  1. The other option is to simply delete this entry from the HUDATA.INI. None of the TW sims have an issue with doing this.
  2. Nope. It's all good at this point. Thanks.
  3. A couple of us have hit some minor bugs with the Korean Campaign. 1. The USS Oriskany does not appear to be included in the download but is referenced in the campaign files. Tends to make for a short flight when trying to start from the carrier 2. Error in the Korean War_DATA.ini [AIRUNIT025] AircraftType=Au-1 <------------- change this to F4U-4 to get the carrier based corsair Squadron=VF-53 StartDate=7/1/1950
  4. http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_055a.html Not sure if this will help.
  5. WOE. I have all of them and this is the one I always come back to.
  6. Jazz and Blues, mostly, but I have an eclectic taste in pop. I care less about the artist these days than whether I just like the music or not. Listen to streaming jazz and jazz mp3s most of the time I'm at work. I like Hearts of Space (google it) for its very interesting musical offerings.
  7. Agreed. My apologies.
  8. I will not spend any more money with ED. Period. I have plenty of other sims to keep me busy and I don't have to muck around with sound settings to get them to run right. I could go on and on, but I've burdened others with my tale. I will leave it at this.
  9. AFAIK, there is no way to do this. While the aircraft carrier has some properties of an airfield I don't think the sim considers it as a start point regardless of the aircraft type. Question: Do you have WOV installed as well? It has a carrier take off mission you could use. Otherwise if I was at home I could whip up a quick mission that would do what you want. The bottom line is you will have to build a mission to do this. Not hard as they are text files, but it will take a little effort.
  10. It's fairly easy to look at a new campaign as an entirely new game. Given that, when you look at how many "games" have been generated using the TW engines we are getting quite a bang for our buck. I absolutely agree that you can eat up a lot of disk space, but I would also wonder if the majority of that space is "new" material (aircraft, etc.) specific to that campaign so even a merged install would not buy you that much. Probably depends on the campaign. Anyway, in the last week or so I've gotten a free Harrier sim and a free Korean war sim. Disk space is a small price to pay IMHO.
  11. Woohoo!! Who's working on the avionics? Be interesting to see if we can adapt the A-10 TV display to this bird.
  12. Not sure how many WC fans are around here but this is a project I'm helping with that looks to be very good when it's done. It's based off the Freespace 2 engine and will be completely free. http://www.wcsaga.com/ It will be a while until it is finished but the devs try to keep everyone up to date with progress reports.
  13. I believe it would be then end of the universe as we know it.
  14. This might help.... http://www.helis.com/types/gunship.php Good synopsis. Vietnam is really where the gunship came into its own. This is pretty good, too.. http://www.korean-war.com/KWAircraft/index.html
  15. I'm in as well. I am having a blast with all of the TW sims and have just started poking around with minor modding. (Trying to build a side by side cockpit for the Skyknight....) The TW sims have let me fly planes I only dreamed of: F-100, A-4, A-6, A-7, etc. This plus the fact that I have been very frustrated with other modern aircraft sims and TW will get my sim dollars going forward for some time to come.) (Just wish TK would accidentally release the avionics DLL for the F-22......)
  16. Oh. I do, too. It's just I stumbled across that fact that the lastest weapons pack would not work without the lastest greatest patches. I did not have an issue with the KAW mod, per se.
  17. TW has rolled up some of the earlier service packs into a single patch. Go here. http://www.thirdwire.com/downloads_sfp1.htm There are basically now just two patches to bring SFP1 up to speed. (As I understand it.) I had the same issue trying to get the Korean Air War campaign up and running.
  18. Found it!! http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=3329 Sheesh. Sorry for the hassle and confusion.
  19. Looks like I have to buy the terrain at Razbam's?? (Tempting, but not in the budget right now.) It might help to have a note in the readme to that effect. Just a suggestion...
  20. Ok. I am sorry. I did do a search and got 20 pages of results. (Does the search work??) I have tried looking through the terrain downloads. If it is there I am missing it. Thanks for any help. kk
  21. It's the OPTIONS.INI file that is driving your issue, not the aircraft.ini (although that has to be set up correctly as well.)
  22. So a decent movie, eh?
  23. Very nice. Thanks for the info.
  24. Does YAP have one? Just curious. I had a buddy that flew in the backseat for the Nebraska ANG.
  25. Woohoo! Nice work, dude! I've got one of each. Little older though (23 & 21)
