  1. Don't make any very sudden manuevers either. I was on fire in an F/A-18 and I pulled all the way back on the stick and BOOM! Lieutenant Commander Ace Pilot is KIA. Make gentile turns...if you still have control surfaces
  2. On there for five minutes and Hoser's stuff is already giving me a good laugh!
  3. I'm starting to notice Chargers are replacing the Crown Vic.
  4. What is this Aero Elite I've heard so much about? In Over-G you can land, either for the hell of it or for fuel or weapons...it's also a great way to get a missile off you with the autoland feature! And landing on the carrier is challenging. Especially when your Tomcat has TF-30s. And getting a Three Wire....that is hard. I've put more Tomcats and Hornets into the back of the carrier or overshot in Over-G than I can count. In the end, it's all worth it. After you do the carrier landing training mission you unlock an F/A-18B (TF-18A ingame) Like Caesar said as well. I'd recommend it. Buy or rent.
  5. A couple of years ago....actually, more like five or six, I had just become obsessed with aviation. Was watching AMC and this was on. As soon as I saw the Kfirs posing as MiG-23s I turned the TV off. My dad just looked at me and I said, "Even I know aviation better than Hollywood." Then came TOP GUN.....
  6. You mean like how on the WWII maps there are static fighters and bombers? Hm...how hard would it be to make low poly versions of Veltro's jetliners for this task? Or, are they already low poly? I like the idea. Seems to be several civilian ideas for the series going around.
  7. Alright, Tomcat Bye-Bye, Baby! did a number on me so now I need to know. What are the best books about the F-14? I really have no specific thing I'm looking for. I'll read a book on it whether it be the history or the combat service or about the Persian Cats....or a NATOPS manuel. So, what are the best books about the Cat? I'm hoping to get some replies to this. I have April/Spring vacation in two weeks and I'll need some books to read to keep me occupied. I'm sure other members wouldn't mind having names of more Tomcat books either, so they could pick them up.

    Three books....

That's great. I'm reading Tomcat right now. It really is interesting. BTW, ST0RM, I saw some of your photos on a site about the 102nd FW. Nice shots!
  10. False. My selection is very....select The person below me has been Rick Roll'd many times.
  11. What is that? Why is it required?

    Three books....

I've picked up these three books since January. F-15 Eagle Engaged, Smoke Trails, and Grumman F-14 Tomcat Bye - Bye, Baby...! Anyone have any of these books? And are they any good?
  13. Over G was more realilistic than HAWX or Ace Combat. But beware: buggy, bad graphics, and you will get shot down A LOT.
  14. C5, that's scary. Mine is whatever the school offers.
  15. Isn't that like a swear word here?
  16. TRUE! An S-2 Firebomber....I think The person below me has crashed more than landed in sims.
  17. Would anyone else agree that Ace Combat is better in everyway?
  18. Uh, FALSE. Are you trying to get banned? The person below me has a Nintendo 64 still.
  19. Yeah, it's possible. There are some WWII floatplanes out there.
  20. It could be becuase in ODS, the textures are a standardized at 1024x1024 and 512x512 IIRC. I haven't tried out NFIII yet, (sorry C5!) but perhaps there are textures greater that that on some of the aircraft in the campaign.
  21. That'd be cool. Actually, it could lead to lots of ideas. FC already has the ASAT and that massive death laser developed. We could start space warfare....OR STAR WARS!!!!!
  22. I'm just amazed when I hear about the Black Cats. To have done a mission about them in COD WAW was just awesome.
