  1. No, silly..... I'm not talking about the plane.
  2. The tracers are the right diameter (30 mm), and the length is probably more true-to-life than the default. As to the tracer color; well, that is a bit questionable, though I've seen footage of Su-27s firing blue-white tracers...but that's not what I'm looking for. It's something else, something that was missing from this sim.....
  3. Anyone care to guess as to what's different in this video? http://forum.combatace.com/uploads/1214338...9_43_786141.wmv
  4. Did you bother to read the knowledge base? In the intermediate modding section, you'll find a post titled 'Flare & Chaff Realism edits'. Try that, and you should experience a 30-50% improvement in missile effectiveness.
  5. A writeup of the accident: http://www.mycentraljersey.com/apps/pbcs.d...PORTS/806220380 The irony of this, is that I witnessed a similar tragedy at the same track during the summer of 1977 or '78, and the driver was even running in the same lane that Scott Kalitta had his accident in. The car in that incident was a jet dragster, essentially a J-79 bolted to a tube frame. Somehow, the the driver lost conciousness, never tripped the braking 'chutes, and hit the wall at the end of the track at well over 300 MPH. Here's a Youtube clip of J-79 powered jet dragsters at the same track...gee, they even sound like an F-104 (or an F-4)!
  6. Try forcing WoE to run in WindowsXP SP2 compatibility mode.
  7. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080623/D91FMOEO0.html Wow, It seems like I saw him on an HBO specual, just yesterday (it was in April). He will be missed
  8. It's there. just hit the "F5" key to refresh explorer, and you should see it.
  9. The '29A is a new model by the Mirage Factory, thanks to the efforts of Flying Toaster and Paladrian (3d model & cockpit). The Sea Flanker is Marcelo's model. Both are works in progress, awaiting the release of SP5 for SF/WoV, and WoE. This is being done so as to eliminate the need to create two sets of flight models.
  10. Just looking for opinions here, which effect do you prefer? #1 or, #2?
  11. If those two SAM radars are of the same network type (say, SA-2 or SA-3), then yes, they will interact and either of them can and will guide a SAM if the target is within the SAM's engagement envelope. This is quite evident when dealing with a terrain that has only one SAM-type, such as WoV's "VietnamSEA".
  12. Thanks, The description page has been updated
  13. Warlord, Thank you for pointing that out, and for providing a solution. Despite spending 5+ years mucking around with Third Wire sims, I wasn't even aware that easy avionics defaulted to it's own ini file! Would you mind if I added this to the file's "description" page (crediting you, of course)?
  14. And on that note, I bring you the latest video from "Nah Nah Nah Nah" productions, TeaserVid1!!!! Rejoice!!!! http://forum.combatace.com/uploads/1213532..._43_1355960.wmv
  15. Install Pasko's SAM Pack and Bunyap's weapon pack, and you'll have SA-3s, SA-8s, and SA-9s to deal with, as well as a Chaparral. Might as well grab Fast Cargo's SA-5, while you're at it. Bonus Tip: Edit the GroundObjectRole of the SA-8, 9, and Chaparral to read "Mobile_AAA", instead of "Mobile_SAM". and the nasty little buggers will be everywhere.
  16. Simply placing stuff randomly will not help, either. Sa-2/3/5/6 & Hawks need to arrayed in a battery arround their search and acquistion radars. Peruse the terrain_targets.ini from your default terrain, and find an existing SA-2 battery. Copy the offsets for the various launchers and supporting radar(s), then set up the SAM batteries on the terrain of your choice using that layout.
