  1. Suez was covered in JANES Israeli Fighters. That was the JANES release between "Fighters Anthology" and "USAF fighters'. The flyables included the F-4E, Mirage III, and F-15A
  2. Nice one Flanker!! Looking forward to this for Pacific Fleet deployments,....maybe Tiwan, or Korea  I thought VF-213 was called the "Black Lions" ?
  3. A) "The Vulcan Science Directorate has established that time travel is impossible" B) The new equipment works Mr. President C) "It's ok boys, don't bother me again! Those are B-17s from the mainland due to arrive in a few hours."
  4. I agree, and to further above comments, Only 1 sim, Fleet Defender, has ever modeled the F-14 which high is on my personal list of "I'll always fly". Now how about a "dedicated" Vought F4U sim? That's "never" been done.
  5. I started working on an F-18 blue angels skin before I knew about the C6 megapack which BPAO informed me of. He said that model is a more advanced one. I havn't had a chance lately to finish it, but it is close, and I already have BPAO and USAFMTL's permissions. I will finish it when I have a bit of time away from work. I included some mid development pics in the readme.doc of the USN modex pack that I uploaded.
  6. WOW, that looks great Fubar! kind of looks like a collision of a SU-27, a KFir, and a Mirage 2000 . So do you mean to continually tease us by adding to the list, or are you ever going to give us the other Sukhois? Hint24...Hint25.....Hint33etc ... kidding-...to a point
  7. Well, I hope I'm wrong, but that seems to be a limitation of the game engine. Though there are many "nations" in the game engine, there only seems to be "red" and "blue" for those nations to be aligned to. The game would have to have some definition of "neutral" to define how red and blue interact with neutral. Like I said....I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think the engine has support for something between friend and enemy. That is a good idea though if the definition is there in the engine.
  8. LOL, I'm originally from NE Indiana, I like the idea of leaving the clocks alone much better . Nice work on the F-35, you might even make me (former F-4E, F-16C, C-130H mechanic and Grumman fanatic amature NAVAIR historian) a believer. The last time they tried that concept of one-for-all the good that came to being was the Tomcat she'll be missed .
  9. Thanks guys!! Outstanding work. Downloading it now and looking forward to seeing it in action . Question, does this overwrite the v1.0 A-6E? If so, I guess it'll be back to square 2 or 3 for my "no 2" project . Thanks!
  10. Hey Bulldog, the official font is called "Military Block". I'm not sure wether or not a complete set can be downloaded somewhere and added to a computer's font sources, but you might try a search of the word "font" to find suppliers, then search military block from each supplier. I did this with a font that I wanted for Star Trek (Eurostyle Bold Extended). I've thought about doing a search for military block, but just havn't....I painted it on F-4Es,F-16Cs, and C-130Hs for 17 years.
  11. Too funny!! What version of F-15 is that? It wouldn't be the F-15FS (Flintstones) would it? When do we get one of those for the game? Ahhh PR work.
  12. WOW!! Lotsa love for the Flankers.....Count me in too!!!! Great work Marcelo. I can't wait for all of them too, though I have a special interest in the Su-33. Too bad she will not have waterwings.....unless there's something noone's told us yet . If you plan on releasing any of them soon I won't be able to finish my 3 repaint projects that I have in the works lol . I've been flying the first Flanker too much! Looking forward to the rest.
  13. Thanks guys. OutStanding work!!! It's like Christmas in February!! I can't decide if I want to shoot it, or fly it more
  14. Nice find Lloyd! I managed to get them to work just fine in PSP6 thanks to the link posted by Sidewinder (Thanks bunches!!) I'm making full color decals and setting up the alphas with no difficulty so far if I follow 2 rules. 1) I make the image I want as the decal using the image background color anywhere I want the aircraft skin to show through, and copy and paste that image as transparent selection to the square canvas for the decal 2) instead of using the magic wand I open the selection tab and click on "invert selection" I've got 2 projects near completion now, and will be posting them soon
  15. This is built into the engine. Every object has a start and end date (in the data.ini I believe). The game engine should pick only those objects that were available in the selected year when you set up single mission or campaign.
  16. I think this might be a bug in the campaign. As you leave the objective point, look at the map and make sure the waypoint you are flying to (the triangle) and the one shown on the map are the same. Scrolling to the next waypoint and then back to the present has seemed to fix this for me. I think for some reason when you complete your objective part of the Campaign engine seems to skip a waypoint and part doesn't. Re-aligning the selected waypoint and the one depicted in the map corrects the carrier not being anywhere nearby when you get to the last waypoint. I also make sure I know what direction the carrier was headed when I launched so I can look for it with the radar when I get back if need be. Lastly, if you forget to re-align the waypoints be prepared to divert ashore. Once I've lost the carrier in this manner, I've never found it, even with an 80 mile range setting on the A-6 AG radar, I searched for 30 minutes. I'm not sure if the game just removes it, or if it is just so far off the map due to the mis-aligned waypoint.
  17. Thanks bunches Sidewinder!! Checking that out right now.
  18. No I havn't, but I will. I might even try photoshop too. Thnaks
  19. Hey guys, That looks great!!!! USAFMTL, those screens of the terrain are wonderful!! I've flown over Cuba, into Jose Marti Intl to be exact, and those terrain textures are the best representation of what it actually looks like I've seen. I havn't had a chance to download OTC yet, but I intend to now :) !!
  20. Do any of you skinners use PSP? I'm having trouble figureing out how to make alphas that will work in the SPF series. I'm trying to make number decals for a skin that I've been working on and only need to make the alphas but every attempt to create them seems to not work in game. I know I have to be missing something in PSP but the instructions for creating alphas in the PSP help are quite vague. Assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  21. For whomever is makeing it, I'm looking forward to it too. More MODERN Targets !! Fleet Defence- bring on the Tomcats
  22. View File DRD_USN- Modex_v01-09-2007.zip USN Modex number pack. This is a rename of the stock USNFighterNum, USNAttackNum, and some USMCNum TGAs to allow for somewhat accurate modex numbers on USN aircraft. This will solve the problem of no number showing in Campaign, or wrong numbers (e.g. 300s showing when the number should be 100s). These numbers will also be the same in single player and campaign for a particular skin (e.g. The same skin will show 200s in both single and campaign). These numbers are BLACK to keep in line with the USN policy of Black or Grey markings on low-vis paint schemes as well as the general standard for hi-vis schemes. They can be modified to accomodate other colors (see the readme). This pack requires 13mb HD space. Enjoy . Drdoyo Submitter drdoyo Submitted 01/24/2007 Category Skin Templates / Decal Sets
  23. Sounds like Florida's East Coast, California, and other select regions of the US. The $40,000 home with 3/4 acre I owned in Indiana sells comparibly for $120,000 to $150,000 here in the Fort Lauderdale area and with NO land. I can think of many words to describe how I feel seeing this and none are complimentary to those alowing/driving such pricing.

  25. Not a problem Southernap, it's just an entry in the decal.ini to use the correct series number. The only thing is that they will have to be numbered 400 - 424 since I'm using the original numbers from the CAT file. I'm using the originals because I can't seem to make an alpha channel that works. I have an old copy of PSP6 that was transferred through about 3 hard drives now, and bought PSP XI just to figure out the alpha channels again. I've been trying to work on deciphering how to make alphas that will work in game for a FA-18 skin that I've been working on since mid October, but the alphas are prooving to be smarter than me and not cooperating
