  1. Exactly, the Idflieg numbering system was not type or factory related...
  2. Only later... Many differences between the two planes, except from the most obvious... (the rudder). Check out the D.III serials as well:
  3. Please don't flame me Olham, but you should switch places between the band and the cross on your new Jasta 15 kite. The cross is placed in the OAW style, also the serial is not valid for a D.III...
  4. Yes please, I too watch the movie constantly but still want some more... We haven't seen a single screenshot since the release of the movie! :clapping:
  5. You may be right, Olham... I wouldn't want to loose what is well established in OFF world in favor of state of the art graphics, but I'm sure the OBD team would have found other ways to surprise as then... And may will be able to in OFF3!
  6. Yes, there are in P3 already!
  7. Hi, redpiano I too myself started my WWI flying with RoF and then moved to OFF. The environment and the immersion OFF produces is the best I've ever experienced! Everything Creaghorn said is very true...Watch again the video to take your answers About the FMs, I agree with you about RoF's sense of flight, and I don't think it's matched in OFF, but it has so many things to offer that you feel sucked into a whole living and moving WWI world, RoF is lacking to represent, despite the state of the art graphics it offers...
  8. I totally agree with Bullethead, he was spot on! That preorder thing in RoF has became kind of frustrating! I'm kind of sceptical with RoF lately, (after the rediculous "personal package")... The new plans dissolved my dreams of ever seeing someday my favorite Albatros D.III and D.V, in RoF! Siggi wants the planes MvR was facing but even his own plane for "Bloody April" is missing! Anyway, where is P4? Isn't it time for a new preview movie?
  9. I think originally, the "two weeks" anecdote started from Oleg Maddox, ten years ago may be, in his correspondence to the IL-2 fans waiting for the upcoming then "IL-2 Forgotten Battles", at the Ubisoft Forums...(Oleg Maddox's Ready Room)...
  10. Speaking of Voss' family... I've found this beautifully colorized one, of Voss' mother and sisters meeting MvR:
  11. Great Olham! I particularly like your own little touch
  12. Thanks a lot, Lou...Great tip!
  13. I've bookmarked the site, long ago. Thanks for the heads up, Olham! The only drawback is that all those, most interersting photos, are in small size format... or I'm missing something?
  14. I've got the DVD, but thanks anyway.
  15. Ernst Udet's LO inscription, on the sides of his planes, from September '17, was dedicated to his, fiancee then and later wife, Eleanore Zink. But have you actually seen her before? I didn't... Greg vanWyngarden posted a picture of them both, at the 'drome today that I found most interesting. Here it is:
  16. Come on Mike... Here is MvR last claim form, ( he claims two Camels) with his signature for comparison...
  17. Also found there, a very good one of the Albatros D.V prototype, still with Johannisthal style rudder and with experimental lozenge camo painted on. The wings were also covered in lozenge fabric with reinforcement ribbons of the same material! (quite uncommon for Albatros Werke Johannisthal)...
  18. There is a freeware, alternative image manager, called FXAA (SXAA for ATI cards), that may help a lot to improve FPS, in CloD and not only... I'm using it with RoF as a JSGME Mod and I have improved not only the overall image quality, but the frame rate also! My game used to lag in low alt multi a/c dogfighting in heavy weather...not any more. I haven't tried it in CloD yet, though... http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3484798/Alternative_to_Anti_Aliasing_F.html#Post3484798 BTW, here is the last masterpiece by Ph0b0s95, the creator of "Pulse", posted above, using CloD:
  19. The De Havilland DH-89...
  20. Somebody stop me! biltongbru, (Tinus de Roux), the creator of "Wellington", has made some remarkable pictures, combining sim with real life footage. Using CloD: Using IL-2 1946: Also check his You Tube channel to watch some great documentaries he has made, (interviews with WWII pilots with sim dramatised scenes included): http://www.youtube.com/user/biltongbru?feature=watch
