Went to the Combat Air Museum at Forbes Field in Topeka on Thursday. It's a small museum and a lot of the aircraft could use some restoration, but I enjoyed it. A lot of their aircraft have interesting histories. The Kansas National Guard Museum is also located there. I would have stopped and taken pictures of the displays there too, but my battery died. It was low already by the time I made it to the museum which explains the limited photos. Turns out they had an air show this weekend there, but I didn't attend. Wish I did.

You had a Vega? How long did it last before rust set in?

A racing fan but not a Formula 1 fan because of the politics, but this does look good.

Anything eburger has had a part in. I can't stress that enough. The follow on legacy support he provides to these campaigns is highly appreciated as well. I just rewatched Top Gun and that got me wondering. Did the school continue to train F-4 pilots after the F-14 became the primary fighter? How late into the F-4's career did pilots continue to be sent to the school?

Great photos! Were there any F-4s among the visiting aircraft?

Are you referring to safety wire (lock wire)?

If CH-47 mechanic pops up I'd definitely take that but I'm totally biased. But since you had Typhoon ground crew I'd take that, or any aviation based job. Good luck!

And I realize this is kind of an odd request, could someone attach a copy of the Draken's file in a post? Noticed it wasn't in any of my installs and I'd quite like to have it before I leave for a while to a place.

Both times I've been to the NMUSAF, I've find myself staring at the F-4s in awe. I plan on making another trip in 2015.
