  1. Thanks a lot guys! I confirm Walter Boning and Jasta 76b. I had this clearer pic from Wingnut Wings: The city arms of Munchen seems most probable for a Bavarian Jasta.. . Still much artistic licence must have been taken, as the man doesn't look like a monk to me at all... When I first saw it I thought he was wearing a fez... I wish I had a better pic of this...It's a most interesting paint scheme!
  2. I accidentally stumbled on a pic of a couple of dismantled Albatros D.Va-s, at TVAL site. The artwork on the fuselage band of the left one came as a surprise to me... It seems to me like a man from the Orient (Ali Baba?)...or I'm terribly wrong? How about the diagonal bands? Could they be red and blue? Is there any piece of info available on that D.Va? The other plane seems to be a Jasta 1 machine?
  3. Here is my contribution on WWI French Military Aviation:
  4. I was a regular at Sim Outhouse (looking for CFS2 Mods) when I first saw a video of an upcoming Mod for CFS3 called OFF. Being kind of disappointed by CFS3 though, I forgot everything about OFF and it's development... I got involved with IL-2 and left SiM Outhouse since. After many years playing and modding IL-2, I wanted something for a change and got into SF2. Following their unofficial Modding Forums here at CA, I rediscovered OFF...
  5. What Panama Red said is right. If you have JSGME installed in OBD Software folder, you have to add a 'CFSWW1 Over Flanders fields' folder to the Mods folder sequence.... in the case of my Mod: Tracers elephant/CFSWW1 Over Flanders fields/effects The same with other Mods check always the folder sequence. Pretty easy, huh?
  6. Well, my Mod and I believe Creaghorn's too, were optimised to be used with JSGME installed in CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder and not in the OBD Software. The new folder structure was introduced by the Mod Bundles...
  7. I had noticed that when I first used the bundled Mods... I too have JSGME installed in my CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields and realised that when I saw the generation of a Lone Wolf Mission while I had enabled a Bandy's mission Mod. So I changed the folder structure manually. (I forgot to report it though... ) It wouldn't be so difficult to add one more folder in HPW Mods in order to work with OFFice as well...
  8. That's pretty close... but I don't think so...
  9. Well, it took OFF BHaH, 10 preview movies till final release... We've seen 2 preview movies of WOFF, go figure...
  10. I'm a Great fan and collector of HPW's Mods! Been waiting for this... Unfortunately I've got some kind of flew and I'm not able to test yet...
  11. The weather is awful this year! If everything else was OK... You were just unlucky, normally this time of year is IMO the best for vacation in the Islands. In mid summer the heat and humidity and in August the winds are sometimes unbearable... especially in the Aegean Islands though, not the Ionian you've visited. If you went in Cephalonia by boat you must have visited my hometown Patras, (the port). My house is just opposite Gate 1 of the old harbour, 500m from the dock of the Cephalonia ferry. My grandfathers village is of the mountainous ones: Komitata. I spent the whole season from May to October '07 in Cephalonia, restoring the wall paintings of a chapel near Agia Efemia. I went for swimming to Myrtos every day!
  12. Hey Wayfarer, where did you go to to Cephalonia? It's my grandfathers village there...my origins.
  13. This is a great new feature, I would say legendary, Lothar... I'm afraid though, with the current AI the casualties figures may be unrealistically high...
  14. Thanks, Olham! Dr. House is over after 8 seasons... Sherlock's trailer looks thrilling! I'll check it out ASAP...
  15. I've done the WOOF mistake before, huh? From what we've seen tent lighting looks possible... Would be nice to have, although not of primal priority...
  16. Thanks, any news about the new AI Weight Mod, compatible with the latest FM?
  17. I came to OFF from RoF too, corsair and at first, I was really frustrated from OFF's limited options in screenshot taking. Also with the constant kind of 'fisheye' wide camera lens, which prevents close ups, without significant distortion at the screen edges! I usually use Chase view for my screenshots, I find the view a bit less lens distorted. As Olham suggested I pause the game, cycle through views, rotate using my stick's hat switch and when I find the desired pose, I take the shot via Fraps. Anyway, close ups is not OFF's strong point, the environment and feeling are, so... BTW, you are doing fine job with your screenshots, man! In that Albatros shot you've captured so well the planes' very soul... The wooden fuselage looks so great I could smell the varnish...
  18. I think Hasse is right. BTW, I'm using the new FM in my new RNAS 8 Campaign without any of the preparations for aces skins to show up, as I thought there were no RNAS 8 aces skins for the N17, but I was wrong! "Flying along side Edward Duncan Crundall" I have to further investigate this... Anyway, waiting for the AI Weight compatible with the new FM Mod.
  19. FYI, I don't believe that the Greek Phantoms (and F5s as well) had received their Aegean blue scheme yet in '76. I think it was introduced in around mid 80s, inspired from the Mirage F1 air superiority scheme...
  20. Great! I would like to be able to use my radiator too... (any info on that, BTW?) Why those handles were modelled on the Albatros radiator for, after all?
  21. I have his books on MvR and Hermann Goering. Very interesting! Thanks, Olham!
