We as a society are used to seeing female soldiers as something exotic like in the Amazon myths; with "women and children" the thing men are to protect. Yes, I did try it but I found the generated missions and new tooltips to be of lesser quality. Also, I never found out how to actually change flyable aircraft in a specific campaign; only how to create a brand new one.
