1917. There is no indication of leaves on the trees whatsoever, even if it was taken technically in spring...
  13. I had the same problem with you, at first... You'll get used to the feeling after some time. When I went back to RoF after a long period of only OFF flying, I felt more useless than the day I tried the demo for the first time! May be the FMs and Physics in OFF not being so complex as RoF's ones, but IMO are more well balanced, in their given environment. (in RoF some planes are over performing and some the opposite).
  14. Some time ago I started working on some skins for my favorite WWI plane: The Albatros D.V! (You may visit my Jasta 37 WiP thread in SimHQ for further details) http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3401789/My_first_WiP_skins_Jasta_37_Al.html#Post3401789 From the template created, I tried to make some new generic default skins for the D.Va in RoF, in order to address many mistakes the current defaults have. One thing led to another and now I'm in the making of a brand new "Johannisthal Mod", for the D.V-D.Va (and not only) like the one we created with Graf and JFM for the D.III. I've been studying to death old pics and contemporary research essays, about the hue of the colours used originally and tried to best adapt all these into RoF's world... I have to say I feel pretty pleased with my results... :) This Mod using a new, modified "universal" normal map, will give as accurate as possible, (within RoF's 3d model's limitations), external models for practically any D.V-D.Va variant. (the FM will remain the same, only the looks will vary). Here are samples of what I have so far: Albatros D.V camo Albatros D.V lozenge Albatros D.V hack details Albatros D.Va camo Albatros D.Va lozenge Edited normal map underside detail on D.Va For further details of how this project evolved and some more pics you may visit my SimHQ thread: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3512081/Albatros_D_V_D_Va_Johannisthal.html#Post3512081 Your comments, objections, corrections are always welcome...
  15. I agree with Olham about the use of OFF as a brand name. I like Hellshade's idea, but RoF already uses "The First Great Air War" as subtitle, which is too close I'm afraid...
