  1. You don't have to understand or play OFF to know what he's talking about...atleast I didn't. The movie is called Downfall and yes, there is an English subtitled version. And, being a Patriots fan, is there any chance you could provide me with a link to the Super Bowl loss flip out?
  2. I've been able to download files and they've all come up clean.
  3. Just in case you haven't heard yet, it was announced on there website last night. I think most of the old Third Wire stuff is still there too.
  4. Any from the 50th FTS? I see. Now that I think about it, is it even possible to become a T-38 FAIP? Is being a FAIP a bad thing? Is that done during IFF?
  5. Thanks for the links to the books there, FC. I'm in need of a new book...or three. I wish the model shop near my town didn't burn down. They might have been able to get those 38s. I'll use ebay, then. Now, when you say you have some patches, FC... 4,000 hours in T-38s? Jeez someone must have started out as a FAIP to rack up that many. I have a couple questions about the T-38 right now actually. Are the T-38s used for IFF Training basic T-38Cs or are they modified in any way? Or even AT-38Cs? And my other question, has a bit of a story to it, but, when I was at Columbus, I got to sit in on a surface attack class for two guys who earned Vipers and one who earned Hogs. Anyway, the civilian instructor mentioned that when they go on range they'd have 100 rounds of 20mm and BDU-33s. Are there T-38s doing basic weapons training?
  6. Ok, since I've been back from SUPTFC and had a great time, I've been obsessed with the T-38. Are there any 1:72 models of T-38s? Maybe some good books on the Talon? Patches? Ever since I've last Tuesday, I've been obsessed with the T-38 like no other aircraft, I ever have been with before. I've got a Squadron Print of a T-38 from the 50th FTS, but I'm wanting more. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. What's happened in the Thirdwire world while I was gone at Columbus AFB, staring at T-38Cs (sexjet)? Any new awesome mods? I see that you're all still the same, which is good. (And yes, I'll upload my pictures soon.)
  8. Thanks you guys! See ya!
  9. Well folks, it's my turn to say I'm leaving for a while. Tomorrow I'm leaving for Columbus AFB for a week, and after that, and (hopefully) passing my course, I'll be on Cape Cod for a week of the beach. Yes, I'll take pictures of all the T-38s and T-6s and T-1As that I see. And maybe some of the airliners while I'm waiting at Logan, Charolette, and Birmingham. So yeah, I'll come back with 1GB worth of T-38 pictures. So, I'll see you guys in two weeks
  10. Happy birthday!
  11. The Connie's engines had a bad reputation in the early days.
  12. Well, I suppose it's better than if the Aussies chose a Sukhoi.
  13. You're probably getting it confused with the South African Darter missile, Jedi. Nice to see that the Indian Navy still has their Sea Harriers. The article mentions eight Sea Harriers, but does the Indian Navy have more?
  14. The change in cannon must be it then. PACMAN, sure, MiGs are easy to toy with in an F-4. But not in a Hunter or F-100.
  15. I had an easy solution to that problem. Don't talk about aircraft. It worked ....for so long I'm going to remember that Mustang comment.

    Happy birthday!
  17. Not sure why, but I find the MiG-17F to be a lot more intimidating than the MiG-17PF.
  18. Then the terrain isn't set for the right default terrain.cat I think.
  19. Happy birthday!
  20. It's a WIP by pureblue. It's a very nice map. Fubar: That ship, certainly does. Is that a natural gas tanker?
  21. S! When I was in Scotland in 2006, on several occasions, I saw Tornados flying in the weeds. I think on both occasions where they were very low, the aircraft were F3s. Judging by the fact that I saw Tornados flying around 10,000 feet and less than 1000, I'd say its normal.
  22. Well, here's my "Get to Know Your Aircraft" for the MiG-23. Pros: Speed, yeah that's really it* Countermeasures Cons: Radar- Maximum range of I think 25 miles? Weapons- R-23s aren't very effective in either the IR or radar version, R-3/R-13s suffer from the same problems as early AIM-9s Manueverability- Not really all that great unless you're flying between 320 to 400 knots Low speed handling- Feels like you'll stall any moment, sensitive and sluggish High speed handling- I found it rather uncontrolable Range- Horrible. Not as bad as a MiG-21, but you'll notice you'll go through the fuel real quick, if you can even find the fuel gauge, and the drop tank, if you've even added it, helps very little AG capability- It's an interceptor at heart Countermeasures- You only get six or so, and that's only in the MiG-23MLD if I'm not mistaken. *That speed comes in handy to get you away from a fight once you've realized all the cons.
  23. Awesome. Can't wait to put these in 337 AS colors. Hey Veltro, what was your solution to the pilot problem?
  24. Is there going to be a skin section for the stock SF2 series aircraft that have different mapping?

I love that sort of weather. Nice and cold. Although I'd imagine I'd enjoy the temperature in Brazil as well I think it's a real F-16. Block 10 IIRC. Although the AIM-9s certainly are fake. Not even training versions.
