Great story, Sorry for my ignorance but i noticed the patches on the uniforms are all in English. Is English spoken during Military briefings?

Ive been running SF2E NF4+ with the June patch as Ive heard the Dec patch porked things a bit. Im now ready to upgrade and do the work on the inis. Is it just the afterburners and huds that need to be tweeked, or will my NF4 install be kaput with some insumountable terrain issue?

Wow! Talk about great customer service I found a way to get it working 5 mins before you posted the fix. Since I do have SF2E and a germanyce cat, I was able to extract the soviet and german airfield inis, open them with notepad and save them as ansi files. I then put them in the Kamchatka folder and still pointed to the desert cat in the ini.(Information I gleamed from your previous post). Ive since put those 8 airfield inis in the folders for Eritrea and Black Sea and it has fixed those too. Not quite Knowledge Base worthy info, but good to know. Thanks Baltika.

Thanks for the heads up on that,FYI I have SF2E, and no, putting the gen 2 GermanyCE cat file in the Kamchatka folder in a gen 1 sim didn't work. Worth a try

Great terrain! Anyone know a work around for the fact that I have only the desert cat file to point to and as a consequence, I can only do air starts because I start stacked up on the runway facing off center to the runway. And BOOM goes the dynamite, my whole flight blows up.

Yes dude, lots of work went into this, and its much appreciated. At first I thought it would be a poor man's YAP, but it stands on its own merit. It great to be able to fly someone's wing for a change and the immersion level with the formation flying is great. Just try to stay in formation with 8 other aircraft for any length of time. I merged mine with the WOV Gold mod and no probs so far. This must have been a labor of love for you man, and I'm really enjoying it. Even the mission briefs are top notch.

So I did, only the intercept mission I ended up getting was a two ship of F102s and red crown calls out bandits 17 seconds after liftoff. Beagles inbound 10 miles. Select nuke falcons, get radar lock, Fox 1. Only the target is now directly over the airfield.My airfield.Boom! Ever sucessfully complete a mission with -1400 points? Effect looked great though.

Yup thats it, the effect should be placed in the weapon's data ini as per the KB. Then add an effects shader such as EffectShaderName=twColor1.fx just after the effect heading, also I used the gen 1 aerial nuke effect data in my Effects folder. Thanks

Im not getting any effects from the AIM26As using Killerbee's weps pac for sf2. Missle object is in objects folder and falcons data points to the effect. The effect ini does seem short though. Anyone able to confirm this?

Thanks also to everyone who has taken the time to delve into a random simmer's arcane question. Sometimes a simple nudge in the right direction or a full fledged solution can fix a problem a player may not have figured out on their own. How many times have we forgotten the name of a file or a workaround to a glitch only to be saved by an informed community member? I've been with this sim since '04 and remember its growing pains. I remember "tHE SExx PLANe GuY", Digital Overblown, and the first "Why do we need another F-4?" beatdown.I also remember the first time I made a skin request and Fist of the Fleet custom made a skin for ME!! ( those A-4Bs from the USS Bennington my dad flew from in the 60's that you can download here were my request!) I check this site every stinkin day for my fix. I love you guys man

Perhaps you could work on an F-4 next?
