Odd aircraft - Dornier Do 200 for example
TX3RN0BILL replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
Another odd aircraft that never quite made it although I think it had revolutionary design enough to have been placed in production as a conventional aircraft instead of the V/STOL it was supposed to be is the XFV-12... Now THIS would be a plane to have in WoE... Part Skyhawk, part Phantom... But stronger than both! -
Trata-se de um helicóptero polaco, o PZL W-3 Sokół (Falcão)

I don't know if it would have been better for her if she'd asked for the question to be repeated so that she would be able to understand it... I mean, it was a simple question but I've seen people simply not answering just because they got blocked... But what she said I think was neither fish nor fowl...

I just hope that the also upcoming patch 1.09 (which will probably come after ArmA's expansion slated to arrive soon, called Queen's Gambit) will fix most issues, though with development well under way with ArmA 2 (since it was already in development whilst ArmA was being made), I think most are expecting to "jump ship" over to ArmA 2... I don't know what to expect from ArmA still, but I think that OFP2: Dragon Rising will be a flop, since the promo video released is mostly FMV, in spite of ingame units and vehicles having been used, the rest probably won't be like what was showed... Something BIS never had to do...

Well, I thought the thread title and first post by the threadstarter to be explicit enough...

Yeah, both Yeltsin's and Clinton's successors are more trigger-happy than the people they replaced...

Most blond babes = beautiful brainless bodies. There, I've said it. :tomato2: P.S.: Note that I said MOST, so please don't be offended if you're the exception instead of the rule...

A friend of mine downloaded the series for me, it's really great, from a visual point of view... The storyline gets a little too esoteric for my taste... But the visuals are great as well as the mechs... A quantum leap of quality compared to the Macross series, Macross Zero makes good use of CGI.

Yup, whoever knew that History would take so little time repeating itself? Or is this the end of summer break for the Cold War? What was it, like, some 20 years ago that Gorby was rummaging in Glasnost? Oh the nostalgia... But this time, let's make it more interesting, like a ménage à trois: the West, the Neo-Sovs, and China! P.S.: But with sigs like the big ones around here, I'm sure that there's something to keep us warm during the new ice age... Where can I get one of those?

Looks nice... Hope it's free of subscription; if it is count me in! Hope the fighters are really small fighters (like X-Wings or Tie Fighters) that face huge capital ships (think Freespace 2... ) - and joystick support is a must. Oh, if it were only true...

I must say I love the MiG-31 Firefox, it's now my favorite soviet plane... One has to learn not to step too much on the gas, for running the risk of being out of it too soon... But it is a beaut, and it's still possible to turn well with it... Definitely great to have it!

The Gripen seems to be nicely under way... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...0&start=160 Edit: SgtKAR98, none of those planes you mentioned were european...

Reminds me of that great phrase by Robert DeNiro in the movie "Ronin": "When there is a doubt, there is no doubt." (Referring to CIA taught rules). Seriously, the only reason for "common" being attached to "sense" is that someone always finds a way to make things go the way they shouldn't and/or "usually" or "normally" don't. But I've also learned in my life that there is no such thing as normality, hence, there is very little, if any, common sense. There are, at most, common Senseis! Edit: I live in a country which I think perhaps even proudly fights for the title of country with most deaths on the roads of Europe every year. Many years we've succeeded in earning the title, but Greece is giving us fierce competition. Oh, and if you were wondering, no, I don't hope to ever contribute to the effort, although I'm also a driver, I walk alot so I respect pedestrians... But this one thing amazes me. Women are most intolerable drivers towards pedestrians as a whole. When I walk around in the city, hardly any female driver stops for me to cross a road - and I make a point of only crossing where I'm allowed, which by law even gives me priority over vehicular traffic in my country. But mostly when a car stops, there's a man behind the wheel, and not a woman. I mean, I know I don't look like Leo DiCaprio, but that shouldn't mean that women shouldn't halt to let people cross the roads, right? And curiously, talking to other colleagues of mine, they complain about the same thing... It really doesn't help the female image as driver which kinda proves the disdain right...

You gotta hand it to the russians, at least they keep something in service that can fly REAL FAST...

They forgot to do a spoof of the Warthog's main asset, the GAU-8... That's just unforgivable!

It's powered by Duracell batteries... keeps on going, ya know?

Ora aí está uma boa pergunta... também queria saber... Será que funciona quando se tem exactamente os mesmos ficheiros mas com alterações em algum dos .ini (para armas etc) ?

... Until the competition flies stealth fighters of their own of course, which makes all things even again...

New russian stealth fighter
TX3RN0BILL replied to Falcon161's topic in Military and General Aviation
Funny though how the US cancels its new weapons programs due to money when Russia seems as happy as ever with their AKs, even though they are being perfectioned and rechambered and new weapons are added to the inventory, they're not so dissatisfied with the AKs as the US are with their M-16s... On the account of the F-22, unless there will be a navalised version of it, the Navy won't help but feel castrated in having the F/A-18 instead of the F-14, I think that plane didn't get to reach it's full potential... So, just like in the movie Stealth, I think at least the USN needs the Talon... -
Talk about a quick turnaround! Didn't know that the thrust-deflecting system the Viggen has in the tail was designed so that the aircraft can go in reverse on the ground... really looks cool!
